Guest Snappy Nappy Dugout Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 Damn, they are losing to New Orleans. This has to be thier worst losing record ever. I feel so sorry for them that I might as well quit my franchise in NBA 2K3 with the celtics and start one with the lakers. Well...... Post your thoughts about the Lakers. Edit: And do you hear that crowd? Damn, They are fucking silent!
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 I love it! This is absolutely f'n perfect. The Lakers are below my Clippers in the standings and we have yet to have our entire team play together all season. With Candyman and Odom back soon, the Clips will finally be the best team in LA. It's funny, because nobody is talking about what a great coach Phil Jackson is anymore. What about Kobe, that overrated loser. It's all about Karma and the Lakers are finally getting what is coming to be them. I HATE THE LAKERS!!!!
Guest Paranoid Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 It was pretty bad, Jack was seen on the sideline and I swear he was asleep. But it doesn't matter, as long as they get in the playoffs. Oh and this isn't their worst start by far. Go back and look and some of there records in the middle 90's. And by the way, Phil is the still the best coach in the league and Kobe is still the best guard in the leauge, and if I must say it, Shaq is still the best center in the league. The have won three rings! What else do they have to play for? I agree that four would be great, but they are in serious need of some direction. They just don't seem to care, YET! Wait until the playoffs.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 As a pretty big Kings fan, I am loving watching the Lakers get hammered, though the cynic in me worries that they will blow the season, not make the playoffs, and somehow end up with the number one pick in the draft.
Agent_Bond34 Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 I don't really care about the Lakers. They have won three rings in a row, gotta give them credit for that. Other than that, I just don't give a shit. One thing I can't stand is how they are labeled "World" Champions. It doesn't make very much sense IMO and I have never quite figured out why they are called that. Ditto for MLB and the NFL. I realize these leagues have been doing this for a long time, but, I just haven't really understood why. So as far as the Lakers go, I could care less what happens to them. All I hope for is that the Bulls improve and become a better team once again.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 I don't know what happened to LA this year, but I'm glad they're losing too. Why? Because simply, I don't want to see them get 4 straight. But if they get a horrible record and do bad in the playoffs this year, I can see them coming back next year stronger than ever.
Guest Bricks Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 As a long-time Laker fan, I'm sooo disappointed and shocked. I don't know what's wrong. It looked like things were turning around after that win against the Mavs, but nothings changed.
Guest CanadianChris Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 Their biggest problem is that they don't have enough guys who can actually play. Their rosetr is really only 4 or 5 deep; their bench is non-existent. The other 3 parts of the Big 5 (Horry, Fox and Fisher) are all having off-years so far. They looked worse than this in the post-Magic years, but at least everyone knew to expect it, because they had no players. Something's going to explode soon, and it's not going to be pretty.
Guest Smues Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 I'm loving watching the Lakers lose, but I'll keep my mouth shut until they either don't make the playoffs or are eliminated from them. Until them i'll save my celebrating because I just know they'll come back and piss me off.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 They lost again to the T-Wolves! Looks like it will be a great Christmas afterall!
Guest Mad Dog Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Yeah Phil is such a great coach. Too bad you could put any Joe Smoe in his position with all the talent he's had and they'd have the same success.
Agent_Bond34 Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I don't know what happened to LA this year, but I'm glad they're losing too. Why? Because simply, I don't want to see them get 4 straight. But if they get a horrible record and do bad in the playoffs this year, I can see them coming back next year stronger than ever. I pretty much echo that exact sentiment. BTW, that banner of yours rules all.
