Guest Anglesault Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Well, Eddy got sacrificed and they managed to job Angle out to Edge AGAIN. Notice how anytime Angle beats Edge, Edge gets the win back immediately? I'm so not watching this show.
Guest nikowwf Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 but angle beat edge clean, and edge beat angle only after benoit his own partner hit him. I dont think this makes Angle look weak. niko
Guest Banky Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 I could care less that Eddie jobs, but it seems as though he does is such a decisive fashion. Also, the fact, as it is reported, is that he hardly gets any offense in. Someone could have come tripped him up, or it could have been a competitive match - but it wasn't, and thats unfortunate. Eddie is one of the more talented and over stars, he doesn't have to win, but he should get SOME offense. Of course I'll stand corrected if he actually does get offense in and the spoilers through me off. MrZsasz, I won't chill the "fuck" out. So please don't act like a tough guy. A squash is different than a simple defeat - understand that, then you can tell me to shut my piehole.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Even thought it will be easily a **** match, Anglesault still won't watch. Makes No Sense.

They're not a team anymore, they hate eachother. This was done to get the titles to a team that can defend them more often. Plus, the tag titles were hindering the feud since they have to stay a team while they have them.

Smokin weed, smokin weed, doin whores, drinking beers, rollin fattys, who smaokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts! There that got it out of my system. Eddy should be getting squashed by Brock. Brock's character is that he's indestructable, Eddy lost Rey Rey last week. This won't hurt his heat, so chill out. It was TOTALLY overshadowed by the Big Show thing ANYWAY. ~ So Sayeth Zsasz
Guest Banky Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Its the principality of the issue, Eddie rules and shouldn't be squashed by anyone - its my fucked up bias, so thats what I am acting like a little girl. I see your point of view, but I'd rather sulk in the corner...alone...and sad.

Brock needs some extra heat. So they had him go over one fo the top heels on SD! That is a logical booking decision. You know as well as I, that WCW jobbed Eddy to hell and the fans still hated him like crazy.

Do you want to re-think that comment? Thats purely ridiculous. A defeat is fine, a squash just hurts the wrestler. Its what they do to people like Perry Saturn when they rough up a preliminary wrestler, not when they are also trying to push someone. It makes NO SENSE, that Eddie will be getting killed on Thursday, then on Tuesday he'll defeat Edge and Benoit. it just makes guys like Benoit, Angle, Edge, Guerrero, ect...blatantly inferior to Lesnar and the Big Show.

It's logical for a huge face champion to squash a smaller upper-midcard heel for a couple reasons: 1. THE FANS DIDN'T EXPECT GUERRERO TO WIN ANYWAY. In the viewers eyes, Brock's higher up on the wrestling food-chain than Eddy. What I mean by this is that Brock is a dominant world champ. I'm sure the levels of Offense for Eddy were exaggerated and that Eddy got to control part of the match. This isn't SUPERSTARS. I'm also sure that Brock sold his ass of for his offense. Brock needs to win like this so he looks credible. If Rikishi was in Eddy's place I would say the same thing. It isn't about Eddy. Brock is the champ. Eddy was the sacrifice. Dem's the breaks.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Marvins Super Special Early Smackdown Report: Mixed Tag Match was ok, Cena vs Rikishi was horrible. Big Show vs Matt Hardy was pretty much an ugly, but quick squash, although when Show did his speech at the end he had blood running down the side of his nose from when Matt bit him shortly before the end of the match.. (Matt Hardy Facts: Matt hates cold weather and Matt scored a 1330 on his SATs) Seeing Brock destroy the TV set was pretty cool. Brock MAD! Brock DESTROY! (he didn't say that..) The Al Wilson segment was probably the worst segment so far, the crowd was totally dead and Tazz and Cole were making jokes (Tazz said that Al has something in common with Mark Martin in NASCAR, who drives the Viagra #6 car..).. The 2 out of 3 Falls Tag match was just awesome, I think it got about 20-25 minutes (not including 2 commercial breaks) and the restart after Angle had his hand on the rope and still having Rey/Edge win was pretty cool (you could almost tell the crowd expected Angle/Benoit to win and they popped louder for the real victory..) The Super Tuesday Logo looks like the SuperMan Logo with a metal rim and ST in the middle... Brock vs Eddy was ok but not that great..and we know that Show can pick up Brock.. Overall, this show is a must see for the Tag Match alone and possibly the Brock Eddy match.
