Nice show, for all the supposed no-showing and delays. Exciting main event featuring a TRIANGLE CHOKE~! victory, big wins all around...and what the hell? Annie takes showers with the Carnies? Well, bloody hell, forget retirement then.

Frost and Flesher on dueling paths towards the world title is great stuff. I'm kind of getting a Benoit/Angle vibe out of them, but better because their styles of fighting and general attitudes are so different. Some very subtle stuff going on in those promos...

...and Frost/Thugg, the centerpiece of this show, reminds me of the grand Apostle/Thugg showdown that never happened. Hopefully these two will get around to it sometime not too far off.

The Magnificent Seven looks towards the top, and the Carnies and Thugg seem ready to oppose them and try to hold their ground. Some things never change...

Um... I don't know what's up with the shower bit, but to allay all fears, Annie is still the lesbian you all know and love. Sorry, CIA.

To Ash a.k.a. Michael. Congratulations, you finally did it. I would have preferred not being a punching bag for nearly the entire last half of the match but nonetheless a solid victory on your 4th HC title. Congrats, now never beat me again :)

Frost and Flesher with the TENSION~! Good stuff and Frost/HVT feud being setup? our two biggest men fighting, this should be interesting...

...Really now. Why was I showering with CIA?

Now, on to fight Danny to get MY US title back... heh :)

Opening Thugg Promo:

Great setup and leads one to expect more to come (which, of course, there is). Very Austin to sneak in as a truck driver, but it relates to Thugg being a brutal big man, yet cunning. Nice segue from the tape to the opening of the show too.

Frost vs. CIA vs. Ced Ordonez:

-I take the win, but I don’t think it was one of my better matches. Once again, I let the idea of a storyline override good, plain and simple wrestling. I was thinking that CIA and Ced have had a lot of heat with Frost in the past (and I should have played that up more) and they would most likely work together against him. So, Frost would have to try to do something to set them at odds and then win by taking advantage of it. Which also plays into how I like Frost to be portrayed as a very smart and shrewd heel. With a little more care and an open word limit I could have done what I wanted to with this idea, but I just don’t care much for it in this form.

Frost/Flesher promo:

Thugg asked me to help out with his storyline through the night and I was more than happy to write a couple promos. This plays off of the animosity I’ve been building between Flesher and Frost while also harking back to the end of Storm to set up heat between Frost and Thugg. Frost and Thugg are very interested in working with each other in the future, but both of us looked to be tied up for awhile. I would love to feud with Thugg though and hopefully that can be something everyone can look forward too.

Sigil vs. Judge Mental:

You desperately needed more lead in to the intros; it’s too abrupt the way you have it. Good mentioning of how Sigil always does a post match beatdown, it’s part of his character now. I’m also not too sure why Judge saved Annie on the last Storm; you might want to explore that more. Was it something with Annie or does Judge just want to get at Sigil. Nice in match storyline, Judge using his mat based, takedown oriented style to counteract Sigil’s bruising power game. It’s an old and great story to explore and you do well here by highlighting it in the commentary. I have some problem with Sigil using he Diamond Cutter as a transitional move, whether that’s in his stats that way or not. The Diamond Cutter is pretty much seen as a universal finisher, everyone who uses it uses it as a finisher and it’s proved to be a hard move to survive. It kind of counteracts the across the board psychology of the move. However, you play it off well and having Sigil not even attempt a cover there helps out. If you’re going to use the ref significantly, you might want to name him. There is also no clear cut heel/face lines in the match and the audience seems to be out for most of it, as they probably would be in a match like this of heel vs.heel. What’s with him missing the superkick? Did he purposely mess up, or was that a planned piece of the match? You should have used the commentary to clarify. I’m also not so sure about Judge winning by dq. It’s been established time and again that Sigil is a badass who doesn’t care about winning, so now he needs to either wrack up wins or take a clean loss to incite him on to his usual post match beatdown and drive him to win in the future.

Frost/ELM promo:

This is mine too and I see a mild attempt at a joke is getting all the press. The idea is that Annie isn’t taking a show with CIA, they’re just in the shower at the same time. There is no hanky panky going on. I was trying to take off of the infamous “flip” promo and hence the reference to that. We’ve seen in the past that Annie has a very open attitude about her body and if she needed a shower, but CIA was already in there I don’t think she’d care and go right in. CIA is a laid-back guy, so he’d probably just say “eh,” and go with it. It was just to be a funny little character thing, so sorry if that turned out inappropriate, just ignore it. It wasn’t supposed to be anything anyway, just a touch of levity. I’ll try to watch bits like that in the future, but again I didn’t think anything of it.

