Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2002 Ok so as of the time i write this the show hasn't even been posted yet, but so what! I would also like to make a plea that we continue to make comments on all the matches if we possibly can. People have been doing good at that lately, I just hoped it wouldn't start lacking. Actual comments will come from me for all the matches once the show is posted and i have had time to read it. I'll even coment on any losing matches that get posted as well. I know my thoughts probably don't mean squat, but i know i always love to read someone discussing my match whether they are the best in the fed or not. Thanks, Johnny Dangerous! Guest Powerplay Report post Posted November 15, 2002 Newsflash: Judge Mental sucks royally . Ugh. I hate myself for my match. It was so dumb; I shouldn't have stayed up so late the night before. Anyways.... Quick Comments: Ejiro wins. Whoo. No surprise here. Wildchild wins! Whoo! Nice match there, though a very good effort on IL's part (I read his match). Johnny Wins~! OMGODZ, he's a Main Eventer! Good job, though I want to see MVS's match. I win...... The line to kick me in the crotch starts here for all comers. Only restrictions: If you are named Johnny or Mike. That is all.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted November 15, 2002 YOU SCREWED UP MY ENTRANCE! AHHHHHHHH. When I send my match to a marker, I put the little img-/img thing around it, then I put the link to the image under it. The marker needs to tell the person putting the show up to put the link in img-/img. I probably just didnt tell anybody this.
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2002 Alrighty now, it's time for some dangerous comments! TAG TEAM MATCH Spike/Dace Night vs. Jack the Ripper/James Morin Not a bad way to open the show with at all. A pretty solid match, which ends with Spike and Dace duking it out! What is to come from this dispute? PROMO Pretty intresting. S.O.S. Save Our Soul, and D.O.D. Day of Defeat? makes sense, I'm intrigued. Wildchild vs Insane Luchadore Wow, sweet match WC. I think you get better and better with each new match you produce, keep it up. I like how you also added a tad more commentary to your matches as well. Very cool. Johnny Dangerous vs Mike Van Siclen Well fudge, here i thought i actually beat MVS out, only to discover it was a default. I hate dumping all that effort for default wins. Judge Mental vs Matt Myers Well, well another no show from Matt. What the hell is up with that? Judge wins and becomes a 2x World Champ!! “-And finally leading up to one of the premier matches of the night, Johnny Dangerous fighting Mike Van Siclen. Both men had an incredible bout, each putting up an incredible effort-” “-Which matches that of Bradshaw after a quad tear.” Ok Judge... We gonna have us a little talk. I hope you knew Matt was no showing because that match was awful short, Mr. Mental. Other than that i thought it was a pretty sweet little ride, that put the title back where it belonged. Until I come after ya that is. Well that's all from me!
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Thanks for the input guys. I'll need to work a tad at polarised tag matches. Spike is write about the opening joke. I just wanted to leave it upto the readers. It could have been a shed magazine if you wanted. I've got a much better idea of how to write Spike for the next card now. Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2002 What no comments on my match anyone? Hmph, Johnny is feelingz left out of the inner circle here. Well me and Judge are the only ones to comment anyways. I thought there were at least a few other nice writers here. Maybe not.
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted November 17, 2002 More comments! This show really had a lot of meat in it. Spike: That's what I thought it was, but then again, you can't ever be sure, can you? Just being picky Show Promo! Very well done promo here. King questions, "What the Hell are they screaming about?" Axis gasps as he figures it out, "SoS! He's back!! It's Supreme of Smack!! S.O.S.!!" "Who?" Well, either it's someone who did their homework or an oldie finally found the SmartMarks board. The letters 'S.O.S.' show up on the Smarktron once again. A black fog rolls in, and the distress signal disappears. As the fog rolls out, the letters 'DoD' have appeared in blood red. "D. O. D.? What could that possible stand for?" King asks. Axis answers, "Certainly not anything I'm aware of... I wonder if the Commissioner knows about this... " "I should hope he does." Well, gotta wonder what that stands for. Dungeon of Destruction? Deacon of Doom? Who the hell is this guy? WildChild vs. Insane Luchadore FADE IN A graphic appears on the screen, displaying the words “Flashback.” (Announcer) “And now for SJL Flashback, brought to you by 7-11. Oh Thank Heaven for 7-11!” WHOO! Sponsorship! That's more money for my imaginary paycheck!.... wait a sec.... The Flashback is a good way to reflect on the last match. Good job there. Wildchild and Insane Luchador engage in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Insane Luchador takes the early advantage with a go-behind waist-lock. Real quick, very picky thing. These are two sentences that could and probably should be combined, because it feels cut out with the "." there. Maybe a ".... and-elbow tie-up, with Insane Luchador taking the early advantage..." would have fit. Watch out for short sentences because they can make the match seem rigid. That's just me, though. Insane Luchador gets right back to his feet, and rushes at Wildchild, pushing him into the ropes, and whipping him towards the far side. Insane Luchador tries to backdrop Wildchild on the rebound, but Wildchild flips over, and lands on his feet. He runs to the opposite ropes, and is met by Insane Luchador, who tries to take him over with a hiptoss, but Wildchild floats through, and lands on Insane Luchador, with his feet planted firmly in his stomach, and with his hands clasped around his head. Wildchild leans backwards, and takes Insane Luchador over with a monkey flip. Both men nip up simultaneously and pivot