Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I have pretty much an unbeatable one... I was at the Boston Raw a month back, and I was sitting in front of a family of stereotypical yokel marks, a breed that I thought was extinct. Bald goateed guy in a t-shirt and jeans, his wife (you can imagine what she looked like) and their too kids, both slightly overweight and in cheap K-mart clothes. The kids had made about a half dozen signs, and one of them made me seriously question why I was a wrestling fan. A week after the whole Katie Vick necro fiasco, this seven year old girl has a sign that says this: "I'm a Katie Too" I mean, what the fuck! Then her brother, who was maybe a year older, starts chanting for puppies BEFORE THE SHOW EVEN STARTS! And then there's the fourteen year olds I was sitting next to (I learned my lesson after this: NEVER go to a WWE show alone.) Fat idiots, the lot of them. The kid next to me, who weighed maybe 230 pounds or so, would make this weird "spanking" gesture every time a Diva video showed up on the screen. What's worse, nobody would pop for ANYTHING in my section. When I go to a wrestling show, I want to mark out dammit! I tried to join in on an "ECW" chant when Dreamer came out, but my section started looking at me like I was the weird one. One even started mocking me with a "WWE" chant under his breath. I'm about 5'10 1/2" and 175 pounds, and have often been mistaken for a wrestler at the indy shows I video crew for, and for a short fat needle-dicked mark to try and start shit offended me a little bit, and I "accidentally" popped him one after pretending to reach for my popcorn, that felt good in a petty sort of way (this one looked my age, 18-19, I'm not a child abuser). They'd also been disrespecting the dark match guys a lot, some of whom were friends of mine from a local indy, so that also pissed me off a lot. Thank G-d for Ring of Honor, best fans in indy wrestling, or I'd try and find something more dignified to be a fan of, like Star Trek or NASCAR. Anybody else want to vent? Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Alright, I got a story. I went to Survivor Series 2000 with my brother. There were two nerdy, college age guys sitting next to us who didn't even seem to be wrestling fans at all, as they gave absolutely no reaction to anything that happened during the show, and looked at us like we were idiots whenever we would cheer/boo or anything. And they got up about every 10 minutes or so and bought food. When the crowd started chanting for tables, the guy on the other side of me leaned over and asked, "Why are they saying 'We want cable'?" The worst though, was a 14 year old girl sitting directly behind me. Whenever a semi attractive male wrestler came out, she would give this shrill, piercing shriek. I mean, I've heard teeny boppers scream before, but this was so bad. And she'd keep this up through the whole match. It got so bad during the Hardys match I turned around and told her to shut up, and several other people voiced their agreement, but she wouldn't stop. It was like a drill going into your brain. She also had probably the worst sign I've ever seen, it had "Olympic Crybaby" scrawled across it, and a stick figure drawing of what I assume was Kurt Angle crying. And to top it all off, the show pretty much sucked.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Disrespecting the dark matches is part of the fun. When I went to MSG in January I heckled Brock and H20 Waterman. Anytime the match slowed down or anything like that I yelled: YOU CAN'T WORK WWF STYLE! VINCE WON'T LIKE THAT! But anywho- I've never really had any bad fans nearby. Even though I hated how at MSG for Survivor Series 2002 the fans chanted What during the Angle/Benoit skit
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Damn, you call that bad? That's nothing. At an indy show I worked just last Friday, a crazy guy in the front row actually hit a wrestler with his chair, hard enough to cut the wrestler's arm open.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 God damn Jingus- that's fucked up
Guest treble charged Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I was at an indy show where, after the show ended, a few hundred people rushed the ring and a few dozen actually got in and 'wrestled'. HHH was at that how, too, as Terra Ryzing, but I don't remember him at all. Saturn was there, too, and I don't remember him, either. Too bad.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Disrespecting the dark matches is part of the fun. When I went to MSG in January I heckled Brock and H20 Waterman. Anytime the match slowed down or anything like that I yelled: YOU CAN'T WORK WWF STYLE! VINCE WON'T LIKE THAT! I always try to be respectful for the dark match wrestlers. When I have gone they have been local guys trying to make an impression and a lot of time the crowd can really help to do that.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 When I went at MSG it was Brock, H20, Rico and Randy- it wasn't local guys so I figured might as well get them ready

