Guest BifEverchad Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Ok, Ok...We ALL use them. So whats your favorite program to talk to people online?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 AIM is superior in so many ways. That said, not a lot of non-North Americans have it, rather they have MSN, which I don't mind using either. AIM just rules so much. I had ICQ briefly last year, and I got nothing out of it, not to mention the fact that it somehow imbedded itself on my computer after I uninstalled it. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest HBK16 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Aim all the way. No better way to chat online.
Guest SP-1 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 AIM. From back in the day, too. MSN is ok, but AIM is fairly superior to most everything else. Except Trillian. But Trillian just facilitates using multiple programs and isn't a network unto itself so it doesn't count. Spidey-Po'
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Trillian. ICG is of teh ass, MSN is ghey, and AIM has fucking virus coming out of it's proverbial ass. Trillian may just be a program that uses all the chat programs but it's far superior to them all.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Everyone I know uses MSN, and I find no problems in it, so its MSN for me.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Everyone I know uses AIM and I like it.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 You know me and I don't use AIM. I use Trillian like EVRYONE should.
Guest treble charged Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 ICQ has more features, but AIM is easier to use, so it's a toss up. I've never used MSN, so I can't comment on that. I just noticed something, too. Pretty much everyone on my ICQ list (give or take a few), I know in person, while there is not a single person on my AIM list that I have ever met face to face.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I've met almost everyone on my MSN list, everyone on my ICQ list, and mo one on my AIM list.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Then get your ass down to Texasn and you can meet someone from AIM
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 ewww go to America? But then I can't drink!
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 You could at the bars I go to
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 You could at the bars I go to I like that
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 See I know where to go
Guest Zack Malibu Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 CWM my cousin owns a club, and friends of mine work the door at a bar...come drink with me!
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 I use MSN, only because ICQ sucks and I've heard so many stories about viruses from AIM. What's so special about AIM anyway? It has viruses coming out the ass. Also, I've heard of Trillian, but never used it. Would it fix my AIM problem of viruses and such? Where could I get it?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 CWM my cousin owns a club, and friends of mine work the door at a bar...come drink with me! *joins Zack at Said bar*
Guest Flyboy Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Also, I've heard of Trillian, but never used it. Would it fix my AIM problem of viruses and such? Where could I get it? I've never gotten a virus off of AIM normally or on Trillian, so I don't know where that comes from. http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/trillian/index.html
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Yes Trillian has avoiding the AIM virus problem. AIM is popular because many people have it, and because it's a good chat program
Guest T®ITEC Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Ah, screw this, I'm using Trillian.
Guest T®ITEC Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 DJ Jeff added me to his MSN list!!!
Guest BaldFish Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 AIM, absolutely. BTW, here's a little present for you. Exit AIM, go into your AIM directory, and with notepad, edit aim.odl. Scroll down to the on_group(5) area, and add a semicolon before "load_ocm advert". This will comment it out of your code. Poof. No more ads on the top of your AIM window.
Guest eiker_ir Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 i use MSN because everyone i know uses it, simple
Guest T®ITEC Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 My friends are on Yahoo, the people I talk to from TSM are on AIM, and Bif Everchad whines about MSN... Sigh.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I think DJ Jeff added everyone on his list....I was added too
