Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Unless you get all the ppvs for free(wink, wink)but i still wouldn't watch NWA unless it was only about the x division, the rest is pure crap except for K-kwick the NWA champ.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Tag division got good. They need more main eventers than just Truth and JJ. X-Pac was working out alright...then he got hurt *SHOCK*
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 I dunno, humongous. James/Jarrett was actually half-entertaining last week, and the Tag division is really starting to get ultra kick-ass with The Disciples Of The New Church being probably the best stable in a long time (although they've also been one of the ONLY stables in a long time). Chris Harris and James Storm add a little something to their matches that many tag teams don't: emotion. **splooges over Belladonna** I'm done now...teehee. The Dames 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Hey, Vicky can keep it. She blows Steel away as far as workrate anyway. The Code Red suite Misterio well, or the same reason it does Red. I don't know why Crash is using the Styles Clash...it's not gonna get him over. Jericho should use it. When someone tries to get out of the Walls he should bring them up and Clash them. Then the move would make sense in a moveset. It's not going to do anything for Crash. I agree with you 100% on this post Bps.... Just one addendum though. The main reason why the Crash Landing won't do a damn thing for Holly isn't even the fact that he'll never get pushed....he's too small to put it on anyone other than a Funaki or a Spike Dudley. You don't know the hatred I have for all this is Ace Steel. Dames
The Dames 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Its copying WWF NO MERCY for the N64! Seriously! From my WWE Vengeance 2k2 review: "UT gives Kurt the Angle Slam to conclude the No Mercy stolen special sequence for two. Rock takes care of Angle and gives UT the People's Elbow. Angle pulls Rock out and goes to pin UT(!). These guys ARE playing No Mercy." It's always the first thing that comes to my head when I see finishers being stolen by your opponent. I guess the plus is then that Crash only seems to wrestle people that size anymore, anyway. Jericho, on the other hand, faces heavyweights all the time and I have my doubts that he would be able to put the Clash on anyone bigger than RVD since Y2J is pretty much a slouch in the power department. Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Crash Landing, Styles Clash, whatever you want to call it, is a really stupid-looking move. Its massively contrived and doesn't really look like it hurts that much. Hey! I just summed up 90% of AJ Styles' and most of the X-Division wrestlers offense! Don't mind Low Ki though. And Lynn is good, but his matches bore the crap out of me.

Wait a second on Styles....other than the Styles Clash, which looks impressive although you can tell the other opponent isn't hurt much, what else doesn't look like it's effective? He's pretty solid in that department, IMO. Dames
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Maybe he means the Spiral Tap, because 200 lbs. of a human body with the momentum of a somersault and corkscrew CAN'T hurt at all...
Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Maybe he means the Spiral Tap, because 200 lbs. of a human body with the momentum of a somersault and corkscrew CAN'T hurt at all... Well, Styles overuses the DDT massively, and everyone else in the division sells it in such a way as to make it look far too fluid, like there is blatant full co-operation involved. The Spiral tap he does is just that little bit too twirly for my liking, as are some of his other aerial moves. I do dig his lariat though. Its possible that my view of Styles' offense has been tarnished somewhat by the rampant no-selling that goes on in the rest of the X-Division, but that's their problem to sort out. When I watch lighter weight classes of wrestling I want Rey-Eddie 97 and Benoit-Sasuke 94, not endless repeats of RVD-Lynn.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 His high flying manuevers may be overly "twirly" but they have a sure pack some impact. The Spiral Tap looks like a move that should end a match. The Shooting Styles Press, I'll admit, although impressive, does nothing but put Styles in danger. Dames
Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Oh the Spiral Tap has impact, I just don't care for it. Yet at the same time I like Low Ki's Phoenix Splash, as well as his ridiculously theatrical thing where he cartwheels into the jumping corner kick. Oh well, must be because Ki uses these moves at more appropriate times and also, the guy just has more flair and overblown fun to his work than Styles. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 19, 2002 Bah to all of that, his suplex into a neckbreaker is the best move in his moveset anyway
