Guest El Satanico Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 whoa...holy shit it was a argument argh i can hear the people blowing it out of proportion already
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Damnit, Satanico... I add you to my AIM buddy list to talk FOOTBALL~!, but you weren't on.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Oh...sorry about that i block everyone not already on my list. There i fixed it
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 INTERCEPTION!! TEXANS WIN! TEXANS WIN! I go 4-4 in the late games, and salvage a good score out of what looked like a bunch of crappy picks.. *goes outside and retrieves the magic football picking hat of doom* Might need it next week..
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I'm elated about Houston. Maybe it's their logo and uber-awesome stadium, but I love that team. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest D'Lo White Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 The Giants lose to the Texans. Thank God for the Jets. I am also proud that I was able to sit through that whole game. Not many people could last over 3 hours of Giant/Texan football.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Ohhhh.. Sherman said "F*ck you" and then Sapp said "F*ck you"..and then they argued some more and then some more curse words.. Hmm. I agree, Sapp's hit was cheap..
Guest El Satanico Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Funny...Bradshaw talking about "Cheap shots" when Pittsburg was a team known for alot of these "cheap shots" when he played.
Guest midnight_burn Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Warner's going to fuck me over with the Lock of the week, i just know it. Looks like i was right, damn St. Louis. An unimpressive 8 right so far, but Warner fumbling away my Lock of the Week pick means that goes down to 7. Denver and the 49'ers better win.
Guest The Voices In Your Head Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Wow, what an awful Sunday I had. The Packers lost, which angers me to no end, and I'm probably going to have my worst week of the season. Pretty much the only highlight of the day for me was getting my LOCK OF THE WEEK right with the Redskins.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Total F'n Ugh...this week so far 6 picks rights instead of 7 thanks to the Rams screwing over my Lock...Denver and San Fran better win to give me a halfway decent 8 wins by Tuesday.
Guest Kingpk Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Yeesh, let's just forget this week ever happened and move on, shall we?
Guest Kinetic Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 As far as the debilitating shot Sapp gave that guy: This ain't ballet, people. It was a totally legal block and, if anything, Sherman was out of line in not shaking Sapp's hand at the end of the game. But, whatever. That's irrelevant. What IS relevant is the fact that Tampa proved that they can beat a good team this year and can do it convincingly. And with the New Orleans loss, they've got the inside track to winning the NFC South and getting homefield advantage throughout. Whoo-hoo!
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 And with the New Orleans loss, they've got the inside track to winning the NFC South and getting homefield advantage throughout. Whoo-hoo! Pray Deuce McAllister stays injured for the rest of the season.
Guest packwingfn Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Kinetic Hey I wouldnt count out the Falcons for the NFC South Division, their one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, In 2 weeks, We'll see!!!
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I wouldn't either. *can't wait until he gets his Vick jersey*
Conspiracy_Victim Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I'm elated about Houston. Maybe it's their logo and uber-awesome stadium, but I love that team. Hey Kotzen I'll tell you what that stadium is impressive as hell, and the practice fields aren't anything to sneeze at either. If you come down the freeway near Reliant you can see the Astrodome with Reliant Stadium behind it. The thing friggin DWARFS the 'Dome. Although the Dome has like 5 floors underground (offices and such) Reliant is almost twice as high and about half again as long. Feels like the biggest place I've ever been in. And the practice facility is amazing. Four outdoor fields I wish my semipro team could play their games on, and the indoor bubble is awesome. Astroturf feels like grass the ground up tires make for a rubber "dirt". Been in there a couple times (friend of mine works in a luxury suite and is on friendly terms with Capers) and it never ceases to amaze me. And yes, the logo is tremendous. Much better than the old oil derrick Bud "Asshole" Adams chose for the Oilers. I wasn't a big fan of the baby blue uniforms either .
Guest Kingpk Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Big kick by Vanderjact there. Doesn't compare to Vinatieri's, though.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 This isn't a Superbowl game either.
Guest Kingpk Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I meant the kick against Oakland. EDIT: Ok, he just kicked one at 51 for the win. That puts him a little closer, but they were in Denver, so put an asterisk there.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Vanderjagt is the fucking man. FUCKING COLTS!! >_<
Guest bravesfan Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Hey Kotzen I'll tell you what that stadium is impressive as hell, and the practice fields aren't anything to sneeze at either. Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I got 5 right (not count MNF)... God, I suck.
Guest midnight_burn Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Not only do i get another pick wrong with Indy's win, but it also puts the Titans a game back in the AFC South, bah @ this whole week.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Blah this NFL week to hell, BAH GAWD!
Guest bravesfan Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Before Vanderjagt's 54-yard FG to tie up game: "IMPOSSIBLE. Vander's career long is 53 yards, there's no way he can hit a 54 yarder... in the snow no less!" After the field goal: <mark-out> Ten minutes later... Before Vanderjagt's 51-yard FG to win game: "How can he hit a 50-yard field goal FACING THE WIND? Screw that, it's IMPOSSIBLE". After the field goal: <mark-out>
Conspiracy_Victim Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Can anyone tell me what the Astrodome is used for currently? High school football playoff games at the moment. Amazing that the "eighth wonder of the world" is used for H.S. games now. After that, I'm not sure what it's going to be used for, and neither does the Harris County Authority (the owner of the Dome) last I heard. I've heard quite a few ideas, including converting it into a parking garage for Reliant. Since we got screwed I mean since we lost the Olympic bid, only thing it's got plans for is like Track and Field Championships, etc.
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Reliant Stadium is freaking awesome, and those fans are always juiced to all hell. I wouldn't count the Falcons out of the South either, but they HAVE to beat the Bucs in Round Two, something that's looking tough with the ass-kicking they took first time they played. Team is clicking, though, and this is the NFL.
