Survivor Series 2002...title matches: 5...title changes: 5

Armageddon 2002...title matches 4...title changes 3

 

And with the Armageddon the only title that didn't change hands is the chick belt...so both world titles changed hands at both shows...and at each of the last two shows one of the tag belts was on the line, and that changed...plus a cruiser and meaningless woman's title at Survivor.

 

Remember when people would have reigns that lasted a few months.

 

I think it's sad they took the belt off Brock, only to give it to a guy who's only holding it a month, they could still salvage a decient angle out of this though.

 

And I think it's really selfish for HHH not to put over anyone but his buddy on ppv...instead of a more over worker, like RVD or Jericho.

 

The shows are getting too predictable and lame...and I don't know if we'll ever see another world title switch on free tv again

SS: Kidman got the belt because it was about DAMN TIME somebody beat Noble. Victoria did it for the same reason. Big Show did it because...go read Scott Keith's take. IT fuckin sucks, but it's true. Los Guerreros did it because Benoit and Angle are like singles stars and Rey was ready for knee scoping. HBK got it to build something to put HBK out until WM or something.

 

Tonight: BookerDust did it because it showed that people actually CARED for the outcome of the match, and Vitamin C had a good little run with the belts. Angle did it so that inbetween getting his knee scoped and Rumble, he can build to something with Benoit, and HHH did it because HBK is absolutely DONE right now.

 

So as I see it, those are six different titles you're talking about. It's gonna be HHH vs. SOMEBODY at RR, with Steiner and HHH building for WM. It's gonna be Angle/Benoit for RR and maybe NWO, and then Angle/Brock for DA BELT at WM. Right now, WWE needs to get to WrestleMania, and then, to make EVERYBODY FUCKIN HAPPY, they need Brock to be champ, Steiner to be champ, and a HAPPENIN Rocky/Goldberg match (if it happens) so that people are interested again. After that, RVD NEEDS to finally get a run with the belt, and I want my Benoit/Brock matches RIGHT FUCKIN NOW.

I think part of the reason that titles may not feel so important is because there's no title defended on TV anymore. Even the friggin' womens matches are non-title on Raw anymore.

 

Cruiserweight was defending on TV for a while, but that stopped, too. Appearantly, they noticed that marks are catching on that there's a near-infintessimal chance belts will change hands on Free TV, and thus remedied that by hardly ever defending belts.

I'd absolutely love to see RVD beat HHH tonight on RAW for the World Title. That would just make my day. However, I know it won't happen, and HHH will more than likely walk into Wrestlemania 194587 the World Champion still, and RVD still wouldn't have won the damn belt. See, now that HHH is the champ, you can pretty much bet that it won't change hands anytime soon.
