Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 The matches are as follows.... Molly Holly vs Jacqueline Hurricane Helms vs Justin Credible Johnny Stamboli vs D'Lo Brown Raven vs Aaron Stevens My Thoughts: Hurricane and Credible should be decent. Wonder how good this Aaron Stevens guy is...
Guest D'Lo White Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 I have not watched Heat in months, but tonight every match has one person in it that I like. I might watch. Is Lita still on commentary?
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 I think Lita is the main commentator though you still got the Coach meister... which may not be as good as I thought but you can always watch it on mute
Guest razazteca Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 who is Aaron Stevens, is he from OVW or just the weekly jobber that missed out on the Velocity taping? hmmmmm is it Stevie's kin, probably not.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 I'm assuming he's the "weekly jobber that missed out on the Velocity taping" as you so eloquently put it
ChrisMWaters Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 Is it me, or are Heat and Velocity becoming what The Wrestling Challenge became after Raw and Superstars were both the major shows of the WWF? Heck...what Superstars was when Raw was getting more power behind it, for that matter.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 That hit me too. It's the return of the 1993-1995 shows where jobbers aplenty would show up...cept with storylines too!
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Looks like Hurricane and Credible'll open this shindig up.
Guest razazteca Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 worst announcing ever! Coach still thinks that D-Lo is there using the same annoying jokes, while Lita sounds like Nicole Bass lite.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Shining Wizard:) Cool...Match is getting some time too...
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 SICK Vertabreaker!!! God Damn was that NASTY...
Guest razazteca Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 VETREBREAKER!!!!!!!! damn it Heat needs Joey Styles in the worst way
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I'd settle for Don Cyrus...hell bring back F'n Tony Schiavone at this point, I'm begging ya...
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Raven=God...His interviews rule it:)
Guest razazteca Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 don't ever say that you want Tony Schavonie back! jobbers with storylines very interesting for me to poop on~
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I know, I sinned when I mentioned Schiavone I meant uhm...Scott Hudson
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Seems like they're looking at Boston lately...first Cena, now Stevens...jeesh. Hopefully somebody good'll represent Boston soon.
Guest chirs3 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I don't get what the big deal is about Raven's mic skills. I think he's horrible. He sounds like he's trying too hard to be intelligent. It all sounds really forced and... ugh... I dunno.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 In real life Raven(Scott Levy) actually has a fairly high IQ...
Guest razazteca Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 well its different than the usual cartoon comedy you might get from the "superstars" Raven breaking fingers rule.......poor Lodi
Guest chirs3 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 In real life Raven(Scott Levy) actually has a fairly high IQ... But on camera, every time he talks it sounds like he's TRYING to sound smart, rather than IS smart. If that makes sense.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Coach: Raven spreading his arms in a Flock manner Could that be a sign of things to come? Normally it'd be called a Crucifix pose or something.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 But on camera, every time he talks it sounds like he's TRYING to sound smart, rather than IS smart. If that makes sense. I can see where you're coming from but I think it's just the fact that he's the ONLY wrestler that I've seen aside from maybe Vince McMahon who incorporates big words I guess you'd call them.
Guest Ram Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Whatever happened to Raven's master plan?
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Whatever happened to Raven's master plan? They're still pushing it(Coach at least) but it sounds like the writing staff isn't sure how to go about it so they're delaying the payoff for now.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Stamboli b. D'Lo Brown via stealing Goldberg's Press Slam into Powerslam Match length from bell to bell was 5:05 though, so not too shabby.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Molly b. Jacqueline via Inside Cradle at 3:55. SICK bulldog by Jacqueline tho, set up to a monkey flip and then jumped off with the bulldog. Thus concludes Heat. MOTN: Hurricane vs Credible considering the time given. Plus the Nasty Vertebreaker.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Boooooooo! No Shelton!!!!!!!!! This is the most annoying commentary team ever now. I was able to tolerate Mark Madden more. At least Shane broke out the VERTeBREAKER!!!!! Ex-WCWers took control tonight.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I talk to the Heat recapper of this site regularly, and every week I make it a note to tell him that he has my respect, as I doubt I would be able to handle hearing Coach and Lita for a solid hour, week after week.
Guest JMTapes Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Aaron Stevens is an indy worker from the New England area. He wrestled for Chaotic Wrestling the past few years, along with Chris Nowinski. He's very good in the ring, and OK on the stick. He is still one of Chaotic's top players. I didn't think he'd be back more than once. Interesting. -Jim www.jmtapes.com
