With the rising popularity of NWA-TNA and the lately up-and-down ratings WWE has been expierencing, Vince McMahon has been becoming increasingly worried about the competition NWA-TNA could produce in the future.

NWA-TNA which features many former WWE talent, that have found a home with different management has been producing live weekly PPV's for the past few months now, and have grown very popular in a short time.

Right now, NWA-TNA can be considered WWE's main competition, and could possibly pose a threat to WWE in the future, much like WCW did. Some believe that in the future there could be rating battles between WWE & NWA-TNA much like there was between WWF & WCW a few years ago

If this is true, maybe Vince will see what they're doing right and fight it. Either it's true, or some fan posted what they think should happen.

No...Not until NWATNA gets a BIG NAME (ALA Hogan) and a Network deal....

Until TNA gets a TV deal, they aren't much competition at all. They aren't eating into their buyrates or ratings, so I wouldn't see any reason why WWE would concern themselves too much with them.

NWA has a long way to go still.

btw, I watched it last night for the first time in 2 months, and I was impressed how much better it was production wise. The Wrestling was solid also.

When NWA-TNA changes it's absurd name, perhaps.

I thought "TNA" was just the name of their show. Arn't they the NWA?

Actually, NWA-TNA COULD be eating into the buyrates of WWE...

People could be buying NWA-TNA PPVs insted of shelling out the 40 or whatever amount of dollars it is for a WWE PPV.

The TNA part is to differentiate itself from the other NWA, which would be NWA Wildside.

How about "NWA Worldwide"?

Think about it NWA:TNA is just... wrong sounding.(Like that)

It doesn't have the crispness of "WWF"

The NWA has always been an alliance of promoters around the country, not really a fed. Each region had a way to distinguish itself (World Class, Georgia, etc.) So while they are part of the NWA they aren't the whole NWA.

I knew that.

But times have changed. Just merge the two NWA's together.

It would help the X-Division.

NWA is just a collective of promoters who have shows in Civic Centers and High School Gyms! TNA and Wildside are the better known ones only because they are syndaticated on indy tv channels like America-1 or Urban TV Network. TNA is the one with the best talent consisting more than just rookie marks doing highspots.

the NWA Southwest holds its show on the otherside of a F'N arcade, when they are not using the go-cart track. if your ever in Fort Worth take 820 loop off of Pipeline exit next to Hooters to see for yourself.

OK...slightly off topic, but I've been kinda out of the loop with NWA-TNA...

What exactly are the rules of the X-Division?

You actually have to know how to wrestle.

Seriously, consider it a cruiserweight division with a cool name. All the participants have been wrestlers with the better workrate:

AJ Styles

Jerry Lynn

Low Ki

Red

and others

It's a shame Eddy didn't do a few shows there before he made his WWE return.

The exception to the rule being Sean "Lightning 1-2-3 Syxx X-Pac Kid" Waltman, right?

how would the Smackdown 6 fair against the X Division?

Red vs Mysterio

Waltman's supposedly been really good there. His kicks have been crisp and less regulated.

There would be great matches but the SD6 for the most part would own the X divisions. AJ and Jerry would be the only one's I think could hang with Red being a notch below.

They don't need a "big name" to be a competitor with WWeee. These "big names" haven't done much for WWeee so they aren't that important.

But yes, they do need a TV deal before they are real competitors of wweee.

I always figured one of the reasons Jerry is using the TNA name is just in case they ever break off and go on their own.

And I think the Torch reported a few weeks back that TNA was originally going to be "Tuesday Night All-Stars", but when Jerry noticed WWE runs their PPV replays on Tuesday they decided to have their shows the next night.

Well, I heard NWA has a contract to do a year of PPV shows....after that however I think Jarrett seriously outta look into getting a real TV deal. Once that happens, Vince might start worrying.

I've enjoyed the NWA shows I've seen for the most part.

In Bizzarro-land, maybe.

But in this land, where TNANWA has difficulty paying the companies that assist in their meager marketing and have to lie to move their show into a smaller venue (which looks rediculously small compared to the last one), I don't think it matters.

I believe he's been looking into getting a TV deal already.

At least i'd hope so because it wouldn't be a smart move to wait until your current contract is close to ending to start looking.

would SAT be the Wonder Twins?

SAT vs Guerreros would be a good match up

WWE has nothing to fear until NWA TNA gets a tv deal on a network like Fox or any of its cable channels like FX or Fox Sports Net.

Does SAT include Red? Because fat SAT does not impress me much.

NWA: Tits N' Ass.

I always think that when I read "TNA". Change it to something, I don't know, WRESTLING related?
