Do you guys ever wonder "what if" one of us died?

Have you ever sat back and wondered where someone has been for a long time after not posting? I mean, they could be dead for all we know, if you know what I mean. Have you ever just wondered "what if" one of our fellow posters died, and how it's possible that none of us would ever know about it?

I dunno, perhaps I'm just in a morbid mood, but I have a valid point I think.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I think if I went weeks at a time without posting a Raw recap, you could probably figure it out.

More to the point, anyone wonder if this has actually happened yet? I mean, we do have a lot of registered people...

It's quite possible, and the odds are quite favorable for this to be true. Hmmmmmmm...

...who hasn't posted in a while?

I wonder if anyone thought I had died over the summer when I disappeared.

Well, I'll put it in my will that if I die any time soon, I'll have someone post on here and say that I in fact died.

Actually that kind of did happen. My friend who introduced me to this board recently passed away under a pretty shitty set of circumstances. He didn't have a chance to give me his username or tell me if he even actually was registered. I didn't think of asking and I guess he didn't think of telling. The only things he told me was that he'd been here for a few months and a mention about Anglesault. Now that I think about, it makes me laugh that he would mention that. Anyway, I'm sure if he did post you guys would've liked him... he was cool.

Sorry to hear that, Moss.

And, as an aside, this has kind of already happened in grand dramatic fashion...

Actually, I thought that the CIA had seen the State stuff and had kidnapped you, since they saw it as a threat to democracy, or something stupid like that.

If someone posts a Regal sucks thread and I'm not there to defend him-

I've probably died or just watched his series of matches with Jeff Hardy

Thanks. Could someone please explain what the death of Highspot was?

Actually, a poster died on the 411 board a few months ago. I remember reading something about it when I was lurking around there. I never talked to the guy or anything, but apparently he was pretty well-liked in the E-Fed circles there.

CWM isn't around......

If he's dead than he's dead!

All I know is Highspot is now Crufixico Jones. Maybe something about CJ acting like Highspot was dead, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah, pretty much. Back on the EZBoard, on either the early morning of September 11 or the late night of September 10 there was a post by Highspot that said it was from his wife claiming he died in an electrical accident. If you looked at all the stuff she said, it would be quite hard to believe that he had died, she had gone to the hospital, they made sure he was dead, and everything else, then came back home to post this for the board, even though he just posted a few hours before. CJ showed up right after this, in the very same thread.

When I stop posting here, I want everyone to assume I died. Mourn my passing by dedicating threads in my honor. In fact, dedicate an entire folder in my name.

I think if I stopped posting, stopped showing up for my SWF stuff and wasn't on IM for an extended period of time, they'd just assume and name a title after me.

Of course, I don't post enough in the rest of the folders for anyone else to care.

I could have died on Thursday and no one would have known. My roommates are under the impression that I'm a heavy sleepy, when I am actually the opposite. When they knock on my door, I don't always answer, so they think I am a heavy sleeper. I never mention the fact that they don't always answer their doors when I knock either. One of my roommates went so far s to say that someone could sneak into my room and kill me. He was under this impression because people go into my room when I'm sleep, but don't see me wake up the second the door opens. When people come into my room, I wake up as soon as the door opens, but I just don't acknowledge their presence. My philosophy is, "get what you need and hurry up and get the fuck out." I don't need to waste time greeting anyone if I'm trying to sleep. Anyway, I was having an intense dream on Thursday which involved me running for my life. I was climbing up poles and shit to get away from some unknown pursuer. The dream was about to reach its climax when the door opened up. I woke up from my dream and heard, "I'm sorry, Kevin's asleep." The door closed and I was sitting in the dark damn near having a heart attack. I was just sitting there clutching my chest while my heart felt like it was about to explode. The thing is, if I would have had a heart attack, nobody would have known because everyone in the house thought I was asleep. My dead body would have gone undisovered for days.

Maybe I'm in the minority with this opinion, but if someone I only know in passing from an internet message board dies, I'm not exactly going to cry myself to sleep over it. They might as well have been a stranger.

You mean to tell me you wouldn't give me the Johnny Unitas treatment?

I highly doubt anyone here would notice if I left, or died for that matter. :(
