Toys 'R' Us is selling Episode II in the U.S. for $9.99. Get it while you can.

It sounds like Toys R Us is only selling Fullscreen.

Talking about the price, I picked my copy of SW EP2 at Wal Mart for 9.98 in widescreen format. They only allowed one per customer.

Well that's why I'm asking for the 5 disc collector set of LOTR for Christmas.  I already have the two disc set, so that'll give my mother a 10 dollar rebate for it, which if she gets it this week makes it only 29.99.

What store has the Collectors Set for $39.99?

5 disc?

Well, this one at Best Buy is 4 disc, and it's $24.99.

There's two different versions. Both are the same Extended Edition DVD but one has extra stuff and another disc included.

As far as good/bad CGI goes, Blade Runner was made with miniatures, models, blue screen and wires, yet it still looks better than all this CGI crap.

That's because the current technology is ruining the creative aspect that goes into SFX now a days. FX teams have gotten lazy and totally dependent on the technology. CGI should be used to ENHANCE traditional effects such as models, not be used IN PLACE OF them. I don't understand how anybody can think the effects in Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2 are any good. They jump out at me as being phoney. Most of the images still look to flat. The ships look too shiney and smooth. I never get the feeling that I'm actually watching ships in space like I did with the original trilogy.

The remake of The Fly with Jeff Goldblum, if done today, would definitely be done with all most all CGI. And that would be a shame, because all the make-up and model work, that went into making the only movie that I can't eat anything while watching till this very day, would have never been used. The movie would have looked totally fake. Man, that movie is underrated in the history of FX and in general.

BUT...when he had the real suit, it looked fine to me. The way they made the suit, worked great with the CGI. So did the Goblin's. His suit was friggin retarded, but since it looked stupid normal, it didn't matter that he looked stupid with CGI. It looked stupid regardless.

I love it when juvenile humor makes me laugh this god damned hard.

After listening to the FX audio commentary for Spiderman I'm shocked and I don't know if I can really say it sucks anymore. There was so much stuff in that movie that I never thought was CGI that IS CGI that it blew me away. There's about 3 times the amount of CGI in there that I never even noticed than the amount bad CGI that I hated.
