Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted November 21, 2002 I dunno, Don Frye has better standup than Ortiz (IMO) and he couldn't stop Ken (although he did beat him). I predict Ortiz wins by decision.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted November 21, 2002 Shamrock throws a chair at Ortiz Man, this feud is WAY better than anything WWE has had in the past year.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted November 21, 2002 I'm hoping Shamrock wins, but I'm not sure he will because Ortiz is such an ass kicked and the last time I saw Shamrock shootfighting in Pride I wasn't that impressed. I'd say that if Shamrock beats Tito he'll be back in the WWE within a few months.

Guest areacode212 Report post Posted November 22, 2002 Hey, Meltzer made a funny: I've never been able to figure Ken out. Ortiz' promos have improved 100% in the past year and he held his own. Ken was always a great UFC promo, yet a bad pro wrestling promo. But those two back-and-forth last night was a more effective promo than anything on any pro wrestling show to build a match probably dating back to Hogan and Rock. It really brought to light that with the exception of Paul Heyman, literally everyone has forgot how to do a "ticket-selling" promo and they are instead doing public speaking looking for entertainment and laughs, and more often than not, with guys who don't have a comedy delivery. Anyway, the climax of all this was Ortiz telling Ken that he's going to be begging John McCarthy to stop the fight when he "poops in his pants." Ken responded saying that if he does, he's going to wipe it all over Tito's face. I was checking my UFC rule book and there is nothing listed about rubbing poop in someone's face, but I think Nevada needs to add that to a list of illegal activities in a hurry. Next time reporters do round tables on whether it's a sport or not, and one goes, how can it be a sport when one guy rubs poop in another guys' face, I think they'll have a pretty valid point. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 22, 2002 Yeah, I read Meltzers preview of the fights and that pretty much sold me on it. Seems like a really solid card.

Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted November 23, 2002 Less than 5 minutes into the preview and I already want to see Ortiz get his head ripped off. Same here. Shamrock says some stupid stuff though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 23, 2002 That's because Shamrock isn't very smart.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 23, 2002 Shamrock looks like he got himself into phenomenal shape. Ortiz laughing at the press conference was classic. It's probably better for UFC that Ortiz win...and he probably will...but I hope he gets his ass beat along the way.
