Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted November 18, 2002 This RNN stuff is making me like Randy Orton, when before this i didn't care for him at all. It's amazing what giving a little personality to wrestlers will do, if only the WWE did that when Orton, Batista, Cena etc. all first came up to the main shows. Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I find it very similar to Mattitude, which you could make the argument was very similar to Jericho in WCW. I guess that's why everyone is loving it so much... I think Mattitude, Cena (in time), Christian, Orton and arguably Nowinski are descended down for Jericho. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I want to see Orton entertain in front of a live crowd before labeling him a descendant of Jericho. He has been a little entertaining in these preproduced segments, but until he gets in front of a crowd and gets them going I don't want to mention him in the same ballpark as a WCW Jericho. Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 18, 2002 He can be awful and still be a descendent of Jericho. I'm just referring to the gimmick he's playing.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I've liked Randy Orton since his WWE debut. I used to tune into Velocity just to watch him. I never understood why he gets flak. I liked his dad too. Randy Orton has talent, and is obviously going to the top. So, you might as well get used to him.

No, The Prototype, Mattitude, Harvard Grad, and RNN are all closer to "Your Olympic Hero" than Jericho was. Believe it or not, there were sarcastic heels BEFORE Chris Jericho. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Angle isn't as good as Jericho. Not just his WCW work, but his WWF stuff too. Heel, face, or tweener.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Angle isn't as good as Jericho. Not just his WCW work, but his WWF stuff too. Heel, face, or tweener. That's a pretty bold statement considering how much more sucessful Angle has been then Jericho. Jericho's one real title reign was booked as a shock change, and it didn't work. Angle got a long sucessful reign where he was booked WORSE than Jericho, and came out of it like a million bucks.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I was JOKING~! So am I The "You Got TOLD~! thing is just here to annoy Kotz. what's the story to that anyhow?? I started a James Bond Books thread in Comic Books, where I'd review them and answer questions. He said "First the WWF thread to answer questions no one has, and now this?' And I said, "You asked a question, does that count?" When people did ask questions I started saying Kotz got "TOLD~!" and it culminated in him getting frustrated in a NHB thread and getting "TOLD~!" again. I put other names on as jokes because I like the posters.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I don't think Angle was boked worse than Jericho because at least Angle was a factor in his title feuds. Jericho was the peripheral man in two of the three PPV MEs he had in his reign. At NWO it was the nWo vs. Austin not jericho vs. Austin and at WM it was Steph vs. HHH not Jericho vs. HHH. So while Angle may have been booked bad at least people remember him as a champ, Jericho it is hard to remember the fact that he was champ considering no one paid any attention to his belt. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 18, 2002 His heel work in WCW and starting in the WWF was all as good, if not better than Angle's. It had that Edge and certain other factor that Angle's didn't have. His tweener work during the rock feud was, IMO, even stronger because Jericho could crack jokes but still be totally serious. Same with his face work, though not as strong. And the big point was Jericho figured out how to transcend the heel-face boundary with his funny mic work. At least Jericho won matches against the Rock and Steve Austin. Angle was always booked as getting help to win or at best "surviving" and getting and cheating to win. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Jericho had to cheat horribly to beat Rock. Did you forget the finish, which capped off two run-ins? Austin and the NWO?
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Jericho never won a match clean. Vengeance it took two McMahon finishes and Booker T, at RR he cheated but that was fine, NWO the NWO jumped Austin. Hell as champ he had to cheat to beat Rikishi. In a cage match on RAW he beat Austin and the only cheating was ONE assist from Booker T.