Mak Francis vs. Danny Williams:

Great win for Mak to get back on track. I hope this leads to him getting a US title shot in the future. Although, since I have the number one contendership now, that might be a bit down the road. I like how you subtly play that Mak is only a defacto face for being on the outs with Mag 7. The pace, transitions and chain wrestling were all well done. Mak and Danny actually play well off of each other, but I could see Williams discounting Mak’s technical expertise for his own and getting suckered by that. Your commentary really doesn’t click with me and I don’t think you get a good banter going between Riley and Stevens. The analysis and color is solid for the most part though. Some of your sentences tend to be run on with odd syntax, but trying to keep smooth transitions between moves like you do can cause that. You missed a gay joke opportunity with “whipping out the heavy artillery.” Nice near fall sequence, but I think there might be a little too much between that and the real fall to keep the build up. Solid match and win.

Craven vs. Annie Eclectic:

If you’re trying to be edgier and darker, all the jokes have to go. Especially the kiss up in jokes. Creed’s dead, you should have been making fun of them four months ago when it was still en vogue. You play Riley as way too harsh and watch the gratuitous swearing, no reason for it. What’s with the Nightmare nickname? And are you and Tod ever going to do anything with the feud over the XF9 name, considering it’s pretty much defunct and all without you guys trying to war over the name. You’re in match banter and use of the commentary is way off and flat. The opening of the match is real tight and nicely laid out. However, as Annie pointed out, I think you beat on her a little too much at the end. I would have also liked to see you work the crowd a bit more. We do have a face vs. face match here, but one where Annie was recently heel and Ash has turned a lot darker from his previously beloved personality. I think you could have done a lot more with it, but solid as most of your recent work has been. The miscellaneous elements do need some work.

Frost/Thugg Promo

Great chemistry between the two. Thugg dismissing Frost as a n00b and Frost not seeing what the big deal with Thugg is is perfect. I do see a bit of miscommunication with having Ced Ordonez in on the Mag 7 attack. HVT asked me who was all in the stable now and I might have said Ced accidentally, but I don’t think I did. So, this is why Ced and I are teaming on Storm. We’ll work with it, no big deal. I already have some ideas. I think having Flesher trying to take claim for knocking Thugg out and delivering him to Stubby to get the title shot might have been something to work with there, but that’s an outside idea.

Flesher vs. Kibagami vs. Orochi:

I missed the Kibagami and Flesher alliance. I might have missed that promo and I never did get through the last show fully. It felt a little short to me, but still played off well. Having Orochi go out first though is not how I would have played it, being that he is the ICTV champion and the issues between he and Flesher haven’t been totally rectified. Also having Kibagami tap as he did seems unlike his character, but I’ve yet to check out his new stats, so I could be wrong on that. Regardless, this is another top flight effort from Tom that pays attention to both the wrestling and the storylines and characters.

Closing Promo:

Nice close. It keeps the storyline between both Frost and Thugg and Stubby and ELM rolling. I like the suggestion of the Carnies coming to the rescue without seeing what could have been a mess of a donny brook to write. A Mag 7 vs. MC showdown would be cool to see in the future.

Okay, some quick response to Frost's indepth comments.

I have some problem with Sigil using he Diamond Cutter as a transitional move, whether that’s in his stats that way or not. The Diamond Cutter is pretty much seen as a universal finisher, everyone who uses it uses it as a finisher and it’s proved to be a hard move to survive.

Yeah, especially with it being one of my own finishers and probably my favorite finisher (All the mystique about it B-)). I really do have reservations about using it as a common or even signature move, but I tried to use it the best I could.

What’s with him missing the superkick? Did he purposely mess up, or was that a planned piece of the match?

My bad. I wanted to show that Mental was so horribly off his game after receiving such a hard beating for the first part of the match that he couldn't nail the superkick. That really should have been done through the commentary, but I was rushing through the match for the most part (I DAMN THEE, COLLEGE FINALS!)

I’m also not so sure about Judge winning by dq. It’s been established time and again that Sigil is a badass who doesn’t care about winning, so now he needs to either wrack up wins or take a clean loss to incite him on to his usual post match beatdown and drive him to win in the future.

