I don't really think this goes into site feedback, because it's a general question and not really site feedback. I don't know...

After you read an article on the 'net, what compells you to write back to the author? I'm simply asking because I've noticed that a few guys get hundreds of hits for their articles, but don't get much feedback, myself included.

Any reasons why you would or wouldn't write back?

It's cause I really don't have anything to say. I enjoy your NWATNA recaps a lot Dames but I never really have a question to ask or anything like that.

If you write something controversial you'll probably get a lot of feedback with people disagreeing with you.

Also, if you ask readers for ideas, they'll probably send them in. If you have an online 'reputation', lots of people will probably send you e-mails just to see your opinion on certain things.

I actually never send feedback. I'm just lazy I guess.

I've only ever sent feedback once...the writer expressed an opinion which showed his complete and utter lack of knowledge of the topic (saying that Lance Armstrong wasn't a real athlete because cycling wasn't a real sport) and thus was offensive to me, and I basically wrote to express the opinion that the writer was a complete and utter tool.

That's pretty much what it takes for me. I'm amazed I haven't done it more...but then, I tend to only read columnists that aren't complete and utter tools.

I read most of the articles on the site. But it's simply because of lazyness or not really having anything to say that I don't send any feedback. Plus, most of my feedback would probably be an insincere sounding "nice job" or something of the sort; or nitpicking about names of wrestling moves and grammar.

I never have much to say, personally. The only time I've responded to a column/report was to tell KingPK where that DX video was still for sale.

Yes, I am a helpful person. Psh.
