I wonder how great Andre was back in the 70s? That Iron Sheik vs Andre clip they had looked good. Wow Andre was working over the Arm!!!!!

Andre was a decent wrestler until he got fat. And Andre was easily over 500 pounds, so he can drink a 24 case and still not be buzz.

Even though he sucked, I still can't think of how you can *not* love the guy. In fact, I don't know many people that don't love him...

Andre seemed really genuine on camera. In that, you can easily sense if he was having a good time, if he was pissed, tired, ect.

Having not seen Andre except the matches from WM3 on (the tail end of his career) I fail to understand why so many people love him and hate the Big Show. The skill level is roughly the same.

 

That said, I'm gonna try and track down some earlier Andre stuff.

I think it has more to do with Andre's charisma than talent. Plus, Andre was around in a different era of wrestling. The giant man just isn't the same these days.

If the show was around in 80's I just might say he would be as big as a star as Andre...because Show is more expressive and clearer.

The Big Show is easily 10 times the wrestler Andre ever was but since Andre came up in a different time and was undefeted for so many years he was loved.
