Worst mark experiences at live shows

I was at a show where Benoit was taking on the Undertaker, I was marking out to the max when Benoit was working Taker's leg out when I saw heads turning towards me.

SmackDown!-July 2K2:

I was sitting by A LOT of marks for this 1, but anyway, Kurt Angle came out for his match (w/"u suck" chants, I didn't chant along). Anyway, I cheered for him, and everyone thought I was stupid. This mark behind me kept yelling "Angle sux!", I kept yelling "He doesn't suck!", and it came to this:

Mark: "Angle sux!"

Me:"Why does he suck?"

Mark:"..."

Worst mark expierence comes from our own, Slingshot Suplex.

WCW house show in early 99, the show was only fun really cause we were marking out for Kidman and Benoit and yelling at little kids in front of us for not doing the same. We were alone in nosebleeds, just us except for some kids 10 rows ahead or so.

But the main event...World title match:

Flair © vs Hogan

Flair was the heel, Hogan was the face...typical match between the two...end saw Malenko, Benoit, and Arn do run ins and just get slaughtered by The Hulkster, it was almost funny by how absurd it was.

Slingshot goes into this string of vulgar anti-Hogan talk that would bring a tear to a Smark's eye.

It could have been funny had it ended there...but he kept it up on the way to the car while walking out through the building. "I fucking hate him!" and "I wish he would fucking die!" and countless others.

By this time I was looking over my shoulder for security cause I thought we were getting thrown out for sure and if that happened I had the feeling he would put up a fight, and I'd have to join in cause he's my ride in all.

With the exception of stares from parents and their frightened children alike nothing like that happened.

Now granted, I felt the same way about Hogan at that time...but damn, I kept it to myself

I was at Smackdown! in before Royal Rumble 2001 here in Chicago, and during a dark match, these kids, the must've been 12 or 13, were holding up Hardy Boyzzzzzz signs.

Now, not only were the Hardys not working at the time, it was a dark match(and it was pretty good too), and my view was obstructed. I had to yell "You're not on tv, put your fucking sogns down so I can actualy watch the match." I was mega pissed.

At a RAW in September of 2000, I watched a mother cover her son's ears when the crowd was chanting "Asshole!" and "We want puppies!' I'm thinking, "Why bring the fucking kid if you're going to cover his ears and his eyes up, then yell at my friends and I for starting chants?" What's the point?

Hmm well this is kind of a different story. When I was 9 I went to my first RAW. This was back when they taped them in small venues. Well I was of course a mark back then, not an annoying one though, and i loved Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Some teenagers behind me were smarks, suprisingly some did exist in 1995. When Bret is doing an interview their screaming at him that he's going to get his ass kicked by Isaac Yankeem and that Bret Hart sucked. Then they said something about HBK taking it up the ass. I know this is about marks being annoying but it made me think back to when I was a mark.

Disrespecting the dark matches is part of the fun.

When I went to MSG in January I heckled Brock and H20 Waterman. Anytime the match slowed down or anything like that I yelled:

YOU CAN'T WORK WWF STYLE!

VINCE WON'T LIKE THAT!

 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh my god, THAT would have been a laugh right there.

The worst experience i've had was when WCW came to Australia where i too learned that you should NEVER go to a wrestling event alone.

I had this moron seated next to me who bent over and asked me, about half way through the show, "When is the Rock coming out?".

....no joke, this guy PAID to see...you guessed it, THE ROCK at a WCW show...

Illusion - Has had his fair brush with retards

1) Fans who chant "What?!" after EVERYTHING. Last show I went to, I almost got into a fight with people who wouldn't stop saying "What?!"

 Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Wait!

This is 95' and they were "Smarks," Booing Bret & Shawn? Who the Hell were they there to see, Diesel and Mable? Something doesn't sound right.

Anyway, The worst was this year at the First Raw of the Split. "What's" were in Full effect, which get VERY Annoying live. That's not the worst part though. My Brother and I get to our seats, row 8 on the floor, and there is these 3 young female Hardy marks a few seats over from us and these two young female RVD fans two rows in front me of. BUT, there was 5 funny ass guys right behind us and they were just ripping apart the babyfaces to piss people off So I starting hanging and talking to them and getting in on all the fun.

Brock Lesnar comes out and Destroys the Hardy Boys, were going nuts and cheering on Brock, pissing off the little girls around us.

