Has anyone mentioned Fastball yet? "Fire Escape," I think it was. I don't remember how the song went, but it was a pretty big hit.

I thought Fastball did "The Way." Also, since godthedog mentioned it, I thought the Freedy Johnston's hit was "Bad Reputation."

You're right. "Fire Escape" was the inevitable follow-up single that failed to catch on. I believe I'd consider Everything But The Girl to be a one hit wonder, as the only thing I've ever heard from them is "Missing." Not a bad song, either.

Metal Ed is like Bad Medicine, but Bad Medicine is what we need.

I did like the Sneaker Pimps "6 Underground" when it came out in 1996 for Val Kilmer's "The Saint" soundtrack.

Soul Asylum also had "Misery".

I think New Radicals had another song, too. "Someday We'll Know" or something like that.

to whoever aid on the first page that Tonic was a one-hit wonder:

I'LL CUT YOU!

They've had so many verifiable hits . Open up Your Eyes, If You could only see, Sugar, etc....

Tonic kicks ass.

Fuckers.

I vaguely remember them being some kind of innocuous radio crap like Third Eye Blind and Matchbox 20, but I could be wrong.

The band was Dog's Eye View, and the song was called Everything Falls Apart.

Well, that just brought back bad memories.

Nothing more frightening than seeing their lead singer's head in a baby carriage. Well, besides Les Claypool in a green crushed-velvet suit wearing a big mask and doing funky jigs all about in the video for "Mr. Krinkle."

i thought the image of the primus guys in the big cowboy outfits with the slightly creepy lighting in 'wynonna's big brown beaver' was more disturbing, but to each his own.

That's also a bit troubling, but the thing that really made "Mr. Krinle" horrifying for me when I was younger was the circus freaks in the background doing all kind of crazy shit. The first time I saw that vid I must've been 12 or 13, and watching that on The Ball, I was like "OK, this is the scariest shit I've ever seen."
