Guest teke184 Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Regardless of how the "should" have done the match. I'm not going to get all overly......"oh my God HHH kept wrestling" cause it happens all the time. Most of the roster is probably working through injuries on a daily basis. I have a general respect for all wrestlers for that reason. But that doesn't erase the fact that I still think HHH is an asshole. True, however name one wrestler that is currently working through a crushed trachea. That shit is serious, and for a person who, at the time, would have seriously feared for their OWN life to keep on working through a match to appease the boss and his vision of the outcome shows serious dedication and determination. Illusion Crushed trachea my ass... it was a swollen throat and that's it. If he weren't so overly bloated due to steroids, he wouldn't have been so blown up at the end of the match and needed an oxygen tank afterwards. And if Trips feared for his own life so much, why not take the pin and get treatment? I'm sure Vince would MUCH rather have HHH come back and have a match with HBK down the road than drop dead in a feeble attempt to make it to the end of the match. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2002 It wasn't a crushed trachea!!! It turned out to be a swollen throat. They used the crushed trachea thing as a storyline since it was originally thought to be one.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Crushed trachea, swollen throat, its all the same... As for the ultra intelligent individual who stated this... "And if Trips feared for his own life so much, why not take the pin and get treatment? I'm sure Vince would MUCH rather have HHH come back and have a match with HBK down the road than drop dead in a feeble attempt to make it to the end of the match. " Well i don't know, you know why? BECAUSE IM NOT TRIPLE H. Illusion
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 6, 2002 He let his push go to his head and acted like he was better than everyone else. Kind of like JAckie from Tough Enough 2. Bullshit. You know, and I know that the entire locker-room is jealous of the push Brock got. The WWE locker-room is rapidly becoming like WCW with all the envy and back-stabbing. Guest Brian Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Actually, the SmackDown locker room last I heard has a real good atmosphere. Last story I heard was a real nice piece about how Chavo is watching over Eddy and the entire locker room is going above the call of duty to take care of him, not talk about drinking or partying or anything, and just keeping out of trouble. Angle had a big head too, so what's the big deal. He still has quite the ego.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Angle had a big head too, so what's the big deal. He still has quite the ego. The whole "Hanging out with jobbers" thing kind of shows that he doesn't think he's better than everyone, like Brock does. Mr. lesnar seems to forget that back in August, he was handed that title on a silver platter despite doing nothing to earn it and it was earned through none of his own merits. (Except maybe being big and having potential.) House show attendence is in the trash, ratings are plummetting (Not his fault, mind you, but if it was the opposite, he could legitamately take credit) so where the fuck does he get this attitude from? Guest Brian Report post Posted December 6, 2002 It's hard to determine who's fault all that stuff is really, because the WWE would have pulled in a higher profit then the quarter before except for the two lawsuits. The thing about Angle is just how he regards himself when he talks. He's still got hints of that big head he had earlier.

Well, AS I think you just proved the Lesnar detractors wrong. I mean, Angle was described as "egotistical, ungrateful, etc." when he was being pushed to the moon, and now when he's a main eventer who has "earned it" in the minds of the boys, he's Jimmy Stewart from "It's a Wonderful Life". Those guys are jealous of the spot Brock was given. We've seen no evidence to prove otherwise. Just third-hand heresay from the Torch.

I'm not blaming him. I'm saying that if business was up, maybe he'd have a reason to have a big head.
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Of course their jealous. That's natural. But from any reports of the locker room, SmackDown has been in good shape compared to RAW.

Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Who cares as long as they back it up in the ring? I've heard Rock has been known to have a "Big Head" but it doesn't affect him in the ring and with working (and putting over) others. Someone like Billy Gunn too. I've read stuff in the past how he's one of the biggest Assholes. But, He'll go on "Heat" and bump & sell and give some green Rookie and good match.

I must have missed all those times it occured. I didn't mean a Good match like Benoit Vs Eddie. I mean a decent enough match you can have with a Green OVW guy or someone getting a try out with the Company. Gunn's selling was pretty much crap, but the guy did bump a lot and take pretty much everyone's moves. Even rookies. Where as Saturn or Rikishi & Demott now, just No-Sell everything and refuse to go on the Defense.

Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted December 6, 2002 TRUE. The VHS of that PPV had a great post-match Benoit interview where he trashed Gunn's gimmick and added "ever since I lost this belt, it's gone downhill".
