Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted December 2, 2002 Top 5-who I would invite to New York 1.QB-Carson Palmer USC. 36 TD (4 Rushing) 10 int. 3639 Yards against the toughest schedule in the country. IMO..He should win. The peformance against a good defense in Notre Dame sealed the deal for me. 2.QB-Brad Banks. Great season, and is leading Iowa back to the Rose Bowl. But Palmer's competition is just to good to overlook. 3.QB-Ken Dorsey. McGahee is the better player but Dorsey is more important to Miami. Third doesn't really make a difference. 4.RB-Willis McGahee. The best RB in the country, but RB is an overrated position in college. 5.RB-Larry Johson. Great numbers against bad defenses, did nothing against Iowa, Ohio St. and Michigan... but the numbers warrant at least a trip to New York. the 2nd 5. 6.QB-Jason Gesser 7.QB-Byron Leftwhich 8.QB-Kliff Kingsbury 9.WR-Rashaun Woods 10.DE-Terrel Suggs
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I'm going with Palmer. Carson proved how good he really is when he shredded a very tough Notre Dame D for 425 yards. Kingsbury, I think WAS a longshot until his last two games, wen he fell apart.
