Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Royal Rumble Date : 01/19/2003 Time : 7:45 p.m. Venue : FleetCenter City/State : Boston , Massachusetts Ticket Information : On sale Dec. 21. Tickets are available at the Box Office and area Ticketmaster outlets. Charge-by-phone with Ticketmaster by calling (617) 931-2000. Ticket prices are $300 (ringside, includes souvenir chair), $90, $65, $45 and $25. Ticket purchases may be subject to service/convenience charges and facility fees. Event Card : Card is subject to change ------------------------------------- I'm going with 2 of my friends and we had NO problem putting up 200 bucks for tickets (Price of Armageddon tickets, ringside), and 50 for other stuff (We are coming from Maine) but good lord. The WWE needs to fucking realize that the product sucks and people ARE NOT going to be dishing this kind of money out to this company for some half ass show (if they fuck it up.) even in a loyal WWE town like Boston. Why can't I fucking pay 200/250 without the damn chair? Oh well, I suppose going with the 90 dollar ones aren't the end of the world...but we really wanted ringside. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 At Survivor Series it was $
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Yeah, that's the problem, Bob. WWE assumes towns like NYC and Boston will easily sell out for PPVS, so jack up the prices.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted December 12, 2002 If they were smart, they would come to American Airlines Center in Dallas for some big shows, they always sell well here. Plus, the rednecks make the crowd very hot. However, I would never pay 200 for a ticket to a current WWE show. No freaking way. Onto a completely different subject, a couple weeks ago, when I was watching RAW, J.R. was promoting the Smackdown that was to take place the next night on Dallas, in the AAC. However, the guy called it American Airlines Arena, not once, not twice, but freaking countless times. Sorry, but that really bothered me, and made me want to throw a hockey puck through the TV screen.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 It's pointless to get a ringside seat Hartfan. A seat in the 100s is just as fine and you don't have a bunch of people trying to get on camera
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Nah, that's the way they always are for the bigger shows. I'm surprised their that low for rumble, because usually only the old IYH are $300. Mania will be $500.

A seat in the 100s is just as fine and you don't have a bunch of people trying to get on camera Yeah, I know. I've gotten ringside for house shows (which I always get good seats for), but when I got it for Smackdown in July of 2001, I got fucking LAST ROW RINGSIDE! That was gay. I guess it's a blessing in disguise, but we were hell bent on getting ringside, too....oh well.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 If he does MSG for WMXX- I can't wait to see ringside prices. That's gonna be something

I've gotten ringside for house shows (which I always get good seats for), but when I got it for Smackdown in July of 2001, I got fucking LAST ROW RINGSIDE! That was gay. Hey, I was at that show, too. The last one before Invasion and RVD's WWF television debut. I'm probably going to wait a little while to decide wether or not I want to go. There should be plenty of good seats left by the beginning of January, despite JR saying it's "sold out".
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 12, 2002 This surprised you why? I mean hell ringside for ECW PPVs were $100 so $300 for one of the major WWE ppvs is no big thing.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 This surprised you why? I mean hell ringside for ECW PPVs were $100 so $300 for one of the major WWE ppvs is no big thing. Cause the product didn't suck and people were willing to pay that money for ECW cause they knew they would get quality wrestling. Why do I want to go to a PPV, watch Dawn/Torrie make out on the big screen forever when I can sit at home and do it? At least in ECW you KNEW you were getting wrestling. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 I love how the WWE blames everything on the economy, yet they charge prices like this for Survivor Series and Rumble...even if it is a bigger PPV. And why should I take the risk of going to a PPV ringside for 300 dollars and getting King of the Ring 2002 like quality matches and entertainment when I could go to the cheaper Unforgiven show ringside and enjoy myself with decent enough wrestling? Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Then don't go Oh, I'm going too. I may sound pretty repetitive and bitchy....but that's because of the outlandish prices for ringside. I have no problem paying for the 90 bucks even if I get shitty wrestling. It just pisses me off the WWE assumes that going into big wrestling towns will sell out despite having shit on their product or not. And I want to just go down there and try to meet the wrestlers after the show like I did in 2001 (Jericho, O'Haire, Chavo, Palumbo, Storm).
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 And you have to realize that this PPV does have the Royal Rumble match itself which I have always wanted to witness live....so even if Katie Vick herself was in the Rumble, it would still be exciting and enjoyable. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 It just sounds like you're really pissed off at the company right now and giving them a ton of $ isn't the right way to go. Of course when I met Linda McMahon a couple weeks ago I showed my displeasure by thanking her for putting Regal v. Goldust in some form on the ppv.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Don't mean to get you down but I don't the 1999 Royal Rumble match was too exciting live
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 It just sounds like you're really pissed off at the company right now and giving them a ton of $ isn't the right way to go. That's true...and that's why I really don't have any problem at all with the 90 cause it's not as big of a deal as paying 300 is.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Don't mean to get you down but I don't the 1999 Royal Rumble match was too exciting live Yeah, but you know as much as I do the whole thing was built and revovled around Austin/Vince and a good portion of the stuff happened out of the ring which probably killed the crowd. And the outcome was pretty obvious too (Either Vince or Austin winning). Did you enjoy Foley/Rock, though?
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted December 12, 2002 I remember WMXIV ticket prices when I went. I paid about $100 and I still got bad seats.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 12, 2002 I didnt go to RR99- I was just pointing out that not all Rumbles are great. RR03 should be a fun rumble- I've enjoyed the last three
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 12, 2002 I didnt go to RR99- I was just pointing out that not all Rumbles are great. RR03 should be a fun rumble- I've enjoyed the last three Yeah.....but I'm sure they are a lot more fun live then watching on TV. That's my point is that even if the WWE product blows, the Rumble is always something that seemed to be fun to watch live. BTW....I'm going to bed, so I probably won't be back in this thread til tommorow (hopefully I have no school).
Guest razazteca Report post Posted December 12, 2002 forget Dallas have F'N Wrestlemania at San Antonio with HBK vs Austin for the biggest sell out ever in the history of WWF/E.......as the guy from the suit commercial would say I Guantee A Sell Out of 100,000.