RVD gets attacked by the Returning Eddie Guerrero, were going nuts chanting "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie" pissing off the RVD marks around us. Plus, RVd faced (Heel) Booker T so we were cheering on Booker All match anyway.

Doesn't sound bad right? Sounds like fun?

Well, then the worst happen. These 5 Guys who I was hanging with all night, having just a fun time with, TURNED ON ME!!!!!

Triple H (Babyface) Comes out to the ring and they, just like every other jackoff in the Arena was Cheering him.

<Me> You like Triple H? Why, he sucks? He killed Jericho

<Them> No Way, dude! Triple H is Awesome

<Me> How is he Awesome?

<Them> Just look at him, he's a Badass.

<Me> ::Under my Breath:: bastards!

Last house show I went to there was a retarded person sitting behind us who did running commentary all night long, saying things like "It's Tazz!" and "He threw him out of the ring!" I voted him second place in the "Best Announcer" catagory in the RSPW awards.

Same show, two little kids a few rows in front of us were dressed as Kane and Hulk Hogan and were "wrestling" all night long. Sadly, they were infinitely more entertaining then some of the matches.

This isn't an annoying mark or anything but I went to the Smackdown before No Mercy and this guy kept yelling after every break:

TAZZ KILLED KATIE VICK!

TAZZ IS A MURDERER!

YOU SUPLEXED HER INTO THE GRAVE!!

A lot of people were annoyed but I thought it was hilarious

I had one kid behind me once that had a foghorn and blew it right near my ear. He only did it once because I turned around grabbed it out of his hand and as I went to get food threw it in a random trash can. He wasn't very happy with me.

My neighbor is pretty bad to go with too. She is one of those Hardy, Rocky, Test marks that likes them because they are "hot" and like someone earlier said, this girl has one of those high pitched screams that only dogs can hear. I know its really bad, but my brother and I point her way from us and into so other poor soul's ear.

Crowd turns rule!

Back sometime late 80's.......NWA does a house show in Saginaw,Michigan and 2 of my friends and I road trip up there.First match is Brian Pillman vs some anonymous masked guy.Standard fare...Pillman starts off hot ,makes the critical mistake of going for a splash and masked guy gets the knees up...blah blah blah.

The next night, the NWA goes to the Pontiac Silverdome with,of course, the same opening match. The three of us are 3rd row ringside booing the hell out of masked guy.....givin him crap about losing the night before and he's arguing with us. They get to the spot where Brian does the splash and we are yelling at him "Don't do it,Pillman!!" " Remember what happened last night!!"

Naturally,Brian doesn't listen and gets the kness in the abdomen. So we do a heel turn and start ripping on Pillman for being an idiot and cheering everything masked guy does. Masked guy stops his offense long enough to look out at us and just shake his head.

Brian does his babyface comeback and gets the pin and we are up screaming everything from foot on the ropes to tights to hair and any other standard heel complaint we can think of. Funnest opening match ever. That and the leprachaun dude from the Flint ECW house show.

There was this one time at the North TN State Fair in the summer of '99 were they were having this wrestling show for only for $5. So seeing how me and my friend Jake loved to see some live wrestling no matter what fed it was and seeing the very low price decided to go. Oh boy was it fun.

When we got there it was wall to wall rednecks. No joke. I mean everywhere you looked there was a bunch of inbred hicks that looked and smelled like they haven't bathed or brushed their teeth in weeks. And it seemed like most of them were wearing overalls. Me and my friend and this nice little family setting next to me seemed to be the only "normal" looking people their. In fact my friend had the good luck to sit next to this big ass, hairy dude. He told me later that during the match he felt a pinch on his right side and when he looked over the guy gave him a big old smile which scared the hell out of him.

Anyways, the matches go on which were ok, I guess, for the $5 we paid. But, more it seemed most of the wrestlers were hicks to. In fact one of the fat wrestler's outfit was overalls with no shirt and a confederate mask that seemed a few sizes small for his fat head. And the female valet they had look like she'd been around the block more then Sunny. But, anways, the matches were ok and since it was outside and their was no guardrail or thing the wrestlers would like some of the fans interact in the matches. Like be at ringside for the match and support the wrestler, jaw with the heel manager, etc.

