Yes, you are right. A good promo doesn't make a good worker, my bad. However, Raven has had more then 2 good matches. How about the only ***** match in ECW, who was in that? Raven.

Have you ever seen that match? I really have a hard time believing people think that's a ***** match. When I watched that stinker, I saw a sloppy crapfest that was overbooked to the point of being unwatchable. Also, don't worry about playing the "But there was so much story going into that match!" card, because there was a lot of story going into Hogan/Andre, and that match is a DUD on a good day.

I give it 1/4* for Raven's head going through the table, and nothing more.

Yes, I have seen that match before. And, I would give it *****. It isn't just because of the actually match itself, which was a pretty good ECW brawl, but yes the story. Andre/Hogan had a good story going in, but so does just about EVERY MATCH ON A PPV. You know, it is called a storyline...

The match had a bunch of stories in it. Tommy Dreamer finally getting his pin on Raven, 911 going out there and doing what he did. There are many more stories in that one match, but I am too lazy to watch it again, and I really don't care that much. If you want the story from Scott Keith

Personally, that match wasn't even **** IMO, close to *** if anything. Storyline doesn't really have anything to do with the match rating most of the time. What I saw was boatloads of interference, sloppy work by the Pitbulls, great storytelling, a screwy finish and an insanely hot crowd. Some good, some bad....not *****.

I remember watching that match for the first time on DVD. I had read that review and thought it was going to be great.

It was terrible.

It was entertaining due to the storylines running through it...but the match itself was a trainwreck.

I don't think the match deserves a bump in star rating because storylines that had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MATCH (Dreamer can't beat Raven, 911 finally chokeslams Alphonso) ran through it.

They should feed Batista to O'Haire so that he can lay his quasi-stiff kicks into him. O'Haire rules. Batista doesn't.

Ohaire is a frickin' monster. I totally mark for him! He should be called up from HEAT quick.

I have never seen O'Haire wrestle, other than his short stint during the Invasion angle. For the short time he was there, I remember him being a monster, but don't remember him really.

His he really as good as people say he is? I remember reading one of the reasons he was sent down to OVW was because Bischoff thought so much of him, that it was like a shove in Eric's face that a talent he thinks is good won't make it in WWE. However, Eric now works for Vince, so that should be put behind him. What's the deal with that? Does anyone know?

There were rumors that upper carders in the WWE *coughUndertakercough* shat on O'Haire, claiming that he was "too green."

I interpreted that to mean "talented enough to be a threat to my spot, so I must sabotage his career", but hey, that's my opinion.

So O'Haire get sent down to OVW to "train" *rolls eyes*, and has now worked his way up to Heat. Where he'll likely stay for a LONG time. I think it's kind of silly that O'Haire gets stuck on Heat, while guys like Maven & Nowinski (who, understandably, aren't nearly as experienced or talented as Sean) routinely get time on RAW, but whatever.

Bottom line: O'Haire IS a talent, and could become a viable part of the "WWE future", but he's NOT HOMEGROWN TALENT. He got his start in WCW, so he's pretty much fucked. They'll push Batista down our throats, and O'Hair will toil in semi-obscurity.

Guest Heel In Peril

Oh yes. Sean O'Haire is phatter! Definitely one of the most valuable talents in WWE today. I present nothing that backs up this thought. However, I must say that I don't mind too much that O'Haire isn't being pushed too hard in the WWE. At least he's not being used as poorly as they've been using half of their other excellent talent. <i.e.: Triple-H (for God's sake), Batista (IMO), Hurricane, RVD, Lance Storm, Dawn Marie (I know she's not a wrestler, but God damn it! Al Wilson???)> I'd like to see a build up to O'Haire vs Batista where just as they meet face to face in the ring for the first time they just shake hands and greet in the ring as old friends, hopefully bringing out some improved mic work in Sean about how they met in OVW or something and both know what it's like to have explosive potential yet still be held down in dead-end directions in the WWE. A team like that just might be what the Raw Tag Team Division could use. But what do I know? I'm not Triple H, more like a heel in peril. Man, I used to love that Hunter guy.

Nah, O'Haire totally needed some seasoning before making a full tilt run at the bigs. I do believe he basically was shot strait through the WCW Powerplant without any really proper training. He had a few good moves (the fireman's slam and the Seanton) but had a much worse grasp of the fundamentals than even Chuck Palumbo did at the time (which explains why Chuck stayed in WWE after the InVasion and Sean didn't).

This is indeed true. The one thing he probably learned in OVW was the basics of wrestling that he probably did not learn in WCW. It's too bad, though, that he's not able to do some of his high flying, martial arts moves in WWE. I guess management doesn't want him to outshine the ME'ers.

Batista and O'Haire as a tag team? That's a scary ass team to have set in front of you.

Is it me or shouldn't the tag ranks be twice as big as the singles ranks?

I think tagging is a good first step for any wrestler, since you only have to work half a match in theory. I think it's also more realistic to have less promos for tag teams since they can do more in their matches since they get to rest. Kinda?
