Supposedly Trips had to spend the night in the hospital. A crushed larynx seems very serious to me. I wondered why he lounged around the ring most of the night. He was staggering quite a bit when he was mobile. I figured it was his knee.

I am no fan of the man but respect what he did last night. For him to leave would have meant drastically altering the match and its finish.

I can respect his durability to a point but I get the suspicion that we are gonna get another "My Sacrifice" HGH commemerative title run and he will win the rumble (again) and we just get to loop the last 12 shitty months of product.

I am tired of Hunter.

I never much cared for his persona or his work but when he was given pushes within the logical heat I was quiet. He is NOT as over as VKM wants to pretend he is. People pop for the intro...just like Hogan.

Brock had more heat. Brock doesn't get the breaks Crips gets. Guess Brock needs to mount the Genetic Repository with his genetic jackhammer...

HHH's throat will be FINE.  He will (unfortuantely) return.

And you know this how?

I suffered a dislocated larynx in a football game. I "toughed-uh" it out through the game in the same way he did.(ie sat on the bench for all but 2 plays and I was a starter) I healed.

The injury he has is only "severe" in and of that it can kill you if it fragmented or gets some good bleeding.

He will make it.

"His backstage behavior" has loads to do with any sympathy I am going to have for him.

Karma works in weird ways...

Lets be honest about two things.

If HHH isn't back in a few days/weeks let alone months, I'll eat my words. I doubt his throat is that bad. I'm sorry if it is but I doubt it.

second, Brock has had as many chances as HHH, or do the last 6 months mean nothing to you? This whole "not losing" gimmick?

Certainly in the time he's been active.

I mean at least Hunter has the history of pig matches and warrior squashes and such.

Brock has had almost nothing except wins wins wins!

Fair enough. I just figured an injury such as a crushed larynx was a devasting one. I see now that it can be but that is not always the case.

*rolls eyes*

seriously...

look guy I once upon a time mocked the HHHaters too and I was never even a fan.

Brock was jobbed out to a guy who can't lace at least ten guys' boots for no logical reason....

Crips was booked to survive the entire match and put Shawn over...

right around the Rumble and from there to the HGH Commemerative Championship is when I made up my mind....

I don't buy the notion that once Vince said "hunter is the guy" he has ever stopped being pushed...

Time will tell on Brock...

After only four minutes, no less.

That's what really curdles my milk. Lesnar cut through the Rock, Hogan, and 'Taker like a hot knife through butter, but was made to look like swiss cheese last night. It all smells like sour cream left out in the sun.

(Sorry for the dairy references. I might be lactose intolerant after last night... I sure was wretching after the PPV was over.)

Oh God, that whole match was booked to make Hunter look good. 5 other guys behaving in ways that make no sense at all just to make sure HHH keeps his heat. How many times did people just ignore hHH to let him rest and pin each other? Or HHH would hit them, and then someone else would get the pin courtesy of HHH.

HHH is a freaking cancer on the show. Brock fights people, beats them but doesn't leave them for dead. HHH leaves them for dead.

If he does have a crushed larynx will he still be able to eat and breathe this business more than anyone else like he says he does?

Well lately he's been shitting on the business if you ask me.

As unfunny, repetitive and brutally boring as all the HHH jokes are, I would probably still not care about them if the injury incurred was for example another torn quad, or maybe a concussion or a broken arm, that sort of thing. A throat injury however, particularly a possible crushed larynx, doesn't really strike me as particularly funny or indeed something to be cheered about. I don't care about the guy's supposed backstage politics, that's just petty shit, but to receive a throat injury like that must be pretty damn scary. To carry on with the match is pretty commendable IMO, not greatest thing ever, but commendable. To make fun of it just because of some shit you've read on the Internet is a little sad, really. That, and HHH can hold down everyone on Raw as much as he likes for all I care, it serves them right for being shit wrestlers.

Jericho has been shit for far too much of the time recently for me to sing his praises. When he's on I love the guy to death, which is why I can't forgive his recent crappiness. Hopefully with him being a major player in the chamber last night he can regain some direction.

RVD - Crappy spot machine, shit wrestler.

Booker - I like him but offense composed entirely of identical-looking kicks plus deathly slow pacing and the whole doesn't have good matches thing, also signifies shit wrestler. I honestly don't get why there are so many cheerleaders for the latter two.

I am not making the argument that any of those wrestlers approach the Trinity, but to say they are "shit" is a bit much.

HGH("God") can't lace 2 of the threes' boots on workrate. He simply is not over, and if they are finally not giving their all can they be blamed if "God"-uh manages to leverage their booking into idiocy on a consistent basis?

I really believe that Booker is vastly Over rated. Save for the 7game series and a few handfuls in WCW...He really has not been a great performer....His match with Rock wasn't that good (and Rock usually makes everyone look good, even Brock and Taker past his prime).

Chris Jericho is the closest thing WWE will ever get in a replica of Randy Savage...the guy can be 100% over as Face or the most hated man on earth. He has that Cocky Bullfucker attitude Savage had.

RvD is merely a role player main eventer. Doom forever to be the Transitional Challenger since he is forever over. Similar to WCW's use of Luger after the inital start.

HHH's throat will recover from this....I'm more worried about RVD's career at this point.

That cage was crappy in some ways. I mean, I dunno if RVD should have done that move or not but there was simply no room in the cage to work with. He's probably on the job squad for a long time over this, and if so I can't really say it's the wrong thing to do. Bah.

Compared to the Trinity, RVD and Booker are pathetic. Taken simply on their own they are just a bit shit. Jericho is good but horribly prone to irritating shittiness. Jericho is also the only one of those three whom I honestly think outworks HHH on any sort of regular basis. HHH-Michaels and HHH-Jericho from a Smackdown earlier this year were better then any any RVD or Booker match I've seen this year. HHH may have a crappy moveset and be bloated and sluggish, but at least he knows how to play his role in a match, something RVD in particular has no grasp of whatsoever.

I agree with those who are celebrating Triple H's injury.

I'm only saddened by the fact that RVD's inevitably headed to HeAT jobber status (see Brown, D'Lo; and Credible, Justin).

If it was karma, then I think Triple H is lucky that his injury wasn't much worse.

I'm so happy for HHH's crushed throat. He didn't need it anyways. All he did was spit water and use up useful oxygen that the other smarkgods like Jericho and Booker need.

He doesn't need to talk to his children in the future. His voice box is the most useless thing, ever.

Of course, this is all sarcasm. And it's very fucked up for people to wish on someone. What if your best friend or loved one suffered a crushed larynx and everyone on the internet got on and started making fun of them? Pretty cool, huh?

Whatever.

If my loved one was a worthless wrestler who's famous for holding back far more talented people; then I'd understand everyone's bitter feelings about the bastard. :phaser:

The main problem with this is that the people I was at the bar with all thought that RVD was the one that got hurt. Of course, we figured that was the only excuse they could possibly have for the most over guy in the match to be eliminated first. (And before you start talking about the HBK chants, they were pretty much non-existent until after Booker was already eliminated.