But, here's the real kicker all night the fans are really into the matches, I mean REALLY into almost to the point of jumping into the ring and wanted to beat up the heels. During this one match the guy gets busted open and bloods quite abit and loses the match. So, anyways he doesn't so the ref and some other people checks on him. And he had to be carried away. So, while all of this is going on most of the fans are all talking how it's fake and how he really didn't get hurt, etc. Which we thought was strange seeing as how a few minutes ago they wanted to kill the guy who did.

I don't know I thought was strange anyways. Well I have a few more mark stories I might tell later on.

Mine isn't that bad, but it's funny.

I was on vacation in late November to see my best friend in Massachusetts (see my sig). We went to his show, and Brian's biggest fan were these little 8 or 9 year old kids in the front row, completely marking out for him. So, we were just fucking with the kids, doing the "See, Brian Fierce? He's hittin' Rush Barlow with a closed fist. That's illegal."

Kid: "Shut up, Rush has been cheating the whole match"

Me: "Well, Barlow was (sorry Bob Barron) the last European Champion, and the best one ever."

Kid: "No he wasn't! Your lying!"

Me: "No, I'm serious, he's just sold the belt to get money to buy some boots"

Kid: "Your lying"

Me: "Nah. See! He just hit a Southern Comfort Double Underhook Exploder Superplex Slam! That's the finisher! He's got him beat!"

Ah, maybe not funny to all, but it was funny watching the kid give us crap when Brian won the title. Quality stuff.

Not really an mark story, but my friend and I went to Unforgiven 2000. We were both more or less smarks by this time, except he was a big HHH mark. Anyway, he did the HHH water spit when he was making his entrance for his match with Angle and spit all over the guys sitting next to us. It was pretty funny.

I remember when I went to the UK No Mercy PPV. My and my friend were sitting facing the ring a few rows up and we were sitting in front of three old people. They hated wrestling and complained about all during the show. I don't why the fuck they were there? Must have got tickets to the wrong thing I suppose. Anyway, near the start Tony Chimel came out and told us to wave our sings around when the show started. So we did and then one of the old people told us to sit down and be quite. I swear I felt like punching this old codger right in the mouth. I mean what the fuck? He complains before the show goes on and then tells us to sit down when everyone is waving their signs. That thing really pissed me off.

Houseshow August 2002 Youngstown, Oh.- Crowd was alot of trash, but I didn't want to judge them just because they're kind of poor. Then, they give Big Show a bigger pop than for RVD. Fuck You Youngstown, go to hell!

OMG, I was at that show (check the archives for the on-site report), and my entire group was in shock! Maybe they remember back when he threw a dropkick against Sting at the WCW house show in 1996.

LOL! I was supposed to go to that show but when my buddy and I saw the card the day of, we decided to skip the road trip and stay home. Tickets were as expensive as a Raw/Smackdown show. Zoiks! I believe the average mark would have recognized about 4-5 names on that card.

That Unforgiven match was pretty boring though.

I'm going to ROH next week- I kinda wanna act like some annoying WWE mark but I realise I prob won't be able to keep it up

When I went at MSG it was Brock, H20, Rico and Randy- it wasn't local guys so I figured might as well get them ready

Not too bad a dark match...got it on my computer.

My advice is to wear a some kind of WWE shirt and ask everyone when Triple H and Kane are going to come out. And then pretend to cry when they tell you the answer.

At the RAW house show last week in Fort Myers...

Jericho comes out for his match with Test and I, of course, am going crazy since he's my favorite wrestler and everything. Then this 12 year old who's standing at the barricade right next to me (i had front row seats) looks at me and says:

Kid: You like Chris Jericho?

Me: Yeah, he's the greatest wrestler in the world today! (slight exaggeration, of course :))

Kid: *looks like he's going to say something really serious* Well, you know how he calls everyone else "Assclowns"? The truth is, HE'S THE BIGGEST ASSCLOWN OF ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me: ... ... ... um, ok.

Then I can't stand the people that wait before/after the show for autographs. For example, Regal's getting ready to leave the show, and people start chanting "Regal Sucks" (not me, don't worry, Bob ;)), but then a couple minutes later everyone starts saying "Regal, can you give us your autograph, please?" One guy even went so far as to say "Hey, we pay your salary, you prick!" And at that time I was pretty embarrassed to be standing there with those people. I mean, you just tell the guy he sucks, and NOW you want his autograph! WTF?