to face each other, as the crowd explodes in thunderous applause. Wildchild breaks out into a wide grin, licks his lips, and sticks his tongue out at Insane Luchador as he waves his arms into the air to sustain the crowd reaction. “Nice little wrestling sequence by both men,” notes Axis, “with a few acrobatic counters by Wildchild.” Yes, Axis. Very nice sequence there, quite cool. A nice pin reversal sequence afterwards that was really cool. I haven't seen too many of those as of late. they slowly get to their feet, they continue to punch each other, but Insane Luchador, with his greater brawling experience, gets the better of the contest. Insane Luchador pushes Wildchild into the ropes and whips him towards the far side, but Wildchild manages to reverse, and whips Insane Luchador into the ropes instead, who runs into the referee just as he was turning around to turn his attention back to the action in the ring. SMACK! The loud, resonating echo of Insane Luchador’s head striking Eddy Long’s head can be heard by the fans directly at ringside, as Long falls out of the ring, and Insane Luchador staggers backwards into a school-boy pin by the Wildchild! Nice ref bump and the mandatory "Pin while the ref is out" moment. Great match, and we really don't have too many people here who couldn't take the world title from me right now. Maybe I should retire and come back when crappy people are in the JL. Johnny vs. MVS Johnny stumbles back from the unexpected blow and before he can even think about reacting, Van Siclen is all over him like white on rice, dropping fist into every opening he can find! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! Mike grabs Johnny by the arm after pounding him, whips him to the ropes, and levels him with a MONSTER clothesline as he returns! “My word,” says Axis, “I wasn’t expecting Johnny to win, but Van Siclen is completely decimating him in there!” “Would you expect any less from the man who by all rights SHOULD be the World Champion?” Johnny scrambles to his feet, holding tight to his neck as he stumbles forward and grabs onto the top rope, taking a moment to clear his head. Van Siclen isn’t about to let Johnny have any room to breathe and keeps the pressure on, surprising the Barracuda when he locks his arms around his waist, and jerks him off his feet! Johnny tries to grab onto the ropes but isn’t quite quick enough and ends up having the back of his neck slammed into the mat! Great imagery here. The descriptions really give you a feel for what's going on, and makes it much easier to follow. “Beautiful counter by Mike Van Siclen!” Says the Suicide King! “This man is starting to remind me of my younger wrestling years!” “You mean like when you got beaten by Jay Dawg in your second match?” “Shut up, Axis!” the Suicide King snaps! “I didn’t ask you for a trip down memory lane, besides I was feeling a little under the weather that night!” *Judge weeps.* Can't we just forgive the man for making one mistake?! Angered, Johnny dives for Van Siclen ready to tear into his flesh like a starving vulture, but the Amazing one is two steps ahead and leap frogs right over him! Johnny jumps back to his feet, and dives right back to the mat as Van Siclen swings his foot out… MVS leapfrogging Johnny? I could believe it more if it were after a whip, but it just seems awkward doing it for a dive. I think MVS sidestepping would have been better. “VAN SLAMINATOR! VAN SLAMINATOR! Mike Van Siclen has dealt the fatal blow to Johnny Dangerous!” “Damn right he has,” Adds the Suicide King, “as this just proves the point that Johnny Dangerous is not ready to compete with the big boys! Send him back to curtain jerking where he belongs!” Van Siclen drops onto Johnny with a cover, but the Referee is passed out in the corner like he had been on an all night drinking binge! “WAKE UP!” Mike shouts! “GET YOUR LAZY @$$ UP!” After what seems like forever and a day later, Anthony awakens to see Mike draped over Johnny with a cover, and begins to summon the strength to weakly crawls over to make the count. “Come on hurry up, you damned Breakfast Club reject!" Good sequence, with the mandatory BC joke made in there. The count afterwards is good, but I'm not quoting something that long. … WHEN JOHNNY LOCKS HIS ANKLES AROUND VAN SICLEN’S NECK, TWIST HIS BODY, AND FLINGS THE POOR MAN’S RVD TO THE MAT LIKE A RAG DOLL!! Bahahahahahahahahahahaha! Let me repeat that:Bahahahahahahahahahahaha! Other notes: Personally, I would have ended it with the Superkick. It's a legitimate finisher, and I while I use it more as a desperation or transition move (from my offense to their offense of a dodge), I dislike using your finisher right after it. Another great match, and honestly I think that Johnny has the best imagery in the JL right now. *Judge hides his belt from the half-dozen upper midcarders who could easily take it.* Oh, and my match? In one word: Suckage. Ugh. Read it if you like, but prepare to vomit at the ending (And the beginning. I was shooting for something but really didn't do it that well.) *Sigh* I hate crappy default victories.
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Bah, figures someone would take it like that. *Judge holds down Ejiro for making a comment like that.* And note, this WASN'T my best match. I was pretty out of it when I was doing it, so if I did, I'm prone to blackouts and don't remember a thing.

Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2002 BTW I got the DangerGirl TPB this weekend, so now I know what you think of when you think of Johnny Barracuda. Oh, are you sunk now~! Yup, you got it. I originally modeled Johnny Dangerous to be Johnny Barracuda. His suit, hair, deamoner(sp?) and everything. His boss Sydney Kassle is a cross between Natilia and Sydney. I love me some Danger Girl! The suit Johnny wears to the ring is supose to be like the one Johnny has on in the party scene at the beginning of the second chapter. You know right before the infamous bubble bath sequence Abbey Chase has before knocking out the Peach with a bottle of champaign. So really he doesn't wear a Tux. The others here who only know Bond, wrote him in the Tux, not me.
