I, for one, was shocked that Bob thought so highly of Regal. I mean, it's not like he thinks that Regal is some sort of GOD..... wait...

Anyway, Regal's not offensive or anything, but his mat work is boring and his mic work can be kind of streaky, as far as I'm concerned.

Regal is a great promo guy, but as a wrestler he hasn't impress me at all, i personally thinks he sucks, and it's not his style that sucks but the fact that he is too lazy to study tapes of other wrestlers with different styles so he could finally put out a good match.

Whenever you need someone to deliever a good tounge lashing call Regal.

I agree that his matches probably need to be longer but I know its just me but I always get into his matches regardless of the length.

Even when I got into his matches with Edge, no one else did, so they weren't "good."

I'm so glad you value your opinion that much. I enjoyed the Regal-Edge series a lot but since no one else did I'm just going to along with everyone and bash them.

Not what I meant at all. I saw the Edge matches as a reason to like Regal, but no one on this board who liked him enjoyed those matches, so they couldn't have been a reason for them to like him. OK?

Well a lot of people on this board don't like Regal's wrestling as you can tell.

I enjoyed the Edge series as I thought they were well-booked and I didn't see too much of a styles clash.

The Regal-Edge feud was deathly dull, but their match at Royal Rumble was quite nifty. It was stiff, well-built and had some cool spots like the DDT on the apron and the AJPW-esque Regal drops Edge on his head and Edge pops up and hits a clothesline before the delayed sell spot. Probably the best Regal's had all year.

If you get used to Regal's work it's not hard to like it. His tag stuff has all been good and fun, I like his brawling so a lot of his matches were enjoyable.

Regal is good. He's no Chris Benoit or Eddy Guerrero, but he knows how to wrestle. He's a lot better than those gymnists that wouldn't know a wrestling hold if it bit them in the ass, like RVD & Jeff Hardy.

"I wasn't at all involved in the 500s in 2000, but the Pillman Memorial match between Benoit and Regal was in May 2000, his series with Reckless Youth in Memphis Championship Wrestling between March and July of 2000, was getting good matches out of Shooter Schultz in August 2000 and generally was having a great run on top in Memphis. Not only was he having strong matches but you could visibly watch the improvement of the WWF developmental wrestlers after they wrestled serieses with Regal."
