Okay, i agree i may have left your favourite out, but DONT fucking hit me with a post that says "(enter obsessed-over frontman name) isn't here? WHAT THE FUCK!?". Simply state who is your fave and why, not hard Illusion-ites.

As IF you have to ask who i voted for...

Illusion - Who changed his last name because of GNR, its true

Oderus Urungus-GWAR.

Since it didn't say greatest singer ever. Just frontman, and he's probably my favorite.

Out of the list, I'd probably say Plant, just because no one else stands out as a really good frontman to me other than Axl and Freddy Mercury. Ozzy as a frontman for Sabbath wasn't anything really special, I don't like Vedder, I'll skip over Hetfield for the sake of brevity, and mom's favorite shock rockers didn't really have the staying power if you really think about it.

Mick Jagger would definitely be a contender, as would Steven Tyler, but both of those bands went to shit.

I still dig Roth's stuff with Van Halen, and you've gotta love Dave Brockie in GWAR.

Yes, im slapping myself for forgetting Jagger & Tyler, i love those guys.

Agreed, Frontman doesnt necessarily mean singing talent, more of a 'showman' quality is needed, like Ozzy. He didn't have a fantastic voice, but he work a crowd into a frenzy in an instant.

If you're looking for a Great Singer and a Great Showman, then there is none Better then Steven Tyler. Steven Tyler @ 50 is better then most those guys in their 20's. btw, Aerosmith has Not gone to shit.

Johnny Rotten.

Without Rotten, the Sex Pistols were an average rock and roll band that dressed like freaks.

With Johnny's snarl, they became menacing.

God, I hope you were joking.

Tom Kiefer tried to be Steven Tyler in the 80's.

...btw, Aerosmith has Not gone to shit.

Come on, you can't seriously compare their 70's work with stuff like "I don't want to miss a thing" and "Jaded." They were so much better on heroin.

They were definitely better back in their "snorting days." Toys In The Attic and Rocks are incredible albums, but you can start to see the drugs take their toll on Draw The Line. I still like Aerosmith... hell, they're too talented to release bad music, even if it has gotten more commercial over the years. Then again, so has the whole business. Their more recent songs aren't as good as the classics, but they're still better than a lot of the shit out there today, and they still ROCK live.

Btw, I voted for Mercury. Find me a rock singer with a better voice AND more flair.

Why has no one said Jim Morrison yet? Why didn't I fucking say it? We all suck.

Talk about stage presence. There's your better voice, Tom. Not so much on the whole flair bit, but you know, Morrison wasn't one to sport a half black/half white leotard combined with ghey moustache.

Aw, I love morrison's vocals. No one can sound like him without being a blatant ripoff. Not to mention they fit the music perfectly.
