Godfather was rumoured to go to WWA as a part of the Steiner deal but is not with them at the moment. His release comes as a bit of a surprise to me given that he is a close friend of 'Taker and 'Taker has been said to always look out for Charles Wright throughout his career. Scotty Too Hotty. Now, his release (if true) is not much of a surprise to me, but the manner in which it has been done is interesting. He is injured long-term at the moment, and WWE tends not to release wrestlers when they are injured (they wait until they are fit again and then release them i.e. Perry Saturn). I'd have liked him to be in the Crusierweight division and he has a ready made feud with John Cena when he returns given Cena's gimmick. However, this could be just a move to make Scotty a free agent when he returns....

Of course, they did release Sharmell while she was out injured so who reall knows. I wonder what the Godfather will do with himself if he is in fact released.

Godfather and Scotty will still be able to make a living on the Indy circuit so let them go. Hell WWA will sign any garbage WWE releases so I'm sure they'd be all over Godfather.

He wasn't a bad worker, the worm put me over the edge on hating him though...I mean he pinned people with a chop. Actually I thought they released him a while ago. Simmons...ehhh, I really don't see a place for him right now. Maybe a road agent is best for him. Godfather...they should have never brought him back to the gimmick after the RTC. He's done.

It's not like the WWE to release a man while he is that injured I would be surprised about the Godfather as he probably isn't happy about getting sent on the WWA tour. Ron Simmons days in the ring are numbered anyway so I think it would be cool if he was now a road agent. He's been in the business long enough.
Guest franchise632 Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 They may have taken Scotty's name down but are likely still paying him being that he had the Austin/Benoit/Rhyno neck surgery. Once he is fully healed maybe he would be let go from his contract.