I was really torn on this. I wanted to find a way where I could still win and he could still look like he should have pulled it out. Originally, I wanted him to nearly get a fall, but pull me back up, and beat on me for a few more moments. After that, he'd through me into the corner and go for the superplex, but it would be reversed into the top rope Surpise Witness (Aka Diamond Cutter, baybee!) and I would barely get a win. I almost took that, but I thought the DQ for not letting up on the submission would be a better way for him to keep his monstrous destroyer of all character, but I suppose I was wrong. And I really wasn't sure what to do with the post match beatdown. I probably should have let him do it, and then have asked one of the other Mag 7 members to come down and save me (And if that wasn't possible, Merc could run in and save me). But hindsight is 20/20

Oh crap....Ced's not in M7? yeah, in that PM you put him on the list...sorry about that...i didn't bother to do my usual research and just went strictly on what you told me...even though I had a feelings that Ced wasn't in M7 or something.

Also, I was thinking of actually having Tom take the credit outright, but I didn't really know the relationship between Frost and Tom, and i wanted Frost to be the focal point, not Tom. I suppose if I had known the full extent of their relationship, I could have done more there...

And I would love to see a Carnie/M7 war...wait...didn't we already do that once? Still...it would be cool again!

I double checked the pm I sent you Thugg and Ced isn't listed. What I wrote was, "The Mag 7 at this time in the WF is Frost, Flesher, Danny Williams and Judge Mental. We also have Ejiro and Fugue in the JL as Mag 7 members. Mak Francis is on the outs right now but might be rejoining soon, but he's out right now from what I know."

However, it's no big deal. I'm working on a promo now to take care of it and tie everything together. I'm all about using what's dealt me.

I'm glad you responded to my comments Judge. I wish more people would. I think the finish is fine and I see your logic, it's just not the way I would have done it. I also think Sigil might need to do some refinement of the character on his part, so don't feel bad.

Hmmmm....I just checked to...and...yeah...so Ced wasn't listed. Don't ask me where in the hell I pulled that from! I don't even know how I got convinced that Ced Ordonez was in M7! Just goes to show i guess, people see what they want to see. But wow...I can't believe I just made that up out of nowhere...

Well, Ced Ordonez and Mak Francis have the same amount of letters over two words. Uh...yeah.

Ced Ordonez, Tom Flesher, Mak Francis.

Three people with the Three-Seven naming scheme going on. Ironically enough, we're all in interlinking storylines. I'd add Ash Ketchum, but he's gone to the Seven-Six convention, so you know, I'm confusing everyone with my babble.

You probably should have sent the PM in gangsta. You know...

"Yo, peep dis. Hoods in da Mizzle Sevizzle be Frosty, Flesh Dogg, Deathwish 3 starrin dat tight shit Charles Bronson mothafucka and Judge Judy. Don't ask me man. Then there be dose JL bitches pretendin they thuggin' it, Ejirihosaki or sometin and that guy who listens to dem violins widdout the mixers."

Why yes, I AM white. How did you know? Everything I learned about black people I learned from MTV, Sprite commercials, and late night BET.

And Klan rallies. ;)

That said, great show boys except for the no-showing.

Hey Frost, no worries now that I see how you meant it. That does make a lot of sense at least in Annie's sense. She probably would just walk right in. I think the fact that I thought it was a -shower- not a -shower room- confused me.

:)

Okay, my comments.

Opening promo.

Nice little bit with Thugg. I like his way of getting in, though you have to wonder how he'll get in next time.

Frost vs. CIA vs. Ced Ordonez

You put in a LOT of history between the three guys, which makes the match story much richer. That's the nice thing about the SWF: You've probably fought everyone at least once, and in most cases twice or three times, and you still might have gone against them in the JL.

Riley: “Why don’t Ced and CIA wrestle each other? They’re looking to ambush Frost that’s why and he knows it. Hey…if Frost takes the count out loss does that mean Ced and CIA both go on to face Williams?”

Cut to a screeching monkey mashing his head into his typewriter and paper flying everywhere. Cut back.

Bahahaha. Just wanted to acknowledge that. You have the logically double team of the hoss, which is a tried and true path. Like tag matches, there really isn't a reason to not go for this one. A backdrop/neckbreaker combo and you sit up afterwards? I dunno, I just find that part kinda awkward. Good way of setting up a reason why the two faces would turn on each other, and the roll up was a great way to put in a little surprise. You tease a big move with Ced, but then you give a roll up to Frost. Some nice spots, especially with the playing-off-each-others-misplaced-hatred deal. Overall, a very solid job.

Promo

Nice job. Thugg is just everywhere, isn't he? *Judge looks around, and checks his closest before continuing* Well, thank God he isn't in he- *Thugg begins crawling out from under his bed.* HOLY SHIT! Comments later! I fucking out of here!

Um, yeah, there was a Kibagami promo missing from that show.

I'll read it when I can scrape myself back off the carpet.
