Let's discuss RVD once and for all in every way...

RVD, RVD, RVD, RVD...

...the fans chat it at live shows, the majority of internet fans wish for him to be pushed, and still, nothing happens. It is rare for the casual fans and the net fans to agree on something, so there MUST be something here with RVD.

However, will they ever truly push him seriously to the World Title? As I said in my previous post, I somewhat doubt it. Have it be because of his lack of ticket selling promo cutting, lack of facial expresion in his promos, lack of constant selling throughout matches, or whatever, I highly doubt it. I feel they will give him the World Title, sure they will, but it will not be in the way you all want. It will simply be a transistion, a bridge, and a fluke. I do not think he will EVER be pushed seriously to the Main Event...

...I feel he is doomed to be nothing more than a side story, a bit of other big angels, much like he was in the HBK/HHH encounter.

Hell, if Paul Heyman didn't give RVD the title that ECW fans craved for him to win, their World Title, what makes you think Vince McMahon will give in and make him a serious World Champion in WWE, THE most famous, most prestigous, most craved championship in the world (ok, that may be pushing it but you get the idea.

I am begining to look at RVD like a certain Curt Henning, you know, Mr. Perfect. Both of these guys are full of talent, and just like RVD is now, Mr. Perfect had a "different" type of style not seen in Main Events back in his day. Mr. Perfect was a guy that many fans craved to see win the championship (even though he was a hell, fans wanted to see him win it just to be beaten for it), just like fans crave RVD to win. Mr. Perfect was never truly anything more than a side story for the Main Events, and never really had his shining moment over the big one, and I fear RVD will fall into this whole.

Perhaps a comparison to Henning isn't the best I could come up with, but, again, I'm sure you get the picture. The point, is I just don't see it happening, no matter how much fans want it. If things keep going the way the are, the fans will begin to realize he'll never reach the top in any type of true role. Then, week after week, you will be hearing less and less...

...RVD, RVD, RVD...

...RVD, RVD...

...RVD...

...*nothing*...

...and then perhaps, Mr. McMahon will be happy, don't you think?

I think he needs to murder and then fuck the dead corpse of a young girl...

That is an instant popularity getter and soon enough he will be world champ!

RVD is the perfect secondary champion that there was, is, and will every be.

Heel Turn! Heel Turn! Heel Turn!

"dude whatever, I am a F'N face the marks chant my name, you hear that (RVD RVD RVD RVD) they will never boo me cause I am the Whole F'N Midcard, I make the Main Event brawlers look boring in comparson to what I do, my spots pops the crowd, SH!T I help the merchandise sales by making the marks buy 2 bigASS foam thumbs.....RVD is the Whole Dam Package."

RVD still needs a manager and matches vs cruiserweights and vs stiff fighters are always entertaining.

"Hey dude, don't be angry at me, stay cool, it's cool, really. It's always cool when you're RVD"

That would be his outstanding heelish ticket selling promo!

I stand by my words:

By the time he gets the belt, no one will give a shit.

The guy is crazy over, but his promos aren't great. Hmmm sounds familiar......I think they let a guy like that run with the ball for awhile. His name was Hogan. Hogan's promos were laughably bad, but he was crazy over, had a limited moveset, but could work a crowd into frenzy.

RVD is crazy over, has a little more of a moveset than Hogan, can work a corwd into a frenzy, and his promos are laughably bad at times too, but I liked his promos on HHH from around Unforgiven. The "Mr. Muscle Fittness" one was pretty amusing.

But...if they don't do something soon it could be too late. Sooner or later after being buried for awhile you have no hope of being world champ. Could you ever see Jericho becoming champ again? Not anytime soon atleast. Not with how much his credibility has been shot in the marks' eyes.

While he still isn't amazing with a mic, RVD can be and has been alot better giving promos than he has been able to show in WWe.

His ECW mic work wasn't that bad. I loved how he would torment Sabu. He was a cocky bastard and played it very well.

The Manager of Champions helped feed RVD those lines, Daddy-O

Calling it down the middle, baby

If WWE wants RVD's promos to improve, turn him heel. His mic style and in-ring work is PERFECTO for the cocky-heel role. Just have him turn on HBK or something. I dunno. Even sign Bill Alphonzo to manage Mr Monday Night, Mr. PPV, RVD.......classic stuff from back in the day *sheds a tear*

Inconsistent pushes and too many teased elevations have made fans apathetic to the entire idea.

I know that everyone would like to use the RVD/Shawn title match as a verbal wipping device for HHH and his usual antics, but even if he hadn't done the run-in, and Rob had gotten the clean pin, it would still provide for a pretty flat moment.

I'm pretty much in agreement that they need to start all over with Rob. Right now, most people just don't seem to care, and with good reason. You can only give the fans blue balls so many times before they stop getting their hopes up and just change the channel to something that gives them what they want.

Well his lack of talking skills seriously limits his ability to crossover as the next mainstream star and I think thats what Vince is looking for right now

Either way I've always expressed my dislike of RVD's ringwork so I can't say I'm upset about it

RVD can't be heel. He was supposed to be one during the invasion, but his moveset pops the crowd too much.

Well i guess we don't have any choice, because Vince doesn't see RVD as championship material and definitely he doesn't want to ush Booker for the obvious reason so i guess HHH should be the RAW champ forever.

Yeah that's what i was talking about. He was allowed to say more in ECW and his promos were alot better than they have been in WWe.

Sure his promos weren't anything amazing, but they were good enough that it shouldn't be that big of deal. It's not like he's Test and has never shown an ounce of charisma.
