Guest BigPoppaKev Report post Posted November 29, 2002 This may be kind of dumb but oh well I am bored off my ass. What is your middle name and is there any meaning behind it? Mine is Michael and as far as I know my parents just picked a random name.

Guest Mole Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Mine is Thomas. It's funny, because that happens to be my Great Uncle's name on my Mom's and Dad's side. My parents just liked the name Thomas, kind of ironic, don't ya think?

Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Mine is Irene, and I think it's for an aunt or some other relative/person that my parents were fond of. The only reason my first name is Robin is this: ...because they couldn't think of a better name to go with Irene. Yup.

Guest SP-1 Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Harlan. Yep, that's right. HarlaN, with no f'ing "d" on the end. Legend has it that my dad got rather agitated with a nurse when the original birth certificate had a "d" on the end. Why? Who knows. I kinda wish I had been named after my father's obsession with Harlan Elison or something, but I'm not even sure if my dad had ever heard of the guy. I guess it's the writer in me, though. Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Here's one for you... My middle name is Cleary, after my grandfather. See, my grandfather's name was Gerald Cleary, and so those are my two first names. HOWEVER, my parents always wanted to call me Cleary, and Cleary Gerald didn't sound right, so I was named Gerald Cleary, and have always gone by my middle name. On the plus side, I've recently started signing things as "G. Cleary". Makes me feel important.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Eh, mine's is Ray. Oddly enough, I have a younger cousin who's middle name is also Ray and she has a mole(or beauty mark, whatever) pretty much in the same area on her face as I do. I always found that kinda creepy. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 29, 2002 I think you meant "your". And, Adam > Byron in the means of names.
Guest spiny norman Report post Posted November 29, 2002 What's wrong with Adam? Anyway, I'm about to beat you all, as I put down my three, that's right, THREE, middle names. Malcolm: the name of my paternal grandfather. Paul: my would-be Godfather if my parents were religious. My father's best friend, at any rate. Gregg: All people on my father's side have this as a middle name. Even one of my cousins, who is female, has Gregg as a middle name.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Adam > Byron in the means of names. Well Byron has a regal sound to it. So from now on refer to him as Looord Byron. On the other hand Adam...that is such a cracka ass crackers name. :runs away:

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Eric. It was going to be my first name, then my dad changed his mind (power trip perhaps?) and I got named after him, but kept Eric as a middle name. Only difference between my dad's name and mine is the middle name (he doesn't have one). So when I need to differentiate myself (i.e. signature, etc.) I just sign my middle initial. No way in hell I wanted to be called Junior or the Second. No problem around family, cause everyone calls my dad by his last name anyway so it's all good. Guest spiny norman Report post Posted November 29, 2002 Actually, I thought three names was excessive until I met someone with five middle names. Which'd be crap, especially if the names are all like Malcolm (everyone finds that soooo funny, Malcolm is the name of that snivelling little runty kid everyone would pick on at school who always had a runny nose. I HATE IT!!!)
