Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 4, 2002 We all hate this necro shit, period, but will we not always rememebr HHH as the guy who fucked the corpse and Kane as the guy he was fighting. Yeah HHH is all on top now, but next month, new angles, but wont the fans chant something like "you fuck corpses" because this angle will never be forgotten due to its horribly nature. I mean it reminds me of Shane Douglas and the Dynamic Duo, we won't let it go, no matter how much he wants us to forget it. So do you think HHH's career is ever gonna get over acting like fucking a corpse? What about Kane? Honestly I think HHH scarred his career for life with it, Kane maybe able to move on, but I doubt it since he was never that over in the first place.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I'm hoping that this angle has forever ruined the career of HHH. That would be poetic justice in my opinion. HOWEVER, for some reason I'm hoping that Kane recovers from this storyline. Because I've liked Kane ever since he and Austin dumped Paul Bearer down a sewer. That was just a funny moment to me. Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted November 4, 2002 HHH will, since it was really Kane who looked bad in the storyline. HHH just messed around with a dummy to "mess with Kane's head". HHH is smart (in the storyline). On the other hand, they've never actually come out and said Kane isn't a necropheliac. Besides...HHH can just put himself over the entire Raw locker-room 20 times in order to make himself look strong again.
Guest jester Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I think Kane suffered the most. He was being a decent midcard goof until this push. I think they're going to drop him down again now, and it will be hard to recover from that. Meanwhile, his Gameness has Ric Flair shining his shoes, and is probably about to slap HBK around. He'll do fine, sadly.

I promise you if shit like that happens, some will walk. And at a certain point the ratings wont justify HHH being the ME and he will go away.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Kane obviously suffered the most. He was the face...and all this did was kill his heat without any way for him to get it back from this angle. Something tells me that HHH will be fine. It's not like they're going to stop pushing him down everyone's throat.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted November 4, 2002 HHH will never recover from what is going on right now. Not just the necrophelia angle, but all this shit he is pulling. It has gotten to the point where no matter what he does, he will never be accepted again. Much like Hall & Nash. It won't stop them from pushing him though. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I can understand Nash...but Hall never booked himself to success anyway. Nash is in with HHH (with the exception of 2000, when everything was drawing) as both used their pull to be on top, but neither drew well. Hogan was a shit too...but at least he drew for a time. I was referring to his drinking problem. Even if he does quit, the fans will never forget it. Same symptoms, different cause.

It was the saddest and most pathetic angle in wrestling EVER. I honestly felt bad for the both of them. Why one had to participate, and how one choose to participate. Fuck, Triple H helped with the angle. Bloody rubbish. No way, now how. This angle will be Triple H's professional undoing, whether he wants to be a Hollywood star or a long-term wrestling star - he performed career suicide. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I promise you if shit like that happens, some will walk. And at a certain point the ratings wont justify HHH being the ME and he will go away. I'd like to think the wrestlers would take a stand, but I don't think they have the nerve to walk out.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Kane is fucked here. He got a push that no one wanted to see anyway and then they proceeded to do a series of even worse ideas than that for the feud. It is more complex in regards to HHH....is he hurt by this? Yes, but will he be blamed? That is the more important question. Not really. They'll continue to push him, maybe make him job at Series but he'll still get a main event push. Kane however will be blamed for this angle and his career will never recover from it.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I'd like to think the wrestlers would take a stand, but I don't think they have the nerve to walk out. Austin, one of the federations 2 biggest stars, already walked, I wouldnt put it past anyone. Foley would have walked if he was still active i bet. If it gets to certain points someone will walk. I mean at a certain point Benoit will probably go fuck this, I am better then this, and he is right, and go work in Japan or Indies, but because he loves the art of wrestling, and god fucking bless him for it, it might take a few years before it happens. But if they take Angle away from him it will happen faster then anyone could think. But thats my opinion. I cant see anyone like Taker, because he makes mad money doing it, but some of the midcard guys who have years left might. Val Venis I'm looking at you. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I doubt it. Benoit's been pretty protected on the SmackDown roster. The other thing is the WWE paid for his neck surgery, and I doubt he's going to leave the security because he gets a chance to wrestle, stick around near the uppercard, and there are lots of guys he likes there (Guerreros, Knoble, Malenko as a road agent, Jericho on RAW). Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Yeah, but lets rememebr WCW Benoit, they gave him the title and he still walked. I'm just saying if they dont keep him happy, he will probably be a walker because he knows he could work anywhere else he wanted. Also if they bump him down, I can see him walking, and yes i can see politics making him get depushed because he's stiff and could be a threat to other main eventers heat and positions. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 5, 2002 WCW Benoit was also being screwed left and right, and he had others willing to back him and an alternative. He's very protected on this roster and treated like main event talent.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I highly doubt that he'd bang Stephanie anytime soon either...
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 5, 2002 If he's so main event, why isnt he even considered for the title, I mean yeah his tag matches are king swank, but they haven't even hinted at him being able to take on Brock or HHH (Both of which I'm sure he could). It reminds me of what they told Austin in WCW, no brother, we need you in this role, no brother, thats not for you, thats for someone else, but Benoit being the unselfish bastard that he is, probably doenst care. I just feel so bad for the guy when he could be saving the company when they are just using him to keep the smarks intrested and making smackdown worth watching. I mean he's moer talented then what, 80% of the roster? He still has alternatives, Japan would welcome him back with open arms anytime.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Yeah Benoit's not going for the title, but if he was put in an angle with Brock or HHH, the crowd would buy it, because he's been high profile and looked good ever since he came to Smackdown. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I hope this angle ruins both of them. And by some freak act, it ruins Brock too. That would rule.

Same with Angle. The difference being that Austin wasn't being put in this high profile role along the lines of Benoit and being allowed to control as much as he did. Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted November 5, 2002 So cynicalprofit, pray tell me, just what the hell would Benoit do in Japan? AJPW is shite now and run by an egomaniac even more powerful than HHH and New Japan is overrun with shoot/worked shoot wrestlers, with their junior division a very low priority. Benoit's not a worked shoot guy, so just what would he do? Bear in mind he was only ever a junior there anyway, so the Japanese public have no real perception of him as a credible heavyweight wrestler. "Japan" is not this great haven of pure wrestling these days. Before yes, now no. Unless of course Benoit were to have a sex change, if the quality of Joshi is what I'm led to believe, then he is simply wrestling better opponents at the moment in a company that does seem to give something of a shit about his well being. Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Id rather see Benoit bust his ass for 20 minutes then have to play second fiddle to guys like HHH. Benoit was is like what, 250, Im sure he could hang with the big boys with all his experience. And let him and lyger just go and go, and isnt M-Pro still going? What about hayabusa's new league, or Touryman(sp) which is full of juniors if I recall correctly(I only know of juniors there so Im probably wrong). Fine send him to Mexico then (I have no idea whats going on in Mexico wrestling right now, i just said it as an alternative to thehamburs remarks), i dont care, he just should be a champion here in the us, and not held down because of politics.
