Guest notJames Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I'd be happy if Brock tore into the Bowel Evacuation Chamber and killed everything in sight, then proclaimed himself the only champion that matters. Seriously, that RAW belt isn't worth shit. And none of the competitors has been built up as a credible titleholder, not even the current one. Putting them all in a cage is only going to give us an indication of the kind of politics that's gossiped about ad nauseum. No wonder I fell asleep during the Main Event last night. RAW makes my head hurt.
Guest Brian Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 It's strange. Jericho's the one guy in the fed who's work isn't hurt by a face turn. Everyone else seems to really hit lulls or get lazy, or in the case of some like Benoit they have more control as a face.
Guest cabbageboy Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 What is with this Booker support over RVD? Did you WATCH him last night? My god the man could barely connect with any of his spots it seemed like. That's Booker's main problem: he's over enough, but he doesn't really do much in the ring that's all that interesting. I think people are looking at things a bit the wrong way....Booker and Kane beat HHH on Raw just to put heat on Michaels, so that way HHH can beat Shawn at Series. Know what I mean? Jericho already vowed to get rid of Booker, and that is what will happen to set up a feud for the DEC. PPV. This sounds weird but RVD works best these days in an almost Goldberg type role: not on the show much, he comes out, kicks someone's ass, doesn't run his mouth, and leaves. Why has no one mentioned that RVD is the only man in the E. Chamber match who has not won a world title? I want him to win it. Those who think his mic skills suck don't realize it is the writers who suck. RVD can cut some terrific, funny promos within his particular style. I almost think they should give him the gimmick of being stoned all the time, at least they could sell some RVD 4:20 shirts out of it.
Guest The Hamburglar Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 At present, a face Jericho is really the only worthwhile Raw champion. Everyone else's faults have been documented well here. RVD should never get a world title until he manages to channel the pops he gets for his moves and his stoner personality into a heated, interesting feud. The man had a feud with Eddy freaking Guerrero that bored the shit out of me. How do you have a boring feud with Eddy? The closest RVD has come to a decent feud was his interaction with Austin, which was genuinely funny and had a decent premise - RVD was a threat to Austin's position as Alliance Leader. The fact that RVD was wrestling better then helped too. It is true that he's not that bad on the mic when used correctly as with the Austin stuff above. It was hilarious when Austin was interrogating him and shining a light in his face this time last year.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I second notJames' Brock idea. That'd be a nice step in the right direction. Brock eat Raw...Brock grow strong...
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 Booker or Jericho should win, logically. That being said, watch HHH retain on Sunday.
Guest Brian Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I still think that the point of Christian/Jericho teaming is to spark a Jericho face turn and give Christian more momentum as a heel that he lost off Edge.
