Lift the Ban on Death Matches in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission recently put a ban on "death matches." Starting January 3rd, 2003, professional wrestling promotions will be forbidden to run death matches within the state's boundaries.

This seriously hurts two of the top promotions in that area, Combat Zone Wrestling and Xtreme Professional Wrestling, along with companies like 3PW and ROH, who hold death matches from time to time.

 

The now-defunct Extreme Championship Wrestling ran in this same area for over seven years and continually ran violent death matches without ever getting in serious trouble for doing so. By signing this petition, you agree that death matches are vital to the continued success of professional wrestling in the Pennsylvania area, and therefore, this ban must be lifted, or at the very least, reconsidered.

Im sorry but I have to agree with Goodhelmet. Im not anti ultra violence, but I am a WRESTLING fan.

 

If this new ruling means that werstlers will be forced to wrestle a new WRESTLING style rather than a VIOLENCE style, then is that such a bad thing?

 

On the other hand, I do agree that Deathmatches should be allowed if promotions want to have them. So I can see the other side of the arguement aswell.
