...that reminds me...as bad as people say Hogan's legdrop was as a finisher...you have to remember that the legdrop wasn't alone all the time.

Usually the three punches and a big boot have it set up.  I could believable believe that all 3 parts (the 3 punches, the big boot, and the legdrop) in that order could knock out someone.

But is the third step even neccesary in a fight?

Are you gonna big boot someone in a fight? If you try to do wrestling moves when fighting, you're a goddamn fool anyway.

I am not saying that I get in fights and try to put someone in a Cross face of a Razor's Edge...Things like a Stiff kick to the chin will work in a fight...

Why are you fighting anyway? Do you watch wrestling thinking "Man, I could take out my neighbor with that one.."

As for Total Elmination.. yeah, it was cool.. but it ain't no 3D.

No, I don't watch wrestling just to find new moves to use in a fight...all I was saying was WHAT moves are realistic to use in a fight...and a "Big Boot" would work unlike a 3D.

Hogan's Big Boot is the weakest kick in all of wrestling, if you want to emulate some wrestler's kick try the TESTicle Big Boot.

all double team submissions own

and what im saying is who cares what works in a real fight? if i wanted to see that i would watch fucking boxing. in a real fight, some drunk is just gonna stab you in the neck with a broken beer bottle anyway.. not f-5 you.

BAD:

Any kick

Actually, I have to slightly disagree with that.

Any kick by Tajiri looks like it easily could K-O someone.

As does the classic "Sweet Chin Music"

Tajiri's is probably about the best you are going to get, but the Sweet Chin Music sucks.

I think a lot of people just like it, because they like Michaels, but the move itself is horrible. Stevie Richards does a better superkick. Michaels never had a good finisher (Flying Fist Drop, Teardrop Suplex, Piledriver, Superkick).

Here's someone who should bring back a different finisher: Booker T.

The Scissors Kick isn't that great of a finisher, and the WWE wouldn't let him use the Book End unless the Rock were to depart permanently from WWE.

That said, it's either bring back the Hangover, or make something new (name it the T Spot or something, dunno)

It's too bad no WWE wrestler does the Roll the Dice like one of my friends do it. It's pretty much a spinning dragon suplex into a verticle inverted DDT. It looks mean as hell.

Booker needs a new move badly......how about a Spinoroonie Kip Up into a Leg drop? :hm:

I still think that the ringpost figure4 rocks...

the sharpshooter is a good finish when done well(ie non-pebble)

The diamonddust is cool...

The Stunner was the best finisher, EVER. It came out of nowhere, it was quick, and it got an amazing crowd reaction. Rock Bottom is up there too. And a moonsault is an instant pop for anyone who can do one.

One of the worst would have to be the Twist of Fate--which is ironic, because it's so similar to the Stunner. The lengthy setup kills it.

You have to remember that the move itself is only a small part of what we're talking about--there's also the crowd factor. A finisher is just a move with a lot of crowd recognition.

the Whipper Snapper is better than the Stunner, Steve stole the move from Mikey. :bubbles:

Speak for yourselves. Putting an asshole in a figure four after a pedigree is so much more worth the fight than punching his ass. :P

You're not going to win a lot of fights punching people in the ass, either.

Good finishers:

Raven and Jake Roberts' DDT: Simple, easy to do, instant KO

Stunner/Diamond Cutter/Whipper Snapper: See above, but a little less so on the easy to do.

Kawada Kick/Tajiri Kick of Death: Easy to do, but not like they do it, and it LOOKS (or sounds in Tajiri's case) painful

Tazmission: Legit judo move, also pretty easy to do if you can get behind someone.

Bad Finishers:

Evil Green Mist: it's too goofy

Tutti Frutti: It's a punch, and not even that good of a punch...

Tutti Frutti? was that Johnny B Bad's move?

The Diamond Cutter is my favorite version of the Ace Crusher move, DDP could do the move out of nowhere.

I've always sorta marked for the BIONIC ELBOW~!

As for anothe rkick-ass finisher...

Ki Krusher '99

In terms of reality, it COULD work in a real fight if you got the person fast enough with it (also, a front facelock is a major part of the move, so you could disorient them by winding them with a facelock, then drop them right on their fucking head).

It's also just a cool move in general.

Oh, and it'd be a crime to not mention the PSYCHO-DRIVER.

EDIT: Shit, forgot we're talking WWE...

A good WWE finisher? I like Hurricane's flipping neckbreaker quite a bit.

People who need new finishers...

Chuck Palumbo

Lance Storm

Justin Credible

Three Superkicks nah

Give Palumbo the old Torture Rack, Five Lance the top rope Spinning heel kick or back with the Half Crab

and Credible, give him back the Corkscrew Tombstone. but hell he's a Jobber now

John Cena, needs some lessons on timing before he gets a decent finisher

what does Cena use? I don't recall winnning with out a rollup...He looks like a Lariat type of guy.

You mean the rollup ISN'T his finisher?

I'll have to disagree with the guy that said Raven's DDT is the best. Eddie's Tornado DDT outclasses it greatly.

Tiger Driver 91' is always an awesome move...I wish someone in the WWF would bust it out.

The Stunner was one of my favorite moves and I like it better than Mikey's version. I like how it changed though. Originally it was slow. Austin would slowly grab the guy and then go down to his ass. From about 98 on he just kicked the guy and leaped into it.

Sorry, piledrivers are verboten in WWE.

For the women:

Jazz's STF. Once she slaps it on, match is over. Think of this: Molly's only submission loss ever was to Jazz.

Mollly Go Round: requires a little setup but it is still one of the most beautiful spashes in wrestling.

Best:

Stunner: Quick, deadly, and fucking awesome when the person takes it well.

Tombstone: While he doesn't pull it out much anymore, the Tombstone always used to be a matchender til the Big Red Retard showed up.

Pedigree: Hate Trips all you want, his finisher kicks ass when the recipient doesn't put a knee down.

Sharpshooter: Painful as hell and was insanely over a "That guy's a goner!" submission.

Crossface: While no big names outside of Rock have tapped to it before(unless you count both of UT and Austin's tapouts in three way matches), but it still looks great.

F5: Still don't know what it's supposed to do, but it's still a cool-looking visual.

Worst

Angle/Olympic Slam: No impact at all and generally looks like a sloppy Samoan Drop.

Anklelock: Damn, for such a good wrestler, Angle some shitty finishes. If he'd do the anklelock like Shamrock did, I'd have no problem.

Spear: I hate the move, plain and simple, no matter WHO does it. From no-talent hacks like Rhyno and Goldturd to decent guys like Edge, the move as a finisher is terrible.

Superkicks: They all suck, point blank.

Axe Kick: Love Booker, but damn... what a weak finish.

DDTs: It ain't the 80's anymore, so I ain't buying it as a legit finisher.

Chokeslam: When done well, it's okay, but seeing how Big Slow, Taker, and Kane have all gotten lazy as hell, it just looks terrible.

EDIT: To whoever said it, the 619 isn't Rey's finisher, the West Coast Pop(springboard rana) is. The 619 is just the set-up move.

HHH did once..... he accidentally hit it legit and near killed some poor jobber.

Yeah...and this was back when everyone wasn't sick of HHH.

Of course, back then he had a more entertaining gimmick...one I still think could easily be paired up with Christopher Nowinski as a tag team.

i seriously doubt that was trips's fault. to get the other guy up like that, perpendicular to the mat, with no help from him, you have to pull up HARD and do it purposely. i think the jobber just didn't know how to take it and jumped up like a dumbass.

Guest The Mighty Damaramu

Besides he didn't get the guy fully up. He was at more of an angle with his face going into the mat.
