Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Sadly, I've only seen GbV once. Did I ever tell the story of how I got Bob Pollard to give me a beer? Good times.... Actually, you did tell me about that. Next time you have a beer with him, tell him he should play "I am a scientist," more often. That's the only song I haven't heard live that I want to hear. Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted November 19, 2002 The first concert I went to was a record release party for a local band called Hobnail. I left before they came on but I saw another group called Humans Being that opened for them. Pretty good band. Primus (POD opened). Everyone at Ozzfest 2000. Including Ozzy, Pantera, Static X, Disturbed, Soulfly, and Kittie. Everyone at Warped Tour 2000 Including NOFX, Green Day, Suicide Machines, and.....well I didn't really care for most of the bands. I went under the impression that Six Feet Under, Dillinger Escape Plan and Vision of Disorder would be there. Well they weren't, and I was pissed. ICP (Marz and Insolence opened). Everyone at the second day of Monster Fest in Burlington, Vermont. June 2001. Including Napalm Death, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, and Soilent Green. Unfortunately I got there late and missed Burnt by the Sun. At each of these concerts I got dehydrated, and almost blacked out. Not a fun experience. I figured I'd learn after the first two times...but it kept happening. I haven't been to a concert since June 2001.

Guest kingkamala Report post Posted November 20, 2002 I might see SR-71 this weekend *dodges rotten tomatoes* The tickets are only $10 dammit! And the show starts at 4:30 in the afternoon so I don't have to waste my night with a bunch of Blink 182 lovin' teenage girls
Guest TheyCallMeMark Report post Posted November 20, 2002 As far as local bands I've played with a couple but I've seen Step Down Jerry, The Melkavoids and Cheat To Win. Not very good. As far as label bands I've seen Jerry Cantrell, Default and Nickelback, all at the same show. It was a DAMN good show, and I wish I could go to it again. The guy in Default can fucking BELT IT OUT. He shook Key Arena, man. Best singer since Chris Cornell, easy. The bass went out for a minute, but they covered well. Cantrell rocked pretty hard, but on some of the songs the guitar/vocal balance didn't seem right. However the Heart sisters came out and sang with him on "Brother", and that was pretty cool. Nickelback stole the show and ripped out tons of great stuff. They really knew how to play live, too. All the songs were in the perfect order. God they stole the show.
