Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted November 4, 2002 This goes out to BPS more then anyone, I just hope you saw the Pats DEYSTROY the Bills this week. Buffalo is a much better teasm then they were last year but they just aren't ready yet.
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Buffalo just has a much better QB. The margin between Bledsoe and Rob Johnson is gigantic. The rest of the team is exactly the same... their defense still sucks.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Argh. As bad as I want to say the Patsies won't make the playoffs, Miami tanking it all of a sudden isn't helping that argument. The Patsies have to win the division because the two wild cards are going to AFC West teams..
Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I think there is a a chance that with the quality of the AFC west teams that they may beat up on each other so much that the wild card doesn't come out of the west. And with Henry's emergance as a good running back Bills have improved dramaticly on offense. They have what they need on offense they just need to improve on defense. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 They called it the Bledsoe Bowl because he was the only person on the team that showed up to play. Defense? HA. Special Teams? HA. Three missed FGs! one from 25 big yards out. Coaching... Ugh. They refused to challenge what may have been a Riemersma TD despite the fact that it was close enough to review and was the first half when they used no timeouts anyway. So then the third quarter comes and the score is 17-7 and the Bills are driving... 4th and 2 from the New England 32... AND THEY PUNT!!! Team completely quit after that, at least the offense did as the D never showed up anyway. Punted with one of the best offenses in the league when they need two yards and Henry was averaging a ton of yards at that point. Geniuses. The Brady Bomb killed us. 23 passes...17 of which were thrown 2 yards from the line of scrimmage or less. 17! Did we adjust to cover this Brady bomb? Of course not. Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Antowain Smith finally got in shape, it took half a season but at least now the Pats have an average running game.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 They should have played Buffalo earlier in the year. He always gets going for that game. Coy Wire's inability to tackle and Eddie Robinson's inabilty to cover out of the backfield helped too.
Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Well from my eyes with this one game the Pats have totally cemented themselves as back in the playoff race.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Well your eyes are biased so that means very little. Everyone who can look at New England clearly knows that they haven't cemented anything yet.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I wouldn't call winning one of your last four games cementing. But at least the Pats figured out what was wrong. "You know Antowain Smith?" "You mean the guy who single handedly dragged us to the Super Bowl last year?" "Yeah, him. Maybe we should give him the ball...?" "Hmmm....." Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Can't we just not give a spot to the AFC South? You know they're going to lose to the wild card team. Right now you have six (seven?) good teams between the West and East. Game you might wanna mark on the calendar: Raiders and Patriots in two weeks. And might I add thats six days after the Raiders go up a mile high, a place they haven't won at since something like 1994. And I don't believe the Dolphins are tanking just yet. A loss to a good KC team we shoulda beat, and Ray Lucas completely bombing and handing the game to the Bills. The week before we beat the new favorite AFC Champion, Denver, at Denver. Week before that was a certain defending Super Bowl champion. Now that I've ran my mouth, I'm prepared for the blowout at Lambeau.
Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I think Miami is a good team but with the loss of Fiedler and the fact that the kryptonite of the dolphins(cold weather)is coming very soon, I think they are going to hit a hard stretch.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I think Miami will be just fine when Fiedler comes back though. All that matters is that they make the playoffs, not what seed they are.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I went to the game. Let me just say that 90% of the fans that came down from New England were the WORST fans I've ever seen. And I've been going to Bills games for 12 years. It didn't help that the guy in front of me was the nephew of one of the Patriots linebackers (#57 I think he said) - "THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS VERSUS THE SUPER BOWL CHUMPS! FUCK THE FUCKING BILLS!!!..." And it went on. All game. The last thing I need is spoiled, funny-talking assholes in my stadium. New England can take their clam chowder and their fluke season and stick it up their collective asses. See? Venting's fun!

Maybe the gloating can wait until you put together a winning streak again. *Looks at Pats schedule* Let's see Bears Vikings Raiders (Hmmmm, maybe) Lions Looks like going 3-1 (and maybe 4-0) isn't TOO implausible at this point. Guest DrTom Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Kingpk, the Raiders are PISSED about the Snow Bowl last year. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a locker room bounty on Brady's head. I know the Raiders are on a severe cold streak right now, but it's a certainty they're going to bring their A-game against the Pats. The Bears and Vikings might give your boys some trouble, too. The Pats should still beat those teams, but I think they'll struggle against at least one of them.
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 5, 2002 The Pats look really good now. With Fiedler out, Miami will struggle to win another game, and Buffalo's schedule isn't easy. None of those games are gimmies for the Pats, though. I know they looked great against Buffalo, but that was mostly due to Belichick incredibly outcoaching Williams... they can still be run on easily.

Well no shit, but as long as the Pats control the clock with their short passing game and the run, they should be able to wear out the Raiders D (as the 49ers showed this week) and keep the offense off the field. Should be a fun game though, and since they'll only really have 1 day to prepare for the Lions, who knows after that. I just want to be optimistic.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Boston fans are the best we go from one extreme to the other the despair loomed heavy on Friday from everyone i talked to and now all you hears is "playoffs are back on, redefining moment, et etc" all based on beating a defense that cannot hang currently in the league. The biggest worries were Henry and Drew but they tightened up in the red zone to stop them when it mattered. I just think its funny cause i had 5 people tell me they were out and im trying to tell them its not that bad..yet, and the same 5 people today act like they never said it..lol that oakland crowd is going to be very scary 1) chip on their shoulder about the snow game 2) THEYRE THE FRIGGIN RAIDER FANS- THEY DONT NEED ANYMORE REASON OR AMMUNITION!!!!
