This is pretty much for North America and WWE. As I don't know much about other area's.

Past: Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Dynamite Kid, Brian Pillman, Ricky Morton, Shawn Michaels, etc. Of Course some of these could be argued.

Present: Benoit, Eddie, Chavo, Angle, Rey Mysterio, Jericho, Booker T, Jerry Lynn etc. Of Course some of these could be argued.

With the exception of Noble, Helms and arguably Edge, I can't really see any other guys who will become our Favorites and become "God like" workers after guys like Benoit, Angle, Eddie, etc fade away. Maybe AJ Styles if he ever decides to come to the WWE?

I'm not an "Expert" on the Indy scene so who do you think could be great in the future? Along with "younger" guys in the WWE now?

Christopher Daniels...

but he'd be in the cruiser division and we'd never actually SEE him do anything.

Bash me all you want, but I really like John Cena. He's a decent worker with a lot of room to improve. I enjoy his mic skills, he brings the funny and I can definitely see him getting an Edge like push eventually.

I think that Orton has some definite potential to evolve into a good worker, and Matt Hardy for the same reasons. He has the charisma to make the marks care, and his workrate within his (admittedly limited) moveset is crisp for the most part. Helms will get on the list before he is 33. In the indy ranks I am pretty unsure, but they'll be easy to pick them out when they make the bigs.

Everyone knew Benoit was special for example...

Well... the problem is that indy guys like Daniels, Low Ki, and American Dragon will never get to be workrate guys in the WWE.

Too small...

"anything can happen in the WWE"....

*snicker*

I dunno maybe there will be a smaller guy renaissance when Vinny almost goes bankrupt again....

What about Shannon Moore or Chris Nowinski?

both are possible...

it would be better to wait until the Trinity starts slipping to do this...

as right now it is just "swaging"....

Definetly Nowinski.

Dames, I'm with you on Cena.

I also expect Shelton Benjamin to do really well for himself.

Ki's told me himself that they don't want him because he refuses to change his style to a softer, less stiff style. Am Dragon was trained by Regal so he has a way in, but is too much of a mat worker to get any play.

Daniels can do it and so can AJ, but Styles was offered a developmental contract but had to turn it down because of the low salary.

American Dragon is an interesting one.

The WWE would love to have a cruiser who can wrestle without having to highspot...because that's just the way they like it.

The problem is the crowd will piss all over it because they are trained to not like small people and mat wrestlers. That's a double wammy.

Styles was an Idiot...Turning down a contract cause of Low Salary? Closest thing to a steady job in Wrestling these days...

They offered him 500 dollars a week to go to OVW.

He didn't want to move his wife up to Cinci to make 500 dollars a week.

I thought they were offering a Normal OVW salary...Where does he live? His wife can stay with me :)

Teaming him with Bull Buchanan should make an interesting pairing. How old is Bull anyway. Im suprised he has been employed for as long as he has (1997)

Man, WWE has a great chance here to make the dumbest of Marks get behind these type of guys. The Smackdown Six always get pretty good pops.

Yeah, but Dragon is literally a mat wrestler. the SD! 6 doesn't throw you in thirty different types of armbars for 10 minutes.

Posted

Helms is a yardtard, so Ubersmarks should never like him for that reasons alone.

Low Ki, as I have said before is not just stiff, he's far to stiff, and also looks like he intends to hurt people at times (see when he takes a step back in a kick combo on AM Dragon so he will and did hit him square in the chest) Low Ki needs to have a bloody skull caved in if he carries on like he does now.

Tis true, I can't think of too many WWE guys that would fancy stepping in the ring with Low Ki.

His kicks are out of control.

He kicked AJ Styles so fucking hard in the throat during the first TNA x title match that I had to turn my head.

I'd like to see him try to stiff Angle.....he'd get a leg broken for that.

Posted

He should do anyway.

It's the reason why you always see Styles, Daneils, Dragon etc are so much stiffer in the ring with him, to try and get the point to him, and give what they get.

I remember someone once said they feel sorry for Low Ki being in the ring against someone as stiff as Am Dragon.. LOL

Really, Low Ki has to learn to work his kicks, and not be so slopy, or he'll kill someone.

I don't see why American Dragon couldn't adapt it slightly. He seems to be an intelligent enough worker with a credible enough moveset to easily fit in with the WWE and yet be unique at the same time. They may not use his like to their fullest, but the WWE top brass always like having a Benoit/Bret Hart type around, as even in their craziest delusions they know they need someone reliable enough to work a good match.

There's no doubt in my mind that Dragon could adapt.

He's a solid all around wrestler. I just don't want him to change his style.

He can suplex, spinebuster and do high impact moves with the best of them. The kid knows no boundaries!

Well, I don't mean have his moveset drastically reduced, but I reckon they'd allow him the leeway they do Benoit. Much of Dragon's offense looks awesome but isn't really that dangerous when you think about it, and the Cattle mutilation is a great finish. And I wouldn't want him to change his style, but I wouldn't shed tears if he was forced to shave four or five minutes off his matwork at the beginning of matches. When I watched the Dragon-Ki ROH match this year I went slightly sour on the matwork when it didn't really lead anywhere. The time spent on it seemed to be a bit much.

If they aren't already, Lesnar and Knoble. Watch Knoble's HWA stuff and he's a carbon copy of Benoit doing everything right at the right moments with Benoit moves, gestures, selling, and manneurisms.
