Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Good rankings of the top guys, nice positioning of RVD, Storm and HHH are too high, and Regal is too low (should be a ahead of Booker and Jericho at least). All in all a good job as usual.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 363) Sho Funaki 364) Rick Michaels 369) Ric Flair 371) Rico 374) Triple H ^^^ This made my day. Rock on Funaki. Rock on. Someday you will get that feud with Lil Guido and you will show them all! Edge is too high - he should at least be breakin the top 50 cause his matches w/ Angle and his tag matches along side Rey were damn good and better than anything - oh I dunno, Jamie Knoble put out this year.
Guest Brian Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Edge was the weak link in all those tag matches and his Angle series wasn't that great aside from the first match; the subsequent failed to actualy build off the others. Knoble had the awesome ten minute section in the three-way with Mysterio where he tore it up, and some HWA stuff I think.
Guest godthedog Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 okay, it's time to take flair off the list. he had a nice run, but after that clusterfuck raw tag match where he was 4 times as slow as everybody else and fucked up almost everything he gave or took, he should be banned for life.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Why the heck is Lawler on the list..if we're saying Flair is washed up then what is Lawler?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Edge has been in 2 MOTYC - vs Angle @ backlash with Rey vs. Benoit/Angle @ NM. Offense aside, he is a very good bumper, gets the fans into it, plays his role well, and keeps pace with two of the best in the world. I don't see that as being a 'weak link'.
Guest Banky Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 There is justice in this world. Eddie owns you all, and there is nothing ANYONE can do about it. Long live King Eddy. Yeaaa, and I thought there was an Eddie backlash? Nope, he still rules EVERYTHING
Guest bob_barron Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Regal was below Spike Dudley? Riiiiiiight
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 What's truly amazing is that Eddy was able to overcome a three month feud with the man ranked #488 and still have enough left over to be #1.
Guest Banky Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Eddie is THA man...no doubt. Face facts, he owns joooo all.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 91) Chris Jericho I think Jericho should have gotten HUGE bonus points by being the one to carry Hogan the furthest in a match. Something Kurt Angle couldn't do - that should be big points.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Speaking of Hogan. C'mon, where's the love here? His match vs. Rock, his two vs. Jericho, and his match vs. Brock were all pretty good.
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 So... Did Lawler become extravagantly-fannatically-fantastically good in the five months that I've stopped watching wrestling? Or was I wrong in thinking the DVDVR crew supposedly had high standards?
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Knoble above Edge my fuckin ass! I'm 100% aware of anti-Edge sentiments running rampant on this board (which I don't really get) but I can't see how anybody of sound mind could pick Knoble above Edge. Edge - Good movelist, good pacing, selling needs work, hugely over - Went from feuding with Regal in ** matches to producing MOTY quality stuff with Angle and Co. - Will more likely then not be headlining PPV's soon Knoble - Has perhaps been on TV a combined total of 30 minutes his whole WWE career - Zero MOTYC's - Has participated in 3 PPV's - Relies on Nidia's T and A for heat - Great wrestler, though will never be anywhere near Edge's level ( I'm not talking strictly in-ring skills here too) I'm not even gonna start on the fact that Goldust got higher then Edge.....
Guest art_vandelay Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Forgot: 99) Hurricane 103) Tajiri May have been others, but I only looked for these two.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Someone want to help a buddy out and tell me what this is supposed to be in the first place?
Guest hiza jujigatame Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Why's American Dragon on the list? I know he used to have a developmental contract, but not anymore, right?
Guest razazteca Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Ring of Honor MOTY vs Fallen Angel vs Low-Ki go Download it now
Guest godthedog Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Ring of Honor MOTY vs Fallen Angel vs Low-Ki go Download it now ring of honor has a guy named match of the year who faced daniels and low-ki? he must be good to live up to that name.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 the fact that eddy is #1 brings a tear of joy to my eye. now, if only american dragon were #2 i would have no reason to bitch. if he changed his name MOTY, i wouldn't complain!
Guest areacode212 Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Someone want to help a buddy out and tell me what this is supposed to be in the first place? A couple of times a year, Death Valley Driver compiles a list of who they think the 500 best wrestlers are. It makes for some pretty entertaining discussion material for a few days, as people on wrestling boards all over the internet complain about the placement of their favorites (and non-favorites). Also, Lance Storm had much to say about it here.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 the fact that eddy is #1 brings a tear of joy to my eye. now, if only american dragon were #2 i would have no reason to bitch. if he changed his name MOTY, i wouldn't complain! Didn't MOTY originally play bass for Hawkwind and go on to form Motorhead? DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Forgot: 99) Hurricane 103) Tajiri May have been others, but I only looked for these two. I wanted Matt Hardy over Hurricane but was voted down. That was my only bone of contention with how the WWE shook out. DEAN.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Seeing RVD and Stevie Richards below Ron Simmons was a little disturbing, but overall this is a good list. Oh yeah, AmDragon is in OVW? PUT HIS ASS ON TV!!!
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 I'm not a huge RVD fan, but how can you rate Chuck Palumbo or Ron Simmons above him at all?
Guest humongous2002 Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Or Cena above RVD. This ranking has as much validity as the PWI 500, RVD should be up there on the top 50s.
