Guest Hybrid420 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 1)Five Star Frog Splash 2) Swanton 3) Shining Wizard ( not exactly a finisher but God I luv that move) 4)Vertebreaker 5)Test Drive 6)Shooting Star press 7)Overdrive 8)Atomic legdrop...lmao nah Im kidding, thats it
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 The overdrive is TERRIBLE. Just go into SM4, and watch it in the create mode. Unbelievable. It doesn't do anything. The stunner (or maybe the diamond cutter) is the perfect finisher. Anyone, anywhere, anytime. Of course, for wwe that doesn't count. I think my favourite at the moment is gah, i dunno, the unprettier?
ChrisMWaters Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Even though it's rarely employed... ~VERTIBREAKER! Will bend your spine...VERTIBREAKER! Does the trick every time!~
Guest converge241 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 I like the rock bottom very simple but effective F5 Last Ride Victoria's is nice but seems more than its worth to waste on the womens division
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 F5, Pedigree and Stunner.
Secret Agent Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 well no finishers pop the crowds like a stunner or a people's elbow.
Guest razazteca Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Stevie-T Vertebreaker Liontamer Bookdust double team move ***** Frog Splash El Paso Lasso Cross Face Angle Slam 2002 Hurricana Halo
Guest phoenixrising Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 F5 Tiger Bomb Crash Landing Shooting Star Press Five Star Frog Splash whatever the name of Victoria's is (Spinal Shock???) Pedigree...only true "one shot one kill" finisher now
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 whatever the name of Victoria's is The Widow's Peak (according to JR)
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Havent seen one of these "best finisher" threads on here in a while. F5 ***** Frog Splash uh.. thats about it..
Guest creativename Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Lionsault. Even though it only hits about 10% of the time and might very well be the least credible finisher in the company...I still love that move.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 well no finishers pop the crowds like a stunner or a people's elbow. The ***** Splash got close because when he hits it, 90% of the time... IT'S OVER. The F-5 is getting close too because it looks cool, and because no one has kicked out of it yet.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I don't like the frog splash cos climbing the turnbuckle and then hitting it AND always getting the pin just bugs me. There's no suspense.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I mark for Regal's Power of the Kick (copyright me) I really dislike chokeslams, especially as finishers.
Guest AndrewTS Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 The overdrive is TERRIBLE. Ditto. They chose to give that move to Orton but not freakin' kick-ass looking 3.0? Morons. The move does nothing, is hard to set up, isn't credible, and screams "innovative overblown indy-wrestler inspired move that doesn't look as effective as a simple existing move would be." Stevie-T rawks, though. It's somewhere between a regular Double Arm and the awesome Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Ma'am.
Guest Goodear Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 In no particular order... Edge-a-cution Tombstone Piledriver Baldo Bomb 619 Reverse Gory Bomb
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I'm still all about the Crippler Crossface as well as the Eddy G Frog Splash.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Bookdust double team move That would be the Heat Seeker, resembling the old Hart Attack, but with a jumping side kick instead of a clothesline. Born during the original Harlem Heat days. I was a major mark for that move and am glad to see it again.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 The Gorybreaker Victoria uses is bad as hell. Victoria using it is another story. Five Star Stevie's double arm Lo-Down (put D'lo on Raw damn you!) Crossface, especially when it's used as a counter I still don't like Brock, but F5 is getting there because, let's face it, he can pick up Show without breaking a sweat. I agree with whoever said Pedigree is the only insta-finish anymore. Wonder why that is... As for the Vertebreaker, if they brought back the Vertebreaker song and dancers, Helms would be champ in two months.
Guest razazteca Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 3D gets a major pop whenever the Dudleys set up the move.
Guest jester Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 As much as I hate you know who, I do like the Pedigree as a finisher. I hear that it used to look much sicker though, where instead of dropping you on your face it looked like you were dropped on your head, crushing your neck and spine...
Guest Quik Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Sharpshooter Jester currently has the best sig here.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I hear that it used to look much sicker though, where instead of dropping you on your face it looked like you were dropped on your head, crushing your neck and spine... *sigh* Here we go again: HHH NEVER used that version. He was facing some jobber in 95 or something and his opponent sold it wrong. Instead of landing face first, he tried to sell it like a pildedriver. It looked sick, but wasn't scripted. And I agree that the Pedigree is a great finisher. Any frogsplash does the trick for me. Tombstone Piledriver. It's not currently used, but I always loved it.
Guest Redhawk Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Favorites among current WWE wrestlers ============================= Pedigree 5-Star Frog Splash 3-D Test Drive (I know it doesn't DO anything, but it looks cool) Rock Bottom Crippler Crosface F-5 Old-school ======== Macho Man elbow Spear + Jackhammer Sweet Chin Music Tombstone
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 What's the Test Drive? Is it the same as the Overdrive? Come to think of it, what's the Overdrive?
Guest DragonflyKid Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 The Pedigree is not a great finisher, it looks weak because HHH releashes his opponents arms way too early. If it was executed right it would look much better. I like Batista's Sit-down Powerbomb as he delivers it with a great deal of impact, but I wonder if he'll be able to hit as stiffly on the main-eventers instead of jobbers. The F-5 looks good, one of my favorites. The ***** Frogsplash is cool looking but has lost it's luster. RVD needs a new, credible finisher. His problem is his weak strikes and lack of power moves. How is he going to look credible in main-events with his style? I dislike the glorified brawling style the WWE employs but RVD's style still looks out of place. D-Lo Riding Bomb is great, I wish they'd push him though. I hate Bradshaw but I love stiff Lariats so his finisher gets a vote.
Guest Goodear Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 The Overdrive is that swinging rocker dropper looking thing that Randy Orton and Elix Skipper use. The Testdrive is a reverse DDT into diamond cutter thing that Reno, Christopher Daniels, Nova and Test use.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 The Pedigree is not a great finisher, it looks weak because HHH releashes his opponents arms way too early. If it was executed right it would look much better. That's a given. I don't think we're envisioning these moves botched or anything. If we were using HHH's super-safe-pedigree-of-DOOM that used on HBK when he turned heel this Summer, it sure as hell wouldn't be on anyone's list.
Guest Goodear Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Yeah, the pedigree back in the Greenwich BlueBlood days was wicked cool. Hunter got the perfect amount of lift back in the day ... its what made his version so much better than Sick Boy's.
