Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Is anyone over enough to turn him heel? Rock always comes out on the short end of face/face fights and there aren't any other mega-faces to use. RVD/Lesnar would probobly garner a mixed reaction. RVD/Misterio would get the mutual respect thing. RVD/Edge, I think RVD is a lot more popular.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 25, 2002 RVD/Rock already happened right after Rock returned last year. RVD got the crowd. Rock ALWAYS loses the crowd when they have another option.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Is anyone over enough to turn him heel? Rock always comes out on the short end of face/face fights and there aren't any other mega-faces to use. The funny thing is that RVD is more over as a face when he is a heel. Fans where cheering him more when he was in the alliance that now. In ECW, RVD also got bigger pops when he was a heel than a face.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Rock ALWAYS loses the crowd when they have another option. Yeah...no matter if it's a heel sometimes too. Wrestlemania X8, anyone?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 25, 2002 RVD was technically a heel too, and Jericho was at least a tweener when he won the crowd at No Mercy. Austin took it despite turning heel in the match... Brock and Hogan took it as heels. Sometimes the crowd will do anything to not cheer for the guy.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 25, 2002 I don't think the Hogan comparison is fair though, because after all of the years as the man there was no way he was making his comeback without the fans cheering for him anyway. I was shocked at how bad the Rock lost the crowd though. I was figuring 50-50 maybe up to 70-30 Hogan, but they completely turned on Rock.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 25, 2002 I can only remember RVD getting booed once in his Alliance time, and it was in a backstage moment before his Invasion match with Jeff. He ran up, hit Matt with a chair and the crowed booed. Then the match started and the crowd never looked back with him.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 25, 2002 It is amazing how it only took him one match to get over. His entrance was not met with much response, but by the finish the male part of the crowd was his.

No man, his first match was RVD and Some other ECW guy against Eddy and Matt Hardy. Once hit Rolling Thunder and then went for his first spin-kick combo. He totally stole the match from Eddy, and beat him with his own move. (To cheers no less)

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Lillian always wanted RVD. She stared at him like a school girl everytime. I know. She did the same thing to Jericho. This caused her to screw up everytime she announced him. - Announcing him as the IC Champ when he wasn't - Calling him Chris benoit - Calling him Christian - Calling him the tag Champion when he wasn't. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 25, 2002 I think the Jericho screwups were just a fact she is a fucking idiot. Hence "The Allowance", Chuck O'Haire.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Hmm...this talk about Lilian being a whore made me think... That's the reason why HHH has started to suck in wrestling again: Stephanie's a succubus, and has been stealing all of his energy in thier..."activities"
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted November 25, 2002 Actually RVD's first WWF match last year was when he teamed with Kidman against Jeff and X Pac. Eddie wasn't in that at all. That was a nice little forgotten match on SMDN, RVD got mad over by the end of it too.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted November 26, 2002 That's true. That was also the first indication (at least to me) that X-Pac wasn't going to get cheered along with the other WWF guys. Eddy had been gone two months at that point.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I don't know if this makes much difference...but here goes. NWA:TNA ran the Mr. Wrestling III angle to what I would like to call...perfection. Russo was supposedly gone...but NWA swerved the internet. I'm telling you now...this whole thing...it smells of a swerve. Don't be surprised if this whole HHH thing is a SWERVE. Jus thought you guys should know...
