Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I was wondering why I couldn't watch my favouritest cartoon movie ever in South Park over and over again, because everytime I d/l it it says it's like 440 minutes long(as opposed to about 100 when I d/l it), and is only audio. Where can I get the update of Divx? I haven't for such a long time...

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 15, 2002 Edward finally got a high speed internet connection, and he still can't download stuff. *laughs* If I knew how to use mIRC to download movies, I would download them from there. I hate downloading a fake on Kazaa.

I hate downloading a fake on Kazaa. What is mIRC? I have never heard of it. But I went from a dial up connection to ethernet and my speed is outrageuos! I can get full movies in less then an hour. Sound like your ISP might suck evenflow. You might want to check into that! EDIT: I just found out what mIRC is and it costs money. I'll just stick to watching my FREE movies! Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted November 15, 2002 EDIT: I just found out what mIRC is and it costs money. I'll just stick to watching my FREE movies! mIRC doesn't cost money. It's like any other shareware program, you never have to pay for it. Anyway, I made a mistake in my post last night... (note to self: sleeping pills + Nyquil = BAD IDEA!) mIRC is a client that connects to the IRC network. The network, like any other network, is free, and there are many other IRC clients, just mIRC is one of the easiuest to use, especially for beginners. IRC's originally a chat network, so there's also a million chat channels too. You just have to make sure to connect to the "right" network - Efnet is where all the MP3 groups are and THEY source it, and DALnet has HELLA traders and leechers, and the rest... I have no idea. Anyway yea, KaZaA still suckjs and my University's Ethernet kinda sucks too. Earlier in the quarter, they gave me fast speeds, especially on IRC, and now I can't even get a decent IRC speed... I hope it's the bots, otherwise Resnet is dicking me over and I can't figure out why. Actually I can figure out why, I read an article about a month ago in FishRap that says Resnet reconfigured the network so peer 2 peer and similar methods of receiving would be SLOWER specifically to curb college piracy. That and they also put a 1gig limit on transfers a day to prevent us from putting up FTP servers... and to think, this is from one of the most LIBERAL campuses in California! Geez...
