AIM is superior in so many ways. That said, not a lot of non-North Americans have it, rather they have MSN, which I don't mind using either. AIM just rules so much.

I had ICQ briefly last year, and I got nothing out of it, not to mention the fact that it somehow imbedded itself on my computer after I uninstalled it.

AIM. From back in the day, too. MSN is ok, but AIM is fairly superior to most everything else.

Except Trillian. But Trillian just facilitates using multiple programs and isn't a network unto itself so it doesn't count.

Trillian.

ICG is of teh ass, MSN is ghey, and AIM has fucking virus coming out of it's proverbial ass.

Trillian may just be a program that uses all the chat programs but it's far superior to them all.

Everyone I know uses MSN, and I find no problems in it, so its MSN for me.

You know me and I don't use AIM.

I use Trillian like EVRYONE should.

ICQ has more features, but AIM is easier to use, so it's a toss up. I've never used MSN, so I can't comment on that.

I just noticed something, too. Pretty much everyone on my ICQ list (give or take a few), I know in person, while there is not a single person on my AIM list that I have ever met face to face.

I use MSN, only because ICQ sucks and I've heard so many stories about viruses from AIM. What's so special about AIM anyway? It has viruses coming out the ass. Also, I've heard of Trillian, but never used it. Would it fix my AIM problem of viruses and such? Where could I get it?

Yes Trillian has avoiding the AIM virus problem.

AIM is popular because many people have it, and because it's a good chat program

AIM, absolutely. BTW, here's a little present for you.

Exit AIM, go into your AIM directory, and with notepad, edit aim.odl. Scroll down to the on_group(5) area, and add a semicolon before "load_ocm advert". This will comment it out of your code.

Poof. No more ads on the top of your AIM window.

My friends are on Yahoo, the people I talk to from TSM are on AIM, and Bif Everchad whines about MSN... Sigh.
