Intresting.....I'm not sure if I want RVD the guy defending me when he asks about the HHH dead rape angle.

"SO, how do you feel about it?"

"Whatever"

I'm sure it'll be "It was so bad, I had to smoke a bowl to forget about it" instead of "whatever".

*Ted Turners phone rings*

Ted: Yellow?

Vince: Ha ha, HEY Ted, how ya doin, ha ha?

Ted: Peachy, uh, how are you...umm..uhh

Vince: It's ME, Vince Mcmahon!

Ted: OH! Hey Vince! How ya doin?

Vince: oh, not bad Ted, you?

Ted: Just layin on a bed of money.

Vince: Super, now Ted, remember that time I bailed you out and took WCW off your hands so your lil AOL/Time Warner merger could go through... Well, now I need your help.

Ted: Okey dokie.

Vince: Well ya see I've been tryin to do that edgy television that made me so successful and crushed WCW but the thing is, no one is pickin up on it. I am out in the cold here, no one is biting. They say that bad publicity is better than no publicity and if that ain't the truth I don't know what is.

Ted: Ok, so what do you want me to do?

Vince: Well, I need some air time.

Ted: Sure.

Vince: Ah gee thanks Ted. And can I use the name CNN to help out a young kid named Randy Orton?

Ted: Sure, whatever.

Vince: Victory is mine!

Ted: Sorry, what did you say Vance?

Vince: It's Vince, ted. Vince Mcmahon.

Ted: Sure it is, hey I gotta go, check ya later.

So the moral of the story is: How long did it take Vince to create a story of his own by calling into TV stations and Newspapers to try and get it out in the open?

November is a very important month for ratings, some tv shows will do shocking stories just to get a cheap pop.......

Good Morning America did a sick story about nursing children beyond toddlers age, as in 8 year old kid still getting milk from the source.

Man if these CNN people know their stuff at all they will ask RVD about being a pothead. Seriously, this could be a bad idea having him on the show.

"Mr. Van Dam, is it true that you are/were a marijuana addict and even used it as a wrestling gimmick."

"Yeah dude, let's go smoke a bowl."

"Sorry, but we're on the air here and that is illegal..."

"Whatever."

Why is Trish on the show? Someone going to ask her why Victoria has it in for her? Geez.

That is funny though, a CNN reporter asking RVD what he thinks of necrophilia angles and such. I might actually watch this.

I was sorta joking, I don't think RVD will say anything all that dumb. I recall in 1999 he and Dreamer were on Fox News promoting the ECW video game, both of them came off really well.

Hehehe...you know what would be REALLY funny for this report...

It may kill all their pushes, but I would laugh anyway if they said this...

Q: What do you think is the biggest problem for Raw right now?

A: (anyone) Triple-H.

I hope they catch Jericho when he's in a bad mood. He'll speak his mind.

Probably why they haven't had Jericho on "Byte this" in a long time.

Assuming that wasn't a joke, Vince didn't really "bail out" Turner by buying the company. Ted was upset when they sold it. And I'm pretty sure Ted's not even affiliated with AOL-Time Warner anymore...they bought him out of the equation.

Good Morning America did a sick story about nursing children beyond toddlers age, as in 8 year old kid still getting milk from the source.

That's not sick, that's funny. Man, what kid would agree to be on camera for that? And how do they find those people? Put out an open call for wackos?

Really? Why would Fox News give a crap about an ECW game? Boggles the mind.

Vince has now went to using CNN, a national news station, as a way to promote the WWE. I remember when they had WWE superstars on TSN's Off The Record, leading up to Wrestlemania 17 and 18. In my opinion, it's good publicity for the WWE, considering nobody says anything stupid.

I believe it is because the ECW Game was the first wrestling game to get an M rating.

I would say the first video game...but I believe that Mortal Kombat beat out ECW's game for that.

Could be wrong about that though.

What "new direction"?

Since when can running one stupid necrophilia angle be called a "new direction"?

And if that was a new direction, it's already dead. That CNN is really on the ball.

Assuming that wasn't a joke,

It was and it wasn't. The point was no body cared about the wwf's "edgy" angles and Vince has to create the controversy himself - sort of like wag the dog, but without the war and james belushi. The joke was Ted not knowing -or caring- who vince was.

Vince didn't really "bail out" Turner by buying the company.

Do you think Vince sees it that way? Vince, the guy who for years said he was competing with Ted Turner - whereas in reality he was competing with Eric Bischoff?

Ted was upset when they sold it. And I'm pretty sure Ted's not even affiliated with AOL-Time Warner anymore...they bought him out of the equation.

R.E. Turner is Vice Chairman of AOL Time Warner Inc. and a member of its board of directors. In his current role, Turner works closely with AOL Time Warner senior management across all of the company's operations. He is also a philanthropist, environmentalist, bison rancher and an avid outdoorsman. - aol tw website

I think RVD and Tommy were also on Fox News to pimp ECW on TNN which was just starting up at that same time period. Heh, they even wanted to come back and bring a ring with them and fight each other and the host.

So, what happened?

Apparently, CNN never mentioned covering WWE's direction and instead talked about other current events happening in the world only. Such bullshit, Newsnight previewing about covering WWE's direction and then they don't even AIR it?