Guest kingkamala Report post Posted December 4, 2002 When I last went to a WWE house show in July, there was this dorky boy about two rows back who was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying. For some reason the dorky kid LOVED Jamie Knoble so much and kept yelling really loudly during Hurricane-Jamie Knoble's match. The kid kept yelling TAKE HIM BACK TO THE TRAILAH PAHK(Gotta love the Maine accent) and GO BACK TO POWER RANGAH LAND HURRICANE!. The kid also yelled the worst insults at Chavo Guerrero, not as in hurtful insults but as in worst. The worst of which was CHAVO GUERRERO IS THE NEXT EUROPEAN CHAMPION! which makes no sense whatsoever but the kid was trying to insult poor Chavo for some reason. Guest JHawk Report post Posted December 4, 2002 The ones that annoy me are the sign carriers that take things too far. See, when I go to TV (or some indies), I bring some signs, and I'll hold them up at the show open or during an entrance or a promo. But once that bell rings, I show some consideration for the people behind me and keep them down. Hell, Hogan came out for a promo at the pre-WM Smackdown in Cleveland, and when I put up my anti-Hogan, the guy behind me asked me nicely to put it down (he said he paid to see Hogan), so no problem. Fast forward to King of the Ring. This one chick two rows in front of me had a Hogan sign and held it up at every opporunity. She had an RVD sign, and put it up at every high spot. So I'm already pissed because half of my pictures are of the back of a sign. Then we get to Hogan-Angle, and for some reason she doesn't realize that the cameras very rarely bother with signs during matches and keeps this freaking sign up for about three minutes straight. I ask nicely "Could you please put the sign down?" She just glares. The guy to my left waits about 30 seconds and does the same. He gets the same glare. So the guy next to me (who I just met at the start of the show) looks at me and goes "On three. 1, 2, 3..." And in stereo, we go "PUT THE FUCKING SIGN DOWN!" She flips us both off like we're the assholes because we'd actually like to see the show we paid 80 bucks apiece to see. Not to mention that my failed attempt at a "Hogan sucks" chant was met by a "Shut the fuck up" by this same broad who wouldn't let me see the fucking match in the first place. "Angle's the one who sucks." Sometimes I really hate the marks. Other than that, the one I was most bothered with was at an indy show. This one guy was wearing a hockey mask over his wrestling mask. During the match, the hockey mask falls off and hits the floor. Some little kid reaches underneath the rope and grabs the mask like it's a foul ball at Wrigley Field or something. The poor guy nearly got counted out trying to find the hockey mask before the kid's father finally convinced the kid to give the mask back.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 When I went to RAW in January there was a huge Edge mark (female) who kept going I love you Edge and we all laughed at her but she kept cheering for him. (MSG hates Edge for some reason) I was getting tired of her but out of nowhere REGAL!~ shows up and kicks the shit out of Edge. I go crazy as does the whole section and the girl was like in tears. It was great
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I went to Survivor Series 1995 and saw the most pathetic site. An older woman in her fifties went to the ppv alone. She was dressed in all black as she was a huge Taker fan. When he came out, she held up her foam urn she bought at the merch stand and yelled, "take me to the darkside Taker". I am not making this up. She was sad.
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I've had a few expariances with some annoying marks, but nothing horrible. -Thanksgiving SD 1999, Rochester, NY. A bunch of 10 year olds with one parents with them keep yelling to do it doggy style the whole show. -Local Indy Show Summer 2001 A big fat fuck 13 old Jeff Hardy marks claims he invinted the ladder match. -Raw after Invasion 2001, Buffalo, NY. A women behind me says "I can't beleive Stone Cold would do that, I had such faith in him". -Houseshow August 2002 Youngstown, Oh.- Crowd was alot of trash, but I didn't want to judge them just because they're kind of poor. Then, they give Big Show a bigger pop than for RVD. Fuck You Youngstown, go to hell!

