bob, never been to a Boston school, have you? Funding for most Massachusetts public schools have gone down the shitter for the past few years, despite the ever-increasing MCAS averages.

 

That said, last night was an excellent piece of comedy gold. Guber and Lipschitz own all, and Marla getting floored by Danny had me on the floor holding my ribs.

Yeah, if Boston Public was WWE, then:

 

Joey MacIntyre = Matt Hardy (former member of a team that appealed to homosexuals and the ladies but have reinvented their character)

 

Guber = Bischoff (scummy heel that's largely ineffective)

 

Harper = VKM (the boss but gets grating after awhile)

 

Jeri Ryan = Stacy (:whistles:)

 

Senate = Stone Cold (seems unstable, actions say "Fuck you", he's prolly gone)

 

Danny Hanson = Eddie Guerrero (seems like a hell but is cool)

 

Marla = Rikishi

Lipschultz = Warrior

 

Marilyn Sudor = Jacquelyn (they're both jobbers now)

 

Boston Public = WWE (both were great 2 years ago but resort to stupid storylines now)

I also love how Lipshitz just yelled at objection for no reason and gave the speech at the end.

 

Harper is a combination of Vince/Linda.

 

Vince in that he gets pissed off a lot, seems to always have a headache, someone is always fucking with him and he yells.

 

Linda in that he is ineffective and rarely does anything

I liked The Blob, but mostly because there is a fat kid in town that me and my friends call that (well, technically, we call him 'The Blue Blob', but that's not important).

 

Of course, we didn't have the whole school chanting 'Blob' at his wrestling match (not like the piece of shit would get off his ass to do anything like that, anyway), but still.

Lots of cliched scenes tonight (innocent young teacher shows her clever, streetwise side, and virtuoso violinist follows his dreams), but still, an entertaining episode, and a nice exit for Senate. The new Liv Tyler lookalike was cute, but what's the deal with all these young teachers? Please let Joey McIntyre get his ass kicked soon.

 

I never in a million years would have guessed that the guy who played Harry Senate was the same guy who played that guy Clint in Dazed and Confused.

I liked tonights episode, it wasn't too over the top....well, except for the whole penis tract infection thing.

 

Speaking from experience, you REALLY don't want to have anything stuck up your....nevermind.

Jeri Ryan is the ONLY reason to watch that show and the black female teacher was hot too.

 

I think next year I should tape my 5th year of school and send it to FOX cause more than likely I'm gonna start a war with the next year seniors cause they are a bunch of stuck up fucks and they know I hate them, they're just waiting for me to snap and to quote Russo IT'S RATING BAYYBEEE.

I had 5 years of high school, and so did any other Ontario high school student who wanted to go to University (unless they fast-tracked and finished it sooner). This is the last year they're having it, though.

I live in a redneck area of Pennsyltucky and I've never heard the n-word said as many times in one hour as I did last night.

 

Still a good show. Fake melodrama rocks.

I was going to watch it when they were first previewing it a couple of years ago. The commercials made it look like a comedy show, and I looked forward to it. I ended up missing the first couple of episodes, but all the hardcore TV drama marks that I know (types who creamed themselves over Ally McBeal being next, another show that was supposed to be a comedy) were loving it. Now it's marketed as a dramatic tour de force every week, and the school itself looks like one that I would rule within a week or two.

 

I want to watch it every week, I really do, but then the commercials have something absurd happening, and I don't want to any more. The season premiere looked like it could have been good. I'll try to catch the rerun.

 

And for the record, the best High School show ever was indeed Freaks and Geeks. Goddamn that was a great show.
