Steve Austin on Inside Edition...

How come Austin never got arrested for stunning Chyna? Do you have to be married to them? I mean after all Debra did not file charges against Williams, the State of Texas did. Bah i'm being a moron, i should probably go now...

Actually you brought up a pretty good point that I never thought about. I guess it wasn't domestic. Anyway, he got what he deserved. The same thing a first time offender would have gotten in the same situation.

Quick question...does that mean he can't drink beer on TV if he comes back?

Well, technically, he never even really drank beer on TV, he spilled it all over the damn place.

They could just come up with a non-alcoholic brand. If for some reason it's decided that makes him look like a pansy they can just put a generic label on it. I mean, this is the same wrestling universe that has Ass Cream branded Ass Cream.

I work as an adult probation officer. As a general rule, we don't let our offenders consume alcohol....but for some ringside tickets to Wrestlemania, I could look the other way ;)

And come ON. Steve's human and Debra was probably being a bitch to him about the whole thing...and it's not like he's still beating her. And I'm sure Austin would do just fine on his own kicking the ass of some Judo champion.

Bull fucking Shit, no matter how much of a 'bitch' a female is to you, it NEVER gives you the right to HIT her. That's what's wrong with fucking America, it thinks that if someone pisses them off it makes it okay to beat the crap out of it.

The rumor was Debra hit Steve in the back of the head/neck area while he walked away from an argument. That dumb bitch had that shit coming. When a woman puts herself in a position to be treated like a man, then she should not be surprised if she is thus handled like one.

I'm not saying a man has the right to throw a woman down a flight of stairs, break her bones or injuries of the like. But I suspect that in this case Debra had that shit coming. I sure as hell would have bitch slapped that broad if she pulled a stunt like that with me.

I think everyone has a boiling point. Obviously Steve was showing some self control by attempting to walk away from an argument. It was Debra's foolishness that caused him to snap. People can only be provoked by so much. I will not stand by idly while someone throws objects at me. It's that simple.

Understandably so, but then it is no longer illegal, it's self defence. There is a difference between knocking a bitch out because she has slightly ticked you off, or defending yourself from being hurt.

I hardly doubt Austin was in the position of having his ass handed to him by his wife.

What America are you talking about? I don't know a single person who fits your stereotypical profiling. NOT A SINGLE ONE. Is it O.K. to stereo type people "where you come from?"

Never heard of STEVE AUSTIN huh? Sure sounds like an American to me.

My Aunt lives over in America, for 10 years she was beaten by an abusive husband.

Thats 2 examples right there, and i know plently more, so don't get me started.

I never once said it was ok for Steve to beat the shit out of Debra, but I certainly don't blame him. With that annoying voice, she probably drove him crazy and now that I hear she actually hit him, that gives him all the right to do something.

Just don't sit here and say "I'd never do something like that" when you have never been in that position. Like buffybeast said, everyone has a boiling point and it just comes that time you aren't gunna take anymore.

And Debra is one lucky woman to have Steve stay with her because it's obvious that she probably still feels she can ride the gravy train until he finally retires.

And Illusion, I apologize for what happened to your aunt...but you can't really hold that against us in this debate because I'm sure the situations where probably different. I'm also sure from wherever country you are that there has been PLENTLY of marriage issues that consists of violence...it's just a sad thing that happens and no one can really stop it.

I suspect Steve decided to stay with her because it would have cost him millions to divorce her. Yes I know she signed a prenuptial agreement. But physical abuse is a valid argument to make to a judge when her lawyers would probably ask to nullify the prenup.

Debra's a lot smarter than she looks.

That's ridiculous, and no it doesn't.

So if she was bitching at you for god knows how long, you finally say "fuck this" and begin to leave your house, and she smacks you in the head...what would you do? Sure, he probably went too far by beating the fuck out of her, but I know my temper would blow.

I usually read everything with Austin's name in the Headline on the "News/Rumors" sites, and I never read once that Debra hit him first.

Also, how do any of you know for fact that they signed a prenuptial agreement?

Steve Austin said in an interview that Debra agreed to sign a prenup.

I read a news report (rumor) that Debra threw a vase at him while he was walking out of a room.

I don't fall on the side that says there's never an acceptable reason for a man to strike a women no matter what. But you should never even think about hitting a woman unless it's a very extreme case. Getting hit even with an object while walking away isn't an extreme case.

It would have to take an extremely violent attack and to a point where it's impossible to get her to stop by any other means before I'd even THINK about hitting a woman. So it's a very rare occurance when it's forgivable to hit a woman, but it can still happen. Being violently attacked is the only reason why anyone should hit a person(man or woman) end of story.

Losing your temper is NEVER an excuse to hit ANYONE yet alone a woman. To even debate that is just plain silly.

I'd never hit a woman and I think Steve was wrong for doing it. But I can't blame him as he was definately under a lot of stress at the time. People do stupid things when they are under big amounts of stress.

So therefore, I don't condone him for doing it, but I don't blame him.

Listen, people. When you're that big a guy, and you're confronting someone that much smaller than you, you can easily restrain them without having to acutally hit them.

If she was coming at him with a knife or something then I could understand, but what Austin did was just pathetic. I can't believe some of you are apologists for that.

Just because you like a worker doesn't mean you need to act totally sympathetic for them when they act like pure pond scum.

No apology needed, i should be mature enough not to implement personal issues into a general discussion. You make a good point, however i do know domestic violence is quite common within America. Maybe that is just because America is the most commercial country on the planet and everyone knows what goes on there...

In any event, i wasn't thinking when i stated that.

Add a one, and think centimeters instead of inches (which would coincide with Austin's 6' 4" height), and you got it.

That still doesn't justify BEATING her. I wish he would've been locked up, and been some bubba's bald-headed BITCH...

And I certainly don't care if I EVER see him on WWE tv again. His character was beyond stale, his promos were long winded and pointless, and his backstage shenanigans were juvenile...he took his ball and went home, like the spoiled lil' shit he is..

Quick question...does that mean he can't drink beer on TV if he comes back?

Umm, what do you think? Especially if he returns and he's still under probation?

They could always make him drink non-alcoholic beer...

Even so-called, "non-alcoholic" brews DO contain some amounts(around .05%) alcohol...the courts are usually VERY strict on things like this...besides, that whole canned-beer-spilling stuff is so late 90's...the gimmick is boring and old.

Yeah, but underage kids can buy 'non-alcho' beer. So I think that SCSA can drink that.

Actually, it would be funny if SCSA came out and was like. "I can't drink any real beer anymore because of the stupid government. But, I still like the taste, so I'll drink an O'Steve instead." Or something like that.

I suspect the reason Debra herself did not file charges against Steve Austin was because there was some definate verbal, emotional, and probobly physical provocation. It's been well-reported that Steve has wanted to retire for a long time, and have children. However, Debra refuses to lose her meal ticket, and won't "damage her figure" to have kids.

Combine that with the fact that she was probobly pissed at the walk-out, they have an argument, Debra crosses the line, Steve gets physicxal and flees the scene.

I'm not condoning Steve's actions: He is a representitive of wrestlers, and wrestling fans, and he should never be violent with another person. But to sit back here with this snobbish, Victorian attitude, (Use Your Illusion I'm looking at YOU) is completely uncalled for.