Guest nikowwf Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I sat next to people during a Undertaker / Hogan match at house show at MSG (this year while UT was champ). I was sitting behind two super hogan fans, about 20-25 and one of the cried, yes cried when Hogan lost. (or UT got DQ'd or whatever the hell happened. niko
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Hey cool niko- I went to the same show. Hogan lost via chokeslam after Vince interference. If there was a really annoying Regal mark there- then I apologise
Guest treble charged Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Hardy Boy marks are the worst. I was at a house show in the winter for 2000 (either February or March, it was between No Way Out and WrestleMania that year), and there was this girl, holding up a sign during their match that said "Jeff Hardy is My Pack of Rainbow Skittles". She only put it down after someone threw their program at her. I'm convinced this is the same girl who, at Raw in October 2001, kept running past me (I had 4th row seats on the floor, on the aisle behind JR and Heyman) everytime someone came down, so she could snap some pictures. Guest HBK16 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 I hate people that put of their signs during matches. At a Raw, this girl about 2 rows in front of us wouldnt put hers down even after about 5 people complained to her about it. So my friend threw a dirty Kleenex at it and it forced her to put it down. behind her applauded him. It was great.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Oh yeah the last house show I went to there was this kid in front of me who kept asking my younger brother how much the programs were. After my younger brother told him how much they were for the fifth time how much they were the kid left. It was probably the third or fourth match of the show when the kid left and the kid came back near the end of the "exciting" semi main event of Rikishi-Test. He leaned over to my younger brother and asked" Where do they sell the programs?" *sighs* Not this is a bad experience but my mentioning of the Rikishi-Test match made me just remember it. The whole night there was this kid with Downs Syndrome wearing the type of goggles Brian Christopher wore during the Too Cool era. Anyway he wasn't TOO annoying he just bothered the hell out of this guy two rows in front of me who really marked out for Rico. But the thing was the whole match of Rikishi-Test was sort of centered around this retarted kid. Since Test "went after" the retarted kid before the match and Rikishi stopped him. I think the retarted kid bitch slapped Test but I'm not 100% sure(poor Test).
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted December 5, 2002 wow, never thought I'd live to see the day when someone typed "poor Test" on this board.

Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Report post Posted December 13, 2002 Raw: October 2001 (the one where Regal turned on Kurt Angle and joined the Alliance) : There were these annoying-as-hell frat guys sitting a row behind me and my friends. Before the show, I expressed my pissed-ness in there not being any of those blue Kaientai "Indeed" shirts at the merch stand. One of them, who's about a foot away, decided to yell, "Funaki's a faggot" right in my ear. I shrugged it off, though I knew I was going to have a bad crowd experience. Then, during the Island Boys (aka 3 Minute Warning)-Steve Bradley & Charlie Haas dark match, another one yells "Do the stinkface!" at Ekmo repeatedly. During the next dark match (Russ McCoughlah-Tommy Dreamer), the guy who yelled at me about Funaki kept asking to himself out loud, "Who's that fat guy with the t-shirt?" Finally, someone said, "He used to work for ECW." The frat guy replied, "What's ECW?" Yeah, that's right, even though he was a supposed WWF fan, he didn't know the name on one-half of the big heel faction. They stayed shut up during the Jakked tapings and Raw (besides when the Rock & RVD came out for their tag match, against each other) There was another mark at the same show who was decked out in RVD-gear, and, everytime RVD would get hit, she looked like she was going to cry. I did get a good laugh out of that. Anyway, after the show, as I'm trying to leave Conseco Fieldhouse in peace with my friends, they stop us and demand an answer as to why Regal turned. I told them to watch Smackdown. They then walked around the entrance to the building, pissed as hell, for twenty minutes.
Guest papacita Report post Posted December 13, 2002 1) Fans who chant "What?!" after EVERYTHING. Last show I went to, I almost got into a fight with people who wouldn't stop saying "What?!" 2) The random drunk guy that I meet at every show that tries to lecture me on the greatness of Hogan and Warrior...and occasionally Bossman. 3)... Announcer: In a few moments, we will begin our Sunday Night Heat tapings! Mark: What's Sunday Night Heat? 4) Female Hardy marks. Last time I went to a Smackdown (Jeff Hardy over HHH) I got caught between 2 of them...after that I stopped going to WWF shows alone.
