Guest Andy Report post Posted November 22, 2002 Just wondering what people's favourite Ring Of Honor show is? There have been so many good matches on the five events that I've seen that I'm somewhat spoiled for choice. Any thoughts? Best wishes, Andy
Guest Ace309 Report post Posted November 22, 2002 I think you'll get the most bang for your buck on 3-30-02, but that's just me.
Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted November 22, 2002 After reviwing 6/22 last night it was a toss up for me. 3/30 has two low end MOTYC in Dragon vs Daniels and Daniels vs Ki along with one high end MOTYC in Ki vs Dragon. However, the rest of the card could be deemed OK - good. On the other hand, 6/22 was consistent from start to finish as just about every match (outside of the tag mess and the impromptu women's match) ranged from good - great. So it's a matter of what you want more. Three excellent matches amid some fodder or 10 good - great matches without anything on the MOTYC list. If I had to choose now; I'd probably still go with 3/30 for the main event.
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted November 23, 2002 "Road to the Title" and "A Night of Appreciation" are really good. "Round Robin Challenge" has three awesome matches between American Dragon/Daniels/Low Ki, but not much else.
Guest Daddy X Report post Posted November 24, 2002 8/24! The debut in Boston (Wakefield).... The crowd is hot and the matches are incredible. The Briscoe's go toe to toe in an incredible match, Doug Williams and American Dragon put on a wrestling clinic, AJ Styles and Low Ki top of the show with a great match full of shoot style, high flying, and innovation! Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted November 25, 2002 I think the best show top to bottom would be the 11/9 show. The 6 man tag was good, Styles/Am Drag was Styles best match ever, and the Main Event was the best Japanese wrestling that you will see in this country. 3/30 is a good show, but only has 3 guys doing the work on the whole show. 11/9 had Ki, Corino, Tanaka, Otani, Samoa Joe, Homicide, Morgan, Daniels, American Dragon, Williams, and Styles all contributing to an excellent show. Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Yep. I was there. I thought it was an excellent show. The 6 man tag was good, only a little short for everything they could have done but excusible. Styles/Am Drag was great, with Dragon carrying Styles. And the Main Event had HEAT. It was an awesome match. More of a spotfu than a AJPWish tag, but beyond awesome live. Tim
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Favorite show? Hmmm... Up-to-down, either "A Night Of Appreciation to Eddy Guerrero" or "Road To The Title". But, that Ironman match on the July tape did rock it hard, the opener was really good (Mamaluke vs. Lopez), and nothing sucked too much that it made you say, "Man, this tape is alright because of 'so-and-so vs. so-and-so". Guest pete Report post Posted November 26, 2002 My favorite show was the 3/30 show. The Dragon/Ki' match is incredible. The other 2 matches in the Round Robin challenge were really good also. When you get to see 3 of your favorite workers work twice in a night it is a good thing. Plus, you had Spanky and Jay Briscoe go at it to round out a very good card. Or the 3rd show? Im pretty sure it was the second show that featured the round robin with ki/daniels/dragon, but im not certain if that was 30/

Guest ChaosTheory Report post Posted December 7, 2002 Fav ROH Shows: 1) Round Robin Challenge 2) Road to the Title 3) Era of Honor Begins 4) Night of Appreciation 5) Honor Invades Boston 6) Crowning A Champion I have enjoyed all the shows. RRC takes the cake for me cause you get to see Dragon vs. Ki-which is the match of the year in ROH so far and you also get Dragon vs. Daniels and Ki vs. Daniels. Road to the Title is second cause of all of the quality matches of the card & all of the talent (too numerous to list). Era of Honor Begins is a sentimental fav of mine cause it was the introduction to the promotion and it could not have started better than the awesome main event of Ki vs. Dragon vs. Daniels. This match hooked me and has not done me wrong yet. The other shows are solid as well, there is not a stinker in the bunch. I am waiting to see the rest. I am gonna have to get up to Philly sometime and check out these guys in person!
Guest JHawk Report post Posted December 7, 2002 I think there were two this month just to try to expand the product a little bit. I've only seen the first three shows myself so far, but I'd have to echo the 3/30 sentiments. Low-Ki vs. Dragon was absolutely amazing. Although I'll be at the 1/11 show in W. Mifflin, PA (just outside Pittsburgh) so that will probably be my new favorite by default.
