They killed Ralphie! In the middle of the season!

I mean, I knew Ralphie's time would come but in no way did I see it happening like it did. For once I have my doubts about Tony as a character. This might be simply due to the fact that I'm a big Joey Pants fan.

Anyway, on a more positive note, this was an amazing episode in that it was never what I expected at any given point. We now have to wonder who's gonna get it in the season finale?

I liked how they had the bit of a swerve from what the commercial looked like. I figured when Tony was looking under the tarp in the commercial it was an important character dying but then for it to be the horse only to kill Ralphie later in the same show was a nice changeup.

They killed Pie-O-My!

Fucking Bastards.

Finally something important happening during this BORING Season.

Only thing left is to see Furio and Carmela hook up.

And Adrianna tell Christopher about her conversations with the F.B.I.

I'm waiting to see how this gets addressed in a session with Melfi. I believe that there is something fairly new that is wrong with Tony. He has acted out of character recently.

The reason Tony is so good at what he does, is that usually he can suppress his emotions and let his reason take over. Whipping the assemblyman with his belt and attacking and eventually killing Ralph, were both STUPID things to do. In both of those episodes, he indicates that is how he feels to some degree. He tells the assemblyman that he's ok with him banging Irena, and LATER decides its not and takes it out on someone that is also very important to his operations. This week he attacks Ralph over the HORSE? This is after he explicitly told Paulie that they're running a business and Ralph wasn't to be touched. It doesn't matter how much he "loved" that horse. The reasons, why it was stupid, are numerous. Such as - Ralph is a made man, a captain, and Tony's number one earner. I'm really curious to see if these recent anger issues are discussed.

I also wouldn't call this season boring per se. Each episode on its own has been very good. But there hasn't been much in the development of an overall, season-long storyline. It seems that this is the rare case of the sum being LESS than the whole of all its parts.

I'm pretty sure things will get even more interesting when we find out Paulie was behind the stable fire down the road.......fuckin Ralphie had no part of it, thats why what happened tonight was so shocking.

Where do you get that from? Do you think it was revenge for Ralph's call to his mom?

Exactly, he knew (or suspected) Ralphie had something to do with the phone call from the scene in the Bing. Although Christopher said he was accounted for at the time of Ralphies death, he never said he was accounted for at the time of the fire.

The twist I see coming is that Johnny Sac will be blamed for Ralphies dissapearence, and all hell will break loose. There was some small foreshadowing in next weeks preview.

In any case, tonights episode was one of the best, period.

How about that shot of Ralphie's bald decapitated head, I bet Joey Pants new the gig was up when they told him

"Now Joey we have to take a plaster mold of your head and face..."

"Why do you have to do...oh I get it *stupiddavidchase*"

Well, Joey IS bald anyway, so, maybe they held off on telling him for a while :)

And Paulie killed the horse.

I, too, disagree with those who've called this season boring. It's a lot more leisurely paced (hey, that's a fancy way of saying boring!), but I'm diggin' the vibe they've got going. It kinda echoes Tony's slowly boiling rage.

That said, as much as I thought this week's episode was great, I thought the shots of the decapitated body parts were more hokey than gruesome, but whatever.

Yes, Paulie killed the horse, Tony is fucked because Paulie, John and even his right hand man are all going to be against him...

and the only person left on his side is a drug addict who doesn't realize that the feds are on him.

This can only end poorly.

My new theory:

Tony killing Ralphie was indeed a dream.

Why?

He wakes up at the Bing and cannot find Christopher; he in turn was never actually WITH Christopher to begin with.

Eh, its a longshot, but you never know...

No, I've always felt that when the smoke clears, the one man left with Tony would be Silvio. Just a hunch.
