I picked the Packers to go 13-3 with their 3 losses being @NO, @MIN and @TB. So far I'm dead on.

Unfortunately, I decided to go with Green Bay for some reason in my weekly picks, instead of going with what I predicted at the beginning of the year.

At least I picked Atlanta as my Lock of the Week so I gain a point there. Was I the only one who used it on the Falcons?

I had 5 of the 9 games early.

Next weeks picks aside from the Rams over the Redskins are going to be out of a hat.

I don't care about Metrodome curses or whatever, if the Packers lose to the Vikings, they are NOT the best team in the NFL.

The best team in the NFL does not lose to a 2-7 team.

They still might be. We have to see what happens with the rest of the games. I think most of us recognized that this would be one of Green Bay's harder games this year. San Fran is a cakewalk compared to the Metrodome for the Pack. This won't be that damaging for the Pack in the Power Rankings, although it should drop them out of first for now. A loss like Denver's on Monday is far worse.

Who would you consider to be the best team in the NFL? Other than San Francisco (who are also losing), I can't think of a team that is as good as the Packers right now (who are likely next week too). December 15, Green Bay @ San Francisco will determine who gets the #1 Seed in the NFC. No team in the AFC right now should even be considered for top team overall with Denver's horrific loss to the Raiders & the loss of Maddox for the Steelers. Realistically, the Titans could be the best team in the AFC right now, the conference is so sad.

I wouldn't be so sure about that one. The Rams have been comfortable against struggling teams in St. Louis & the South, but get them outdoors in Washington and they could fold quickly. The Rams are still overrated, they barely beat the struggling Chargers at home, and Martz still has a tendency to go the pass too often. New Orleans at home over Cleveland, and New England at home over Minnesota are far safer picks.

McNabb's out for 6-8 weeks and so the Eagles are done. New York has an excellent chance of taking the East now.

Oops, I forgot what games you could do the lock thingie for.

Kotzen is warning me because I told him the Packers lost.

EDIT: At least I took the Saints losing like a man.

At 4-6, the Redskins are done. The only way they have a chance at anything is if they win out their next 6 games and Philadelphia tanks it without McNabb and then the Giants would have to play terrible (which is possible..). The Skins play the Rams next week, the Eagles and Giants again, as well as Dallas twice and Houston. The Redskins need to start Ramsey next week to give them any shot at winning vs the Rams because they are going to get steamrolled by them if they play "let Shane Matthews, who sucks, throw the ball 35 times in the rain"

Now, Im watching the Ravens, and they have a shot to get back in the AFC North, with Pittsburgh losing and going to 5-4-1 and the Browns winning to 5-5. Pittsburgh is a beatable team without Maddox and the Ravens already spanked the Browns once this year.

Ravens are losing to the Dolphins 17-7 at the half..

He'll be fortunate if he can walk again. His career is probably over.

It is too bad, considering how long it took him to actually be successful.

The Ravens squander an oppurtity to get some ground on Pittsburgh...

Unless theres some sort of divine miracle, the Ravens aren't winning this game.

Another QB bites the dust - Brian Griese OUT with a knee injury..

The Jets are 10 minutes away from being a .500 team. Too bad the Dolphins are winning big or the Jets could have been tied for first with a Pats loss tonight.

Since I didn't see what happened, can anyone describe for me how Maddux got hurt?

I read on the Ticker that he was temporarily unconscious...scary stuff.

He was falling and someone diving for the tackle hit him in the back of the neck I guess.

They said he was down for 15 minutes and then had to be strechered out after they stabalized his neck.

I read he had feeling in his extremities so that's good.

Man, I could have done better this week picking out of a hat. 6 out of 13. Depending on the Chargers/49ers game..Im slightly confident of my other two picks (Oakland and St. Louis) but 9 out of 16 is flat out bad.

Right now, I'm 9/16.

I'm cheering for Brandy, and I hope that Urlancher (sp?) kills Marshall Faulk (if he's playing) or Bulger.

EDIT: This was my first time playing. Whoo.

I didn't know where to put this, so I'll ask it here.

Do Raiders fans actually KNOW they look like that, or are they under some sort of "influence"?

See? Another reason not to legalize pot.
