Wow, what a debut... squashing midcarders of BOTH brands (OMG, IT DOESN'T RESOLVE WHAT SHOW HE'S GOING TO~!), getting a big pop, flexing his uber-disgusting muscles and cutting an incredibly generic, short, and lame promo. I certainly wasn't impressed with this waste of an over-hyped debut. Were you?

He was ok...I just know that if I hear "Big Booty Daddy" one more time I'm killing somebody.

I didn't get to see any of it because I was on the road, but I think they could have done something a little better with him then that.

I just thought the crowd reaction and entrance was interesting, other than that, it was pointless shit.

Making him a babyface is SO wrong if you ask me.

He would end up a baby anyway since he is an ass kicker. I don't think he has much other range than a pure ass kicker and they always end up as faces.

How old is Steiner. On confidential he said he was just at his peak but I thought he was around 38-40

I think he meant his steroid use is at it's peak.

And it saddens me to think that the writers couldn't even think up a new gimmick for him.

"What did Steiner do in WCW?"

"Urrrrrrrh...says here he beat up jobbers and talked"

"Excellent. Get me a Hardy boy!"

I'm just curious...was Steiner bigger looking now or back in WCW?

definately in wCw. I think he's actually trying to cut down on the bulk.

What else do any of you expect the company to do? It would be pointless for the company to bring in a very popular wrestler and change his character initially. That's what the fans remember and what they want.

Did you see/hear the crowd reaction?

everytime they mention "Big Booty Daddy" I expect Ed Leslie to spring from his brow like Athena from Zeus....

I'm just bitter because two awesome heels got buried for that big doof who will be hurt in two months.

Of course, big doofs that get hurt every other month make you wet, so to each his own I guess.

Tell that to the inhuman tumour growing out of his bicep. It looked like Rick Steiner was in his arm trying to punch his way out.

I too was unimpressed at Big Pile-a Poop's entrance. I'm very disappointed in the NYC crowd. Shame on you for making Vince believe he's right in signing this monstrosity.

And as soon as he opened his mouth, I thought the ground was going to open up and swallow him whole. He really is a mush mouth.

The worst part is, no matter how bad or ineffectual Steiner might be, it's only opening the door wide open for Goldberg. And that, my friends, is when the shit will not only hit the fan, but the fans will start to hit back.

Really Huh? Bet it gets a HUGE pop. And you know it will.

I had forgotten how disgustingly ugly Steiner was. When he took his sunglasses off I thought my heart would explode.

And then a month later, people will realize how untalented and unmotivated he really is and stop watching altogether. Kinda like what happened down in Atlanta.

Because big pops equal ratings. The Hogan theory of relativity.

Don't matter for Vince...Goldberg shows Up...3.3 Rating for that week move to a 4.0 rating next-monday...

Goldberg calls out Rock for next week...4.0 moves to 4.6...WMXIX arrives...Massive Media Blitz...ROCK-GOLDBERG....

..Angle vs Brock will also be featured.

Big draw...Goldberg jobs...Ratings go from 4.5 to 4.3...tHE FANS learn goldberg is gone for good...4.3 to 3.1. and we're back to SQ1.

Since Nowinski and Hardy are actually getting over as young cocky heels, I wish they could have had Steiner squash someone else. And making him a face is the wrong way to go. He knows how to piss off a crowd, and neither brand has enough strong heels.

I marked out. Steiner looked great last night and got a huge reaction from the crowd which was nice to see.

Everyone bad ass gets a pop in NYC...Wait till his reaction in...Jacksonville Fla...see if he is TRULY over.

As a WWF-only mark during the Monday Night Wars, I liked the heel Rock when he beat up jobbers and talked. I'm open to see whether I like this guy or not.

Although there is that air of New Age Of Hoss on him, I'm going to ignore it for now.
