Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted November 28, 2002 I'm interested in requesting a couple of music DVD's for Christmas, but I'm not sure which ones to get. I'm really into Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Incubus lately... anyone know anything good by those bands or bands with similar styles? Thanks.
Guest DARRYLXWF Report post Posted November 28, 2002 I want to try and get a copy of Iron Maiden's Rock in Rio. Does anyone here have it, and is it any good?
Guest Matt Young Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Well man, I have the Metallica- S & M video from a few years back, and it's great, so I'd recommend the DVD as well. Also, there is a list of Metallica DVDs at http://www.iq451.com/music/metallica-dvd.htm for future reference. As for Pearl Jam, Touring Band 2000 is amazing. Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 28, 2002 I have the Rock in Rio VHS and on CD. The concert itself is simply mind-blowing. If you like the band, you NEED a copy of this concert, be it CD, DVD, or VHS.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Metallica - Cliff 'Em All Metallica - Cunning Stunts Megadeth - Rude Awakening (from a show off Megadeth's FINAL tour) Dream Theater - Scenes From New York (the last live performance of the Scenes From A Memory album)
Guest DARRYLXWF Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Sounds like a good DVD then. I've heard that it cuts cameras a bit too much, is this true? Oh, and Metallica's Cliff'em all is awesome.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Yeah, the cameras tend to cut around a fair bit (Blame Harris), but they're in interesting places if nothing else. There's cameras on some of the guitars, fer chrissake's. But seriously...if you liked "Fear of the Dark" live, then you NEED this concert. You know how the fans all started catching on to the "Whoooa--whoooa-whoooa" kinda thingy on a few other live versions? Yeah. 250,000 people doing that. Awesomeness. And Bruce Dickinson singing Sign of the Cross. *Masturbates*

Guest kingkamala Report post Posted November 28, 2002 My tastes are (slightly) ecclectic: KISS: Live in Las Vegas Alice Cooper: Brutally Live Weird Al Yankovic: The Complete video collection. *dodges BB Gun pellets headed towards nuts thrown by metal fans and Kotzenjunge*

Guest Incandenza Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Though your average metalhead won't be into it, I can never pass up an opportunity to pimp the Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted November 28, 2002 Is Cliff Em All a live performance DVD? Cuz that's what I'm lookin for
Guest Addy Report post Posted November 28, 2002 I want the GWAR DVD = "The Ultimate Gwarchive". Shame you can only buy it at their shows though
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 28, 2002 If I'm not mistaken, Cliff 'Em All is actually a bunch of different shows, kinda tossed together. I saw it once a few years back, and that's what I remember. I doubt it's one long show.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted November 29, 2002 I second "Touring Band 2000" for Pearl Jam (if you don't already have it). They also have "Single Video Theory". I don't have it, nor have I seen it, but I've heard it's nothing special.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Touring Band 200 is definitely worth the pick-up. I had no idea that they had another DVD available. Now I must go to Crow's Nest. Also, Video Bank, Alice In Chains' video DVD is a great pick-up. There's classic old pre-Grunge glam footage in there, plus, the unedited version of "Rooster" is included.
