Brock vs. Big Show II at Royal Rumble 2003

According to 411 wrestling.com, Show will win the title this Sunday and face Brock in a rematch of epic proportions at the Royal Rumble.

 

I wish Big Show didn't crack one of Lesnar's ribs...now that I think about it, maybe Big Show cracked Brock's rib on purpose because he knew WWE would be forced to give him the title at the Survivor Series. Ladies and Gentleman, Big Show is the smartest man in wrestling. Triple who?

 

Anyway, let's hope and pray that Vince gets his head out of his ass, and headlines the Rumble with a Brock-Benoit match.

For the sheer comedy value, that might be better.

 

But honetly, I'm thinking Logically. (I know, big mistake) of all the combinations of guys that could main event a PPV (I'd say the cut off is Eddy, with Rey being next in line) That is the worse combination.

But really, when you consider that right now, the smackdown main eventers and upper midcarders are...

Show

Angle

Benoit

Edge

Eddy.

 

Eddy/Benoit would be the best match, and Brock/Show the worst. Unless something drastic happens between now and then, these are the main eventers.

If this happens on Sunday and Show wins (and Lesnar is out for 6 weeks min.) my guess is they might go with Rey against Show in a short program. You got the ultimate little man v. big man match there. They even had Rey do a few comments on "his ability to take down even the biggest men" on Smackdown in thatr vignette so I could see this happening.

 

What they might go though instead of Show winning is having Show take out Brock before the match even happens, and the match is just called off. They then have some sort of whatever then leading to the next ppv where a new champ is crowned, and then Lesnar faces whoever wins that at the Rumble. Or else the same thing happens as mentioned, and instead of Show-Lesnar, Show officially is the champ via forfeit but guess who shows up as a replacement at Survivor Series and wins the title.........you guessed it, Undertaker. Now THAT would be even worse than Show just leaving the ppv as champ if you ask me.

 

I think Lesnar out of action is a sort of godsend because maybe it will rethink their idea of turning him babyface. He could do the return and immediately be back to a heel in no time.

If you want someone to get a token reign while Brock's healing up, throw Edge or Benoit in there, and let them get the pin on Show. First title win, Brock still hasn't really "lost," and when he gets back from injury, it's an insta-program.

 

I just really, really don't want to see any more excuses for Big Show to talk for 10 minutes and waddle to the ring for another 5. If he's the champion, he could be doing it even more than once a week, and that'd just hurt.

That's not true. I listed 47 things they could be doing with Angle and benoit and Eddy, and not everyone involved Angle as champ.

The Royal Rumble main event is always the Royal Rumble. If Brock drops the belt, he needs to loose it to Angle, THEN have the rematch at WM19.

If Brock drops the belt to Angle at the Rumble, They NEED to start the feud after SurSer, with Angle/Benoit and Brock/Edge at Armageddon, with them getting involved in each other's matches, and they must do Angle/benoit at Mania.

They should have Angle and Benoit start early in the Rumble and throughout the whole thing play up a love/hate relationship by having them team up to eliminate guys then beat the shit out of each other when they are alone. Near the end have one eliminate the other, but then have the eliminated guy interfere to make sure the other goes out too (ala Sid-Hogan from 92). This would further the feud for a RR blowoff.

That would be a classic Rumble if this happened... but Angle needs to win the Rumble, or somehow come up with the title shot for Wrestlemania later for the hopeful Angle vs. Brock match.
